Flavio's hopes of meeting another creature that could be considered monsterous was answered. A most unlikely man entered the bar; a Satyr.
Satyr, also more commonly known as Goatmen, are a race of the Halfmen category. These in particular being half goat. Satyr are a rare race, once held in high regard thanks to their talent of playing beautiful music, but now most of them are seen as troublemakers, thinking they are entitled to get away with everything becuase their race is getting near extinction. Even the Elves were starting to have less respect for these creatures. This one seemed to be no exception. The entire bar gave the Goatman a dirty look before they minded their own business.
The Satyr did not like that."What's the matter you dung eating meatbags?! Can't I even try 'n get drunk without you sorry excuses for people trying to stare me down!? Gods help me, I should backhand the lot o' you!" The foul mouthed Satyr screeched through the tavern. This seemed to be normal, since no one reacted to it."Calm down, Willow." The bartender spoke to him."I've got your bottle of rum ready for you." The Goatman snorted."As long as it ain't watered down, I suppose." The creature looked like any regular Satyr would look. The upper body of a very hairy man with long horns curling downwards and ending next to the cheekbones, a long goattee, fluffy goat legs and a milky white skin (there's no sunlight that'll ever get through that amount of hair). Willow wore a thick leather, though he seemed to be unarmed. The creature made his way to the bar, having no eye for anything else but his bottle of rum.
Lisette was about to speak when the Goatman entered."Oh, speaking of party poopers, there you have one." She sighed. Lyphi had smiled in a friendly way to Arien and awkwardly stepped on her left foot. She liked the attention she got for once, but Alsilia glared at Arien."Bones make a more fun sound when they get broken. And unless you want me to demonstrate, you best keep your flirting with these two." She warned him. Clearly she was not one for being flirted with."Oh, don't be such a Betty Downer." Lisette mused before keeping her attention with Arien. At least he got two of the three girls to be friendly with him."Odd, though. You look like the type of guy who finds fun wherever he goes. How'd you two get so close? You sound like total opposites."

Arien winced and glared at the Satyr when he entered. Goatman or whatever, the guy seriously need to work on his attitude.
He turned his attention back to Alsilia and shrugged. "At least you have fun with it?" he offered. "Or do you have other activities you regard as fun?"
Then he grinned wryly at Lyphi. The mute was cute, though if she stuck around long enough she was sure to see Arien put his foot in his mouth more than once.
As for Lisette: "We both wound up living in the same town and hit it off. I think literally. He cuffed me upside the head when I was, ah, trying to make a friend at one of the local pubs." He rubbed the back of his head as though in memory.

The gnoll's brow rose, and he could not help but chuckle as his wish was so graciously filled. He took a tug from his pint and then moved over to the satyr. "Why hello good sir! Don't you seem highly out of place here in this town? Don't you fit through the city gates with those horns of yours?" Flavio jested as he climbed the stool next to the satyr. As always the gnoll couldn't help but find his own jokes hillarious, and by the time he was seated he was cackling once again.
Willow the Satyr had just taken his first chug of rum when Flavio spoke to him. His comment made him chuckle though."Me? Out of place? What about you, stinker? How many babies did you devour on your way in here!?" He laughed loudly, he too found his jokes to be the best around. He didn't seem to make any difference between humans and other races. His jokes were as rude to Flavio as they were to any other."By gods you're an ugly bastard." He blurted out."Nice hat, though. I wish I could wear hats. Want some rum? Maybe we'll both look pretty at the end of the evening."
Alsillia yawned."I fight, I make a decent living, and I go out drinking sometimes. It's as fun as it gets." She answered Arien calmly."But now I better go. I've got a few morning battles in the morrow." She said as he she straightened herself up."Girls, keep good care of the hero here, and if you're serious about sparring, meet me in the noon. I'll be training then in the Steelgrinder Arena." The girls waved her goodbye as she pushed her way out of the tavern. The human girl listened to him carefully."I see. This night might get interesting then, huh?" She smiled as she looked outside of a window."Oh, it's past sunset." Lisette remarked before she started to giggle."I'll let you in on a little secret. Alsillia afraid of the night. That's why she left probably."

