Hi, I'm new. I joined last night and since then I've already been looking for and trying to join other people's RPs.

I like fantasy and sci-fi, though as a role-player I'm more comfortable doing fantasy as I do write fantasy in my spare time. I would like to try different sci-fi RPs though to help stretch my wings and my creativity.

Welcome to RPR! Fantasy is a super popular genre, so I'm sure you'll be finding some RPs soon! Barring that you can propose your own game using the Find RP tool You say you write fantasy in your spare time, are you working on a book? Do you participate in nano?

I'm actually working on a series of books. I already have the first series of ten books pretty much all planned out, and then the quasi-sequel mostly planned out. I just have to find the time to sit down and actually write.

I'm actually hoping to do a test run of the world I'm creating by doing an RP with my friends within it. Testing out to make sure the rules of magic work, the geography works, the history makes sense, etc.

My series will be a fantasy. The first series will take place on worlds of my own creation, and the magic system revolves around the four elements. The quasi-sequel has a character from the first series, and does come after it by a couple to a few years. This one occurs on Earth and some of the characters are alive and on Earth from the first series, they just live in a different part of the world so they don't really appear. It's all the same universe though. I'm currently going through the lineages of a couple of the more relevant royal families of my creation that are important to the plot.
