To the Far North is a small and old village, known as Urkteth. It is a coastal village, surrounded by cobble-stone walls, and a dense fir and spruce forest. Lately, there have been rumors of strange noises and wisps of energy coming from old ruins to the west. The village is in unrest because of such an event. Some say that the ruins are regaining power, and others say that it is trying to create a portal to a strange realm. Nevertheless, it must be explored. Too bad the village guards are too superstitious to take on such a task.

You are one of those who have been intrigued by such a tale. Well, that or the reward money for exploring it. But, nevertheless, it must be explored...

The village is surrounded by cobble-stone walls, with arch-ways for entrances pointing towards each cardinal direction. In the middle of the city lies a small, but grand manor. The parchment said to meet at the building to discuss the task with the lord of the village. Better get going...
Xylia Sorrowwynd (played by Bookworm)

Xylia looked down at the piece of parchment in her hands, a joyful smile on her face. Her boots clicked with each step on the street path, full of confidence as she searched for the manor she was ordered to go to. She had an opportunity for an adventure and she would never turn down something as interesting as a situation like this. The young woman tightened her scarf around her neck, seeing a small manor not too far ahead. She had better hurry, or she would be late and miss the meeting with the Lord!

When she reached the door, she knocked on the door before rushing to fix her hair to look more presentable. She wished not to insult him. She stood up straight and waited, rereading the parchment once more before looking around her and the manor.

A man clothed in heavily plated steel armor opens the door with a pike in his left hand. The man stares down at the lass through his visored helm. "What business do you have here maiden?"
Xylia Sorrowwynd (played by Bookworm)

She held the parchment to the man, a polite smile on her face as she looked up at him. "I am here to speak with your lord about the mysterious ruins near his village. It says on here to come here to meet with him." She tilted her head, her smile falling slightly. "May I come in to do so, sire?"
Metaralis Outteridge (played by AkuaNoMizu)

Suddenly, two voices could be heard approaching. They seemed to be arguing slightly. "What if it's a trap? It seems to be really shady, if you want my opinion," said the first one, a short knight with very long hair. The second person, a tall and strong man, rolled his eyes. "Why would it be a trap? They are asking for help. And don't you have a code of honor to respect about helping people since you are a knight?" The knight stopped, crossing his arms. "A knight only needs to serve their king. We are not vigilantes." A wide smile appeared on the other's lips as he folded the parchment. "Well as your king, I order you to come with me to help those people! Come on, now, let's not make them wait." They both turned toward the manor, but stopped as they finally realized the woman's presence, and the open door. Knowing they probably heard the whole thing, the king smiled awkwardly. "...Hello. We are here for the, um, invitation?"
(Uhm, ignore the last post, i'm 76% brain damaged and i didn't read the description by full...)
In the main street leading up to the manor, the boy slowly jogged up to it. Despite his lack of hygiene or clothing in good state, he seemed rather fancy for someone who lives in the streets.
After approaching the main building, the boy took a look around examining it's size. He had always seen it from afar, but he never really approached it. Lowering his pace and adjusting his posture, the boy entered the building and approached the group that was being eyed upon by the armored man.
Sari'na (played by BossMcFloss)

A large elven man who seemed to be looking impatiently strolled through twon in search of a manor. He pushed past people only to come upon it. He saw the three and looked past them, the door ajar. He looked at his parchment, this was the place, the place that he had been sent. His experience with dark forces had brought him by order of, someone. He stood behind the rest of these wandering warriors and waited for them to enter so he could as well.

The man's armor clunked as he spoke. "Ah yes. So you must be the adventurers that were ordered to come here and help? Well, go on into the manor. It's a straight shot from the door to the throne room where he is right now. Though, if we catch you stealing anything, the hand that you grabbed the item with will be cut off. So mind your manners." He steps side, and opens the door wide for them to walk through.
Xylia Sorrowwynd (played by Bookworm)

Xylia nodded her head respectfully to him as she walked past and into the manor. She turned her head to the others and smiled at them for a moment before looking around the manor as she followed the gaurd's instructions. When in the throne room, she moved towards it with the others and bowed her head to the lord. "Thank you for allowing us to enter your manor, sire. Could you please tell us more of the ruins near here?"
Metaralis Outteridge (played by AkuaNoMizu)

The two men looked at each other. "You see, if it turns bad we have friend help us," the king, named Delastarh, said as he walked in. Metaralis, the knight, mumbled, "More people, more trouble," but followed him nonetheless, a hand firmly holding the handle of his sword located on his left hip. They followed Xylia in the throne room, and stayed silence as she talked to the lord. They were both far away from their kingdom, so they had no power around here. They were supposed to be simple adventurers, right now, but the argument they had in front of the others, earlier, might have broken the illusion. Not that Metaralis looked like anything except a knight, at the moment.
Sari'na (played by BossMcFloss)

Sari'na moved forward and through the doorway. He looked ahead into the throne room, seeing the rest of these adventures enter. He followed suit and went in, glancing and catching sight of a few guards, murmuring among themselves as wach entered. He turned to see the throne and stood leaning on his staff, waiting for the lord to speak.
Ezackiel entered as the others did, he didn't seem fazed by the guard's comment though, perhaps he didn't want to look suspicious, or he simply didn't care, either way, the boy took a quick second to examine the people he'd be with for this expedition. First, the elven lady that was in front of the whole group, she seemed to be wearing some type of padded armor. At first, no weapons could be found on her, but upon further inspection he noticed an item that seemed like an dagger, proving that she could infact fight.
The other two men that were talking seemed more like the fighting type, Ezick could only take a good look at the shortest one. This one seemed strong and capable, he was wearing some kind of armor and alongside his waist was a sword, proving that he was some kind of knight.
The tall man behind the boy was the scariest one, just taking a glance at that man left him shaking so he wasn't going to simply stare at him. But what he did see proved that there was something out of the ordinary about that person.

