"The doors are opened. The locks are sealed. Darkness is at the ready."
Following the great battle between Sora and Ansem The Seeker Of Darkness the keyhole to Kingdom Hearts was resealed by the keyblade wielding youth. The darkness was sealed away and the power of the Heartless pushed back and away from worlds. Worlds thought consumed where released as it would seem peace was returned at last. However the aftermath would prove very much otherwise. Darkness cannot simply be destroyed by sealing a few keyholes. At best that will slow it. In truth darkness is as eternal as all things. If not longer. The Heartless are not so easily defeated. Though though being dealt a hefty blow with both Ansem and Maleficent's council destroyed they were sent scurrying. However Sora hadn't been to nearly every world. He'd been to but a tiny fraction. Many other worlds existed and while Sora and his friends where occupied another darkness descends on these unfortunate worlds. Continuing to consume and feed the ravenous hunger of the darkness.
"The splintered worlds have been devoured. Sleeping while they remain in the bowels of shadow." Deep inside a shadow filled void a deep voice echoes. Two deep golden eyes gaze over to a blackened vortex which begins to emanate a dark light. "Some splinters have found their way to the game." The voice echoes showing no real form. The vortex begins to form a picture. Waves and sand on a shoreline. Sun softly beating down on the side of what looks to be an old wooden port. People walking about minding their own business while barrels and crates spew across the area. A faint hand moves over the vortex, barely visible in the ink black void. "Worlds where deals where made. Fortunate." The voice says once more. "Two souls. Neither true. But both needed." The shadows begin to move and the deep eyes examine the vortex like portal.
Seagulls fly by and the sounds of waves crash against the mighty shoreline of the great port. A port town populated by many people mostly with dirty and dark skin. Tanned like leather from the brutal sun of the Caribbean. The sun was mid way indicating mid day. The town went on for some time and showed a great deal of populace and filthy. Something which added to the charm. A man walks out of the bar slightly wobbly on his feet and followed by some others.
"You my gentlemen have a lot to regret this day after meeting captain." But before he could finish his statement the man who smelt strongly of whisky fell over the pier and onto a passing by row boat startling the occupants. "Afternoon gents." He says tipping his hat as they move up the coast. The other men head back in side looking a bit confused.

Darkness.
That's the first and most continuous thing seen. It felt void and never ending.
Walking.
It felt like it, or perhaps it was more like stumbling. Feeling the surroundings for anything.
Then there was a light.
It shone and shined like far off city lights that had once been known. Still cold and very pale. But a stark difference from the Darkness.
A young man walks out of a cave on the side of a cliff in the midst of a tropical island's jungle. This place is unfamiliar. Down below is a small settlement, rife with noise as odious as it's smell. The place reeks of filth, a different kind of darkness.
The man makes his way down the cliff, seemingly empty handed as he leaps down from boulder to boulder with an uncanny agility. It'll be some time until he can make his way down to the noise of sound, flame and smell.

She didn't know how she got here nor who she is or where she came from. The most she can remember is a white room and whispering voices. It's as if she had come from an endless black void of nothing and yet it was everything she had known. At this time she finds herself floating in what seems an endless sea. Above her the endless blue sky with its sun being the blinding center. Did she have a name? Did she have a story?, sometimes she wondered these things but now was not the best time to dwell on things that may not exist. And yet she found herself unmoved... Her deep violet eyes staring into the never end blue expanse that is the heavens. Her titanium blond hair swayed and moved with the ocean currents. She found herself content to lay in the warm waters of this foreign world she had decided to deem her own. After all, all she had was her torn white dress and undergarments which she currently wore and a strange leather bound book that did not seem to be affected by the changing tides. She then let's the breeze carry her away to unconcious bliss as she enjoys her new found home. It was truly a place to die happy.

When she awoke she found herself in a curios pink gown and clutching her book to her chest, she now lays upon a strange bed that has golden colored silk sheets on it. And plush pillows that felt as if the softest feathers imaginable.
" do you like them?" Asks a voice from not far by. She quickly wips her head to the side to see that approachin the bed in an elegant yellow gown is a woman with blond hair in a high bun with a few loose curly strands framing her face She could only describe the woman as beautiful.
" y-yes" she states with a stutter before looking directly into the woman's eyes. This causes the woman to laugh heartily and state " your quite the jester" this causes the girl to let a small smile grace her face as the woman approached her with a wet rag and applied it to her head.

...
After an akward silence the woman before her decided to break it. " I'm Elizabeth by the way" she says with a smile on her face before she continues. " and what might yours be miss ?" This causes the girl to think hard on what her name is. Did she have a name?
.......

.......
After a small bit of consideration she had decide that if she didn't have a name she'd give herself one. And she's decided on one...it was a word she often thought she'd heard back in the endless white room in her memories...."Fate...my name is Fate". She watches as the smile of the woman across from her increased in size before she replied with gusto" well miss Fate welcome to port Royal". And with that she pulled back the curtains on the nearby window to reveal the gorgeous coast of the island.