Arien made a mental note to himself of the Steelgrinder Arena. He would have to check it out tomorrow; maybe he could talk Bender or Flavio in joining him.
He did a double-take at Lisette. "Wait, she's afraid of the dark and she's going home alone? We should walk her back, shouldn't we?" He drained the rest of his mug and then set it down on the counter. "It's only proper."
With all the excitement and flirting, he'd completely forgotten about his injured arm; though the mug of ale had probably helped dull the pain, and the bandage which was slowly growing redder was also hidden by his cloak.

Flavio, being generally sensitive to humour was cackled as much at the satyr's jokes as the satyr himself. "Only a few lambs, I was intending to apologise for that!" The gnoll could be rude as well. The gnoll took a swig from his own ale to empty it, and then nodded. "Aye, aye. I'll take you up on that goatman!"
Lisette giggled as she finished her glass of wine. Clearly she was not the type of person that drank often, since she almost tripped over her own feet when she tried to take a step. Lyphi rolled her eyes, as if to say 'oh great, she's drunk.'
"She doesn't live far, although it is pretty crowded in here. Maybe she'd appreciate it, or she'd slap you across the face." She tried to sound serious, but pretty much failed at it. Lyphi finished her drink as well and looked at Arien, since he seemed to be the only person around that had a good judgement about now. None of the girls could see that he was wounded though, unless he started to make strained faces, his wound wasn't obvious.
The bartender gave Flavio a shot glass, and the Satyr filled it up with rum as he laughed."Oh, this evening just got good." He said as he raised his glass."To those poor lambs. May they give you few stomach aches."

Arien reached out to steady Lisette as she stumbled over her feet. "Easy there," he grinned at her. "You don't drink much, do you." It wasn't really a question, just an observation.
He smiled at Lyphi, catching her eye-roll. "At least you don't have to watch what you say." He glanced back at the doors. "Well, it wouldn't be the first time I was smacked," he offered helpfully. "We should still see her home. And maybe you two as well." He was still steady; it took more than a drink to knock him over; several to make him flat out drunk--and that was a sight no one really wanted to see.
He glanced over to the bar when he heard the familiar laugh of the hyena to find that his companion had found a friend as well. To each their own, he thought.

Flavio took the first glass with a grin and downed it in a few audible gulps. "I must warn you. For the longest time I was active on the less than regulated sea trade. This may take a while." The musketeer says as he whipes his muzzle clean.
Lyphi raised her shoulders with a proud grin. It's true, no one would know when she means to insult someone. Lisette shook her head and giggled again."I can drink a modest amount, but honestly, this is strong stuff!" It wasn't. it was a simple wine from the local vineyard without extra added alcohol."A walk would be pretty fun right now, I think. I wonder how Alsillia would react to us when we find her in the streets. Would she scream in terror, or punch the first person she sees? The secrets of life, eh?" Lyphi patted her back and shook her head as she walked to the door.
Outside the streets were getting less and less busy. More golems could be seen patrolling the streets and yawning guards were ready to go home to their families, except for those who were on Golem duty, which meant they had to keep control of the patrol golem to make sure it doesn't go beserk on innocents. The candles in the streets were lit, giving the place a beautiful rural look.
Inside Bender Of Iron Will and his guard buddies were near passing out."One...one mo' lad... 'n you win." The mustached off duty guard blinked for a few moments and didn't reply for a long time."Yeah...okay... swe-swell.." As he tried grab his mug, but when he did he dropped his head onto the table. It took a while for Bender to realise he won."Still got it!" He suddenly yelled through the bar."Now I gots to lie down, lads." The sea captain stood up and with some help from the still sober guards he managed to get into his bed and catch a good night's sleep.
"Ah, yes, the 'relatively legal' sea life. I get it, I get it. Never got the opportunity to join in that life. Sailors don't take kindly to my horns, I suppose. That or they really hate magical panflutes. Might be a combination of the two, either way, it's racist." Willow snickered as he finished his shot."So what brings one with sea legs so far into this forsaken city?" The Satyr asked curiously."I've not seen many other baby eaters here."

