DAY ONE
You are in New Hark city on New Year's Eve, as the ball drops people are counting down, five, four, three, two, one! The grand New Year's Eve ball explodes, but no confetti falls this year... A giant chemical bomb, light greenish yellow gas decends as people scream. A minute passes, and the streets slowly grow quiet down bellow, you are at a party in a high rise looking down in confusion waiting for something to happen. The screams are gone, you turn on the television and most of the cameras down on street view are static, but one shows a dropped camera and a new caster in a little short dress writhing in pain, black vains going up her neck as she shrieks out... Undead.

The entire city shrieks together as they swarm the surrounding buildings and begin making their way floor to floor, turning others as they make their way up buildings and outward from the epicenter of the chemical bomb, someone in your party begins to laugh, a doctor, maybe a father of one of your characters father, maybe the professor of your college days, but this was his party you were at and he speaks. "My Magnam Opus... Finally the field of Biology will be feared," The Doctor smiles at his guests. "The rate of decomposition, times the elemental exposure, I'd say we have ourselves about 240 days of the apocalypse."

The doctor pulls out a hand gun and puts it to his own head, laughing he pulls the trigger. People scream and run out of the condo, those who are left are you... And a hand gun, a kitchen knife, a flashlight, and five bullets. You will try to survive 240 days and you will try to not only avoid zombies, but collect survivors, and deal with problems that I throw your way.

This sounds very interesting. I know it is late, but is this still open? Lilah could be the crazed biologist's daughter, who knows some medical experience.

I specifically made this character for survival RPs. I think he'll fit nicely into this one .

I'm contemplating whether or not to use Alan's little sister Kirsten in this. She'd be nothing but useless innocence though. But maybe there could be some plot going on with her, such as she has the antibodies for the infection or something (Meaning her blood makes her immune to turning, just in case you didn't know. Also that would mean that her blood could be used to develop a cure or at least a temporary immunity or something along those lines). But this is just me throwing out ideas and trying to give her some purpose other than being a whiny ten-year-old.

No, there is no cure. It is vastly over done, better to be the cruel reality that you are all gonna die unless you can last the 240 days.

Sam here is my typical go-to girl for 'common high school girl caught up in Really Bad Things'. She takes everything in a stride and has a fierce determination to live. She's usually associated with the Fae and the 'Underground' in some way, but in things like these it's usually just mischievous pixies (or 'shadows') tripping her up at horrible moments and generally giving her a hard time, but I can leave all that out if you'd like.

So what do you think?

In survival situations, there's usually that one person who sometimes handles things and goes off on his own. That's basically Tanner.

Alan's basically the "straight-man", the stereotypical main character who is super nice to everyone but still takes charge in perilous situations. His kindness and compassion sometimes clashes with his survival instincts, but his ability to overcome every challenge thrown at him as well as his strive to keep everyone safe makes him a natural leader. He's kind of clumsy at times (mentally and physically), but still dependable when it counts.

@Sam- I'd prefer if you left that out but you can still be in it.

@Tanner- This is going to be a realistic representation of what a Z-Pocolypse would be, just know that if your going off on ur own your character will be killed most likely.... Grouping is the key to survival.

@Alan- I challenge you to play both Alan and his sister but with no special godmod power. He will have to not only struggle with himself but also not trustpeople in the effort to protect the last of his family. I will be interested to watch that.

Oh, I'm sorry, my intention wasn't to godmod Kirsten, I was just trying to give her some purpose because she has nothing going for her. She's ten years old, so she can't really do much when it comes to surviving in an apocalyptic environment. She'd be nothing but a whiny little girl, so I don't really see any purpose of putting her in. But I guess I'll accept your challenge because writing both Alan and Kirsten together is pretty fun. Plus, there could be some factor of her learning to survive on her own as the rp progresses.

But irl some of us don't have a purpose, we are wastes of skin who drag others down until we can rise to the occasion. I hold my challenge, play both. Just remember, people who don't stick together and play as a team are killed off by me.

I guess that's what you mean by "realistic representation of a Z-Pocalypse". But still, I didn't think you'd be so literal. I'm still not sure if using her is going to turn out very well, but I'll still give it a shot. Are we going to be starting soon?

I'm still in. Sam has basic hand to hand combat abilities and a little experience with a staff or baton, so hopefully she can make it 240 days.

Why do I get the sneaking suspicion someone's going to die? And why do I get the feeling it's going to be me?

I'm in. I hope Tanner can survive the 240 days. He's not that well in hand-to-hand, but knows how to use handguns. He's also pretty strong and fit.

Alan has as much combat experience as a regular high school goody-goody does: Next to none. And Kirsten is ten so she's had none either. I'm so going to die aren't I...?
