Hello!
I'm new here, thus the whole introductory. I've been looking for a friendly RP community that is still active and enables you to make your own character profiles so of course I stumbled on RP Repository - and I think I'll be here to stay. Hurrah! Anyway, on the whole topic title - I'd like to explain the origins of when I first started to RP, just so y'all may understand where I'm coming from.
I will be honest when I say that I've never been in a fully-completed RP (I believe the longest streak of posts I've ever done was around 30, so, there's that, but each was about 5-10+ paras) and the sites that I've RPed on usually fell to inactivity. One of the big ones that is still more or less active is PocketWriters, which some of you may have heard of. Either way, most users weren't all that keen on long-term RPs, so I left in search of better grounds. So here I am. Throw the confetti.
Interests:
I love reading and writing (duh) and so far one of my book faves is a series known as Red Rising (if you have read them i will love you forever bc i dont know anyone who reads them yet hnnnggh). When I grow up, I have dreams of becoming a concept artist and/or working on my own YA novels. I'm fond of history, including WW2 and the vehicles used (tanks, planes, etc.).
As for RPs, I love Fantasy/Sci-fi/Dystopian/Steampunk plots. All the plots! Worldbuilding, huzzah!
Some RP samples that I've typed in that one unfinished story I mentioned earlier above can be found here./url]
And that's pretty much it! I'm looking forwards to making friends and getting into the groove of RPing again. Thank you for reading.

Welcome to RPR! I hope you're enjoying the site so far! Everyone here is super friendly, and while there are those that don't do long term plots--there are plenty of us around here that do! There are tons of people here with different styles so I am sure you'll find some awesome new RP partners soon If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask--we love helping out our new members
Get comfy, look around, ask questions. Idiot savants are always welcome. *Throws requested confetti; adds glitter as a poetic sentiment of being careful what you wish for.*
Remember to have fun! And great artwork you've got there. Keep it up.
A few notes I'd like to have known when starting out here? You can pm more than one person at a time if you use "Add Recipients" in your inbox. There's an "Edit" button in forum posting, but not in messaging, so mind that. And lastly, if you make an rp and you've found your chosen partner(s), never hurts to put a (Closed) or some such in the title and/or request.
Best of luck, mate. Peace.

Thank you for the replies! I'm learning things already.

Hi there, and welcome to RP Repository! I am glad you have decided to join us! ^.^
Well hi there, Lupus. What a curious name! Welcome to RPR. I'm Lucree, but call me Light! It's really sweet to meet you~
Welcome to rpr c:
Hi and welcome to RPR! I'm sure you'll find the kind of RPRs you're into here, there's so many!
Howdy! Welcome to RPR.
I wouldn't worry too much about not having ever finished a roleplay. Not many do! (I'm sure I haven't. )
To follow up on G, here are some other tips for the general use of the site! The Find RP widget is pretty shnazzy if you're looking for roleplayers who've been active a short while ago, and The Help Forum is pretty useful if you need any, uh, help. You can also turn any thread or PM conversation into a faster moving chat by clicking the launch chat button.
Don't be afraid of asking any of us if you have any questions, though! Or of passing by the official chat, where Kim (the admin) also hosts her Office Hours.

Hey, Lupus. I'm Hibari and welcome to RPR. It's very nice to meet you. And cool dream. Surely, it will come true! But anyway, I do hope we can become good friends and we'll be able to RP sometime. Enjoy your stay!