The throne room is decorated with skulls of vicious beasts, some bobcats, some serpents, and even some resembled those of dragons and hydras. In the middle lays a throne, made out of pure steel with a red carpet pathway leading up to it. With two guards of the same garb positioned on both sides. On the throne sits the Lord of the village. The Lord wears a visored and curled horn helmet, as well as the rest of his body is covered in heavily plated armor, as well as what seems to be a blue cloak on his back. In his right hand is a decorated, but finely sharpened greatsword.

"So, you're the lot who came here to help us?" He stands up off of his throne, using the greatsword as a mere walking stick. "Pleasure to meet you all. May I have your names?"
Xylia Sorrowwynd (played by Bookworm)

"My name is Xylia Sorrowwynd, milord." She introduced herself, tilting her head as she studied him before looking around the room in awe. To see such creatures and live to tell the tale of it, hopefully, in their little mission, she would see something just as spectacular again. She had seen deadly beasts in her travels, but none of the heads here, only tales. The woman moved back politely, giving the others a chance to face the lord while she studied the mounted skulls in the room.
Metaralis Outteridge (played by AkuaNoMizu)

The king took a step toward the lord, while his knight kept glaring around. "My name is Delastarh Nagahoshi. And this," he motioned toward the shorter man, "is Metaralis Outteridge. We are humble adventurers." He glanced toward Xylia, hoping she does not reveal his identity. As a king in a kingdom that wasn't his, he had to keep a low profile.

Metaralis nodded slightly, still looking at the collection of skulls. This was only making the wary knight doubt even more this lord. What kind of person was putting skulls all over their throne room? Delastarh had shiny decorations and nice paintings. This was just disturbing. But his king was right. If they were really in danger, they couldn't just ignore it.
The boy stepped foward right after the man did, and after puffing his chest out and clearing his troath he sayd: "My name is Ezackiel, Ezackiel Zabi, you've probably heard of me, right ?" A cocky smirk grew on the boy's face, even if he had just "challenged" a man who was able to kill mythical and magical beasts.
Nevertheless, the boy took a step back, giving the others their chance to introduce thenselves.
Sari'na (played by BossMcFloss)

The elven man stepped forward. "Sari'na, sould weaver under the order Bylis, under archmage Gorida'an." He said this and tapped the floor with his staff, and a purple light flashed revealing an image of two mages dressed similar to Sari'na touching staves above their heads, both hands on the bottom of the shaft. The light faded away into his chest, where that same symbol was seen with a circular outside and in the middle the mages in purple. He lifted his staff and twirled it above his head twice before bringing hinself into a T shape, with his right hand towards the bottom and left on the top. He set his staff back to his right side, where he began leanibg on it again. After he finished this display he looked back to the king. "I come from afar to aid you."

"Indeed, I am Nezegrent. The Beast Slayer Lord. Nevertheless, I admire all your attempts to aid the village by coming here. Should ye prove successful, all of you will be rewarded." He sits back down onto the throne. "Now, as you know, there are ruins to the west of here. Nobody around here knows who built them, but they are suddenly seeing activity after all of this time. We have very few mages in the village, with all of them being too cowardly to check it out. So we don't know if it's magical, or some complicated contraption that is empowering itself."

He gets back up of the throne, and starts walking towards the entrance of the Manor. "Follow me, I'll show ye the way to 'em." He goes outside and begins to walk towards the west gate.
The boy followed right behind the man, he was a bit surprised by how well he took his reputation, either way. He kept his hands to himself.
He took the time of the walk to examine the one man he couldn't take a good look at before. And, just as expected, he also seemed like a capable warrior, perhaps even stronger than the other one.
Metaralis Outteridge (played by AkuaNoMizu)

Delastarh repositioned the the leather strap around his right shoulder and torso that was holding his heavy battle axe on his back, and followed. The weapon was quite beautiful. Shiny double steel blades, with stylized golden prints. He smiled when Ezackiel looked at him, slightly waving his hand covered with a leather and steel gauntlet. The king wasn't wearing light clothes like he usually did back at his castle. He was wearing a full armor made of leather and polished steel (a chainmail with golden edges was also hidden under it), with a short dark red cape around his hips.

Metaralis was right behind him, but he stayed a bit away from the High Elf. The display of magic from earlier made him very nervous. His heart was still beating very fast.

((Note: If you read Metaralis' bio. The doctors and scientists that tried to experiment on him are mages in a medieval fantasy setting. That's why he is afraid of them.))
