Randall scrambled forward before coming to a halt again. "What the he--" he cut himself off, as he realized that the car wasn't a car anymore. "Chris? Are you alive?"
He lost his breath as CD landed on his stomach, but he was still alive. "I-I'm alive." And then he heard CD waking up. "CD, can you, uh maybe get off?" He was trying to move out from under her, but stuck on his back on wheels made that impossible without some extra help. And it seemed Randall hadn't gathered his wits yet.

CD winces and got up weakly and shakily. She looked at Randall.
''What was you expecting? Yes, I'm more than a car...Chris knows it all too well.'' She replied, cringing again and hacking up a random bolt that had came loose from the metal plate. It fell off and revealed her crystallized core, a pure white orb that pulsed like a heart. Energy was immense around it as it functioned to keep her data in order. A thing that kept her sentient, but could easily be moved to different things. Thug it was tightly attached to wires, and appeared busy while it processed commands constantly.

Chris groaned as he managed to get free of CD. "You're nowhere near as heavy as a car like this," he said, "but you're not exactly feather light either."
Getting to his feet, he saw he'd earned the attention of the other mechanics. "Guys, CD can transform into a human android. As well as a car. Don't touch her core; it'll fry you."
He grabbed some gloves and picked up the bolt she had hacked up. "Let's get you fixed, shall we?"
Randall shook his head. "You are a kid full of surprises, Chris. I'm no good with 'bots. So you're on your own with that."

CD glared as one mechanic did end up touching her core. Only to laugh when they passed out from shock. ''Told you.'' She snorted, wincing again and picking up the metal. But she went into another coughing fit, and ended up hacking out her core....And collapsed afterwards, lifeless, onto the ground.
"Are you deaf?! I said not to touch it!" Chris picked up the core as the other mechanics dragged their fallen buddy away to recuperate. At least they had better respect for it now.
He eyed the lifeless body of CD and sighed. "Right, to work." He opted to work on the body first, getting everything mended and attached, before adding the core again. This way he didn't have to worry about getting sparked or electrocute or triggering any other switch. He also didn't have to worry about someone snatching it or messing with it, as he kept it in his pocket until he was ready to put it back in.
"Alright, and proof that all's well," he said, putting the core back into place. "Wakey-wakey, CD."

CD stirs awake, the core sparking back to life and getting busy again. ''Nnngh....'' She groaned, opening her eyes slowly. ''What happened?''
Chris grinned. "Just a little mechanical failure, nothing big. Oh, and your rear tire might be flat, but I'd need you to be in your car form to fix that. Is your core alright? You hacked it up a while ago."
''The guard was loose.'' She replied, and changes back to her car form carefully, the tire still flat. The mechanic that had passed out was finally starting to stir to conciousness, wincing from some burns. ''Evil car!'' They shouted.
Chris glared at the mechanic. "You're a moron to have touched it in the first place! Thanks, CD." He did a quick tire change and then fixed it back in place.
"There we're good to go."
Rolling belatedly into the shop, Clutch beeped once. "What happened?"

Rolling belatedly into the shop, Clutch beeped once. "What happened?"
''A mechanic touched my core. Stupidly.''
Static crackled over Clutch's speakers to indicate his annoyance. "Stupid human, he should know better than to mess with what he doesn't understand."
"Hey!" Chris said. "Some mechanics learn by doing, and others by what not to do. He learned his lesson anyway. And we should probably be going. There's no telling what condition my dad or his shop is in with him and 54 being left alone."

54 was somewhat awake, but her core ran a systems check and the results silently printed out from near one of her headlights andc the paper soon landed on the ground. Though it was stained red a bit, blood red.
''Whats the worse that could happen?'' CD asked, when the scene shifted back to the track.

Bill Sanders had been lurking in his garage, keeping an eye on 54 as he ran through the WRX's systems. The sound of paper drifting to the floor caught his attention and he turned to pick it up. He nearly dropped it when he realized the red wasn't ink.
He scanned the paper, trying to make sense of it.
Chris shrugged. "Oh, I don't know; I guess if 54's asleep it'll be fine."

Chris shrugged. "Oh, I don't know; I guess if 54's asleep it'll be fine."
The paper detailed that her cores power was low since she was still barely awake. It noted all her systemic parts, and which were working and which ones were off. The last object listed that a...Human arm was still stuck somewhere near the printer.
''Well, we know how she is of she's barely awake...'' CD replied.
''Well, we know how she is of she's barely awake...'' CD replied.
Bill frowned and then ambled over to the driver's seat of the car, where he reached in to turn off 54's engine. He wasn't going to stick his arm in a place where someone else's had become stuck.
Chris frowned. "Barely awake; if 54's volatile when she's fully away, how is she when she's tired?"
Chris frowned. "Barely awake; if 54's volatile when she's fully away, how is she when she's tired?"
54 flinches and shut her door, trapping Bill inside. Being that her droggyness meant that anything touching her would end up fearing their life. Bill was now inside her drivers seat.
''Well, her sensors are sensitive.'' CD inquired.
''Well, her sensors are sensitive.'' CD inquired.
Bill should have seen this one coming; honestly, he'd worked with enough cars to know better. But he tried the door handle first and then the locks. And then tried both simultaneously.
"Uh, 54? It's just me. You mind letting me out?"
Chris sighed. "How sensitive are we talking? And in what manner?"

Chris sighed. "How sensitive are we talking? And in what manner?"
54 growled, but her doors stayed shut. Her radio was dull, indicating she was still tired. ''Who? What?'' She asked.
''Enough she'll lock her doors and trap things.'' CD snirked.
''Enough she'll lock her doors and trap things.'' CD snirked.
"Me, Bill Sanders? Chris Sander's father? A mechanic? Um, how to put it simply: the owner of the garage in which you are residing as a guest. And as a co-owner of Clutch who worked with CD to help you...?" It was worth a try and he leaned back in the seat. He'd wait until he heard the "click" of the locks before trying again.
Chris snickered. "Oh man...it's been years since my dad's been locked inside a car."
Chris snickered. "Oh man...it's been years since my dad's been locked inside a car."
54 scowls weakly but the locks unlock slowly, clicking eventually. She yawned tiredly, and her doors locked quickly. If bill was smart, he'd have noticed that there was a wire poking out that controlled the locks since her dashboard was disassembled, hardly noticed before.
''Let's go check on'em.'' CD inquired.