Arien laughed, amused by the whole gambit. "Ya know, I'm not too shabby at discovering secrets. And this one might be worth discovering." No pain no gain, right? Well, Arien wasn't one to shy away from pain.
He followed the women outside, pausing for a moment to look at the Golems. He hadn't really gotten a good look at them yet, and when he did, he wasn't sure what to make of them. Except that he was fairly sure he didn't want to face them head-to-head in a swordfight.
"We probably shouldn't dawdle," he murmured half to himself, half aloud for the others to hear. "We wouldn't want Alsillia to get in trouble."

Flavio finishes another shot, still seemingly unaffected by the booze. "Just a little errand I'm running for that old guy there." The gnoll inclines his head towards Bender, and gives he old man a wave and a grin. "It pays, furthermore being away from the sea is a good change, my species doesn't even usually live near the shore."
The gnoll fills a third and then a fourth shot, and downs both, still not visibly affected. "But, but aye. T'is a shame y'didn't fin' a crew. Acuz me be certain ye'd find a crew that'd take ya." The gnoll answers, his voice suddenly startingly different.

Bender Of Iron Will tried to wave back at Flavio, though instead of waving, he bashed his hand into the wall, giving him a splinter in his one good hand. Swearing like an adult he went up and would not be heard of for the entire night again.
Willow had seen what Bender did to that poor innocent wall and couldn't help but laugh."Well, that old guy's a doof, that's for sure. What does this errand involve? Butt ointment? You look like a guy who'd help a man sell butt ointment." He chuckled, taking another drink, trying to follow Flavio in his drinking, but that didn't turn out well. After the third shot he lowered his head."Your tongue sounds funny." The Satyr grinned."Well thank you bud. I'm of the loyal sort after all. I'm like a very handsome dog. Except I can't raise my leg above my shoulder to lick my arse."
"Not much of a city dweller, are you?" Lisette remarked when Arien paused his walk."They're harmless until the guard sais otherwise." The girl could walk straight again after being in the fresh air for a moment."I like their crystals. They power the whole thing. Mages put the same kind of crystals on their staff I heard." Lisette rambled on until they reached a narrow street without any people out, except for a fat tabby cat lying down in the middle of the road."Hmm, she should be here by now. She's not that fast, did she pass Mortison Street already?"

Arien chuckled. "It's not that I'm not a city-dwelling; it's just that I'm passing through a different city every few days. I like to travel a lot." He still gave the Golems a wide berth however, even in spite of the reassurances. "No offense, but when the guard says it's not friendly, I'm guessing it's too late by then to do anything."
He didn't do anything so actively as to put his hand on the hilt of his sword, but if his elbow pressed against it he could at least pretend he was prepared for a fight.
He frowned. "Mortison Street? How fast does she walk? Is this her usual path?" He looked for the outline of a woman walking in the dark.

The gnoll laughed at that, his raucous laughter filling the room once again. A fifth and sixth shot when down, and now Flavio’s eyes seemed to lose a bit of focus, although he looked at most just tipsy. “I shouldn’t tell ye, mate. T’is a secret, not butt ointment o’course.” He poured himself a seventh shot, still well coordinated until he a bout of maniacal laughter struck him. “Meself can do it, meself can. T’is not ‘ard really.”
Flavio could go on for a while, it’d take a little under 20 shots to knock him out, the bottle they’d ordered might not be enough for that.

