Hello, everyone. SummerRain here. I stumbled upon this site while Googling for roleplaying forums, and decided to give it a shot. That was...A good week ago, I'd say. Life was pretty hectic between then and now, but now it's calmed down, so I figured I'd introduce myself properly. ^^

Anyway!

My preferred genres are fantasy (low to mid), steampunk and historical. RPs involving action and adventure would definitely grab my attention. I typically write two paragraphs, minimally, but my post length heavily depends on what I have to work with. My first posts tend to be longer - I can hit almost ten paragraphs, if I have a lot to write about - so I apologize for that in advance.

I'm a pretty casual RPer, but I like doing research into topics pertinent to the RP. And worldbuilding. I just love worldbuilding in general; it's almost like a hobby of mine.

Anyway, that's about it from me, for now.

I don't listen to Nightvale, I'm afraid, so any reference would be accidental and coincidental.

Hmm...I think I searched "forum roleplaying site"? Or was it "roleplaying site"? Either way, RPR was within the first three pages, that much I remember. I don't usually go beyond page 4 or 5 when Googling. Not unless I was really desperate.

And thanks for the kind words, but I don't think it's all that amazing. I just have a lot to write in my first posts, to flesh out the character and the like. And if I have free reign to craft the immediate world around them, then oh man, I can go on forever.

As for character archetypes...Well, I used to do anti-heroes a lot, so I think I can pull them off reasonably well. Right now, though, I prefer to play characters who can be defined by one word, or phrase. A flat character, essentially, but from there, I like to just build up on that. Like, delve deeper into what makes them what they are and so on. I hope that makes sense.

Steampunk, fantasy and historical (and a mix of them) roleplays are a blast, even if you don't see many historical ones.
World building is also a blast! You'll find that most people here love it.

I'd recommend checking out the official chat, too - a bunch of us usually hang out there.

Same honestly, I've run into the problem that instead of actually deciding on a plot for one of my new stories I just keep fleshing out the world it plays in instead cause it's so much fun haha
