Here is our thread to discuss things about the world we are setting up for the RP.

So far the rules are. low magic .

Next thing we should come up with.
Maybe a name for the world and some rough geographical aspects of it.


RULES OF THE WORLD (so far)
Main land + islands
Rebellion brewing.
Two royal families. One in charge and one fueling the rebellion.
Orcs/elfs allowed but low magic.
Alchemy allowed as science magic and not pure magic
Religion is important and the religion of the world includes angels, it's not a strict religion nor is it bloody but it's respected and revered

Possibly a small sized continent, with multiple different biomes.

Im thinking one main land and then three main islands surrounding it.

That could be cool, I could contribute to drawing it to possibly give it a more visual display.

Im not sure about other smaller island or something like that. I guess we should discuss the main land first then move on to the bigger island or since we're ony two people here then we can decide on one of the minor islands so others get more of an input on those things that really matter lol

Yeah, that is fine with me! But I do have a question... My characters are meant to be royalty. I can of course adjust this but that's what they are meant for. Is this possible or??

We don't need to define every single place in detail either! We can fill it in as we go along.

Maybe there's some kind of war going on? That would add to the tension and give us something of a starting plot.

I'd prefer to keep this RP simple so how about a rebellion? The mainland is united but there's a rebellion brewing.

Some squabbles among the islands or pirates but nothing larger than that.

Its absolutely possibly as there are plenty of lords and ladies and if you want an acctual royality then we have the old royality maybe inflaming the rebellion in the mainlands.?

Good plan. Maybe the province that is thinking about rebelling was only originally brought into the alliance by force and they've always resented it?

(Just posting using this character but I'll change for the actual character I will use when they are made.) This world building happens to be what I love to do the most.

Are we doing all humans or are elfs/orcs/etc. acceptable?

I think we should discuss the dynamics of the kingdom, for example how they are made up and who rules what and such.

I'm imagining something pretty similar to 1300s or 1400s western Europe, as far as culture goes, though maybe with a fantasy religion swapped in for Christianity. Or else have the society be a little less religious (since religion was insanely important to medieval culture)

I would say my characters are associated with angels. I think for the rps sake keeping the main concepts of Christianity and maybe adding onto it would be simplest.

they are allowed to an extent. They may be different but their powers are limited.

How about a made up religion. Angels can be a big thing surrounding it but I don't like the thought of using an existing religion.