Lisette chuckled."You could run." She replied to Arien's statement. Lisette looked at the tag that indicated which street this was."Mortison Street. Yeah, she should be here by now, she's not a fast walker." Suddenly Lyphi put her elbow in both Lisette's and Arien's kidneys. With a face that proclaimed true fear she pointed down the street, where a huge figured just walked out of an alleyway.
He was not completely visible, but the three could define that this person wore a very long coat and a top hat. Once he walked near the light of a nearby candle, it was easy to define that this was a very buff male, though his face remained in the shadows. He also wore a very short cane. It resembled a baton more than anything else. When the figure noticed the group he didn't react. Instead he stood there for a while, motionless. After a moment he pointed at the alleyway he came out of and disappeared into the night.
Lisette finally dared to speak again."What..the...hell... what is..." She emmidiatly ran for the alleyway, where she screamed loudly. Lyphi joined her."Oh, stop screaming, damn it. I'm alive." In between some trashcans was Alsillia, her lip busted, her eye smacked blue, and a few scratches over her body."Alsillia, what happened to you!?" The elf got embraced by both of her friends."I..I don't know, I saw a few people here, and one of them smashed some sort of a stick into my face.. I have no idea..." It had to be a powerful somebody if they could so easily best a gladiator.
Meanwhile the Satyr took another shot, his last one. He needed to remain decently sober to get something out of Flavio."Hey, we're pals here, right?" He laughed as he poured in another shot for Flavio."You can trust good ol' Willow. You see, I'm a helpful guy. Not many people like me, but that's their loss, really. If you let me in on this deal, I think I can be of some to you. Maybe I can be like a bodyguard, or be your personal best friend on your travels. Or even tell you you're pretty whilest I cradle you to sleep."

Arien snorted. "Right, outrun a golem. Except that by the time the guard realizes it's out of control, it's probably too late."
He started at the sight of a strange person and fumbled for his sword, but then Lisette ran down the alley and there was no way he was letting her down there alone.
He flinched at Lisette's scream and sighed when he heard Alsillia's voice. She was alive, thank God. Though she looked worse for the wear. "What happened?" He reached for his canteen before realizing he didn't have it with him. Drat, maybe they could get back to the inn or possibly Alsillia's home was closer to clean her up a bit.
"Were you able to see anyone? Particularly a stranger with a cane?"

Flavio had just downed his 12th shot, and only now did he start to display signs of true drunkenness. His world span around him while the gnoll tried to steady himself on the table. "N-n-nay ye slimy goat." THe gnoll responded clumsily. "Tis no long' need'd 'nyway! Ghehehehe." For no real reason at all the gnoll cackled, almost falling over as he did so, he pulled himself back to the table for another shot. "We're 'n, errr." The gnoll looked around him. "Humantown, ehehehehe. Our dest'nation, we'll be off 'gain soon."
Then his eyes returned to the satyr, mouth set in a wicked grin. "C..can I 'ave a taste o' yer 'orns, p-please. Those fings gro' ri'back right?"

Willow sighed as he smacked his hand onto the table before shoving his glass out of the way. Now he was feeling the alcohol's effects as well."Whoa... whoa, this place got dark, didn't it?" He shook his head."I think you've had enough, you're talking jibbererererish, baby eater. You just won't tell me 'cause you don't know it either, isn't it? You just smelled money and didn't care what the deal was!" he laughed. The sudden question made him smile disappear and a frown appear instead."Lick my horns? What? What do you think I am? Some sort of a shitty Faun? I'll let you lick my horn if I get to rip off your mustache and wear it as a lip warmer."
The gladiator elf stood up with some help of her friends, spitting out some blood that filled up her mouth."Like I said, I got smacked down. I saw a bunch of people in the alleyway not far from my house. As soon as I looked at them, one of them approached me and before I could do anything, I got smacked. He was amazingly fast." Lisette looked around, just in case someone was still around."What'd they look like? Did you see?" Alsiallia shrugged."One of them had something, could be a cane. Whatever it was, it knocked me out cold. What I saw was a man sitting down, looked pretty frail. The guy who hit me wore a coat, and a top hat. That's all I remember." Lyphi tapped Arien's shoulder, pointing back out on the road. It was empty now, but it was clear she was trying to tell him that the description matched the man they saw earlier.

Arien nodded at Lyphi when she indicated the road. He'd been thinking the same thing and frankly it still wasn't adding up.
"We saw someone just now," Arien told Alsillia as her two friends propped her up. "I'm going to go see if I can't catch up to him. Um, you two, Lyphi and Lisette, can you try to get Alsillia home? I'll follow as I can."
He was planning on trailing them and keep an eye out for the guy they'd run into later. With that settled, he headed back the way they had come; keeping the hilt of his sword pressed tightly against his side in case he needed it.