The young man emerged from a cave several kilometers from the port. The jungle was thick but housed no way of blocking the smell of the supposed civilization couldn't be masked by even the jungle. Vines and trees littered the area forming shadows all over the ground. Beams of sunlight come out and the humid warmth was a welcome change form the darkness of the cave. Not cold yet still disturbing. No matter how fast you walked it always felt like someone was watching. The shadows on the ground seemed to move or maybe that was simply an illusion by the brushing leaves in the sea breeze. However the thing about darkness is no matter how far you run, no matter how fast you dodge, it'll always find you.
Deep into the void the same dark presence watched over the young ones emergence from the cave. The vortex it gazed into had numerous other smaller sets of glowing eyes emerge and gaze into it. "The heart of salvation." It says echoing out into the void. "Go my children. Spread our darkness within this world we have such a grip in." The numerous glowing eyes move into the vortex. Dozens moving in and back in the jungle the tiny stares open in the shadows of the jungle. Tiny, sharp fingers emerge as the small almost ant like humanoid forms emerge from the ground. Small. Each one only about three and a half feet. They jitter and twitch as they sneak up on the young man.
Slowly gathering around the sinister sensation of the Heartless begins to emanate. Birds chirp and fly off and all amount of smaller creatures nearby flee. Animal instinct allowing them to feel something wrong. As the small shadows move closer to the young and mysterious man they silently move through the ground as living shadows, approaching and ready to leap out like animals on the hunt. Meanwhile several which are exposed and out in full form go to move as one steps on a twig. The faint snap behind the man the last thing before they leap forward to strike. five leaping at him completely from behind in a curved formation.

Nikolus was leisurely taking his time in getting to the town as he reached the tropical forest below. This World was a strange one to him, so much natural growth that didn't require any maintenance like his World required. But he wouldn't be able to ruminate on these thoughts for too long as he felt the hairs on the back of his neck bristle up in reaction to nearby Heartless he could sense.
Deciding not to stick to one place too long and not wanting any to follow him into town by accident, Nikolus would take a longer and more round about way in getting there - all the while keeping his guard up. As the birds took to flight his Keyblades instinctively manifested in his hands, just in time for him to expertly create a momentary Barrier around himself to fend off the initial Heartless attack. Time seemed to slow momentarily as a quick and practiced repositioning of his stance and weapon placement was made before the Barrier began to fall and the few attacking Heartless fell to the ground around where the Barrier had been only a fraction of a second prior.
"Nice try. My turn now." Was all he said as he stabbed one Keyblade into the ground and leveled the other just ahead of him parallel with his sharp eyes. A sudden well of Zero Gravity engaged around him, violently lifting all the nearby Shadows into the air, including the flattened ones against the ground itself - all had become weightless for an instant. In the blink of an eye the tip of his other Keyblade became illuminated with magic as an orb of Magnet energy began to rapidly spin and pull in all the helpless nearby Heartless caught in the Zero Gravity field.
Pulling himself away momentarily, Nikolus pressed himself against a thick tree trunk and Flowmotioned himself from tree to tree, ascending until he was directly above the spiraling Heartless and Jumped down upon them without mercy and stabbing through all of them at one time. All the Heartless caught by his magic instantly evaporated into dark mist that burned away in the sunlight of day.
Nikolus pulled his other keyblade out of the ground and turned with an intense glare of controlled malice around himself to find any remaining Heartless and repeat his cleansing process until the area had been purified. His blue eyes glowing fiercely as the shadows from the trees above danced over him.

Fate and Elizabeth after a few minutes of talking seemed more like sisters than anything the way they talked. After their akward introduction Elizabeth had given fate a small gown of hers when she was younger and has braided her long hair into a small French braid that she decided looked better over her shoulder. After teaching her the behavior that needed to be used when walking about town.she adorned the girl with a big floppy hat with a tight pink ribbon around its center and a white fan with floral print. The girls quickly made their way to the balcony over looking the sea where a giant bell seemed to hang in an arch nearby. Fate clutched her book close to her side as it was the only thing giving her comfort besides Elizabeth herself. She honestly felt like she was being watched but for some reason could not bring herself to have fear. She finds herself looking into the sky almost as if waiting for some sort of entity to strike her down but shrugs it off when Elizabeth offers food. This prompts her to ask a question
"What's food?" This nearly makes Elizabeth's jaw drop as she begins explaining the suprisingly complicated subject of food. Later on they would move on to topics like Elizabeth's crush on the local blacksmith.

The use of a keyblade acted like a beacon to all Heartless in the world. A pulsing icon truly marking Nikolus and confirming the hordes of darkness would pursue without rest. From the shadows above several other sets of beady eyes form before shadows leap down. These were rather easy to deal with but what would follow would prove more of an issue. Dark mist rose from the ground before three large and mighty Neohadows leapt up. Neoshadows where stronger and more intimidating then their usual shadow counterparts. They looked much more humanoid but with longer limbs and antennae. Their bodies showed lines on them resembling blue veins giving them an even more disturbing look. They leap forward and slash at the keyblade wielder certainly to not be as vulnerable as regular shadows.
Out at sea aboard an urchin and coral covered ship the sounds of an organ played through the wet corridors. The ship looked as though it had sank and somehow reemerged from the ocean depths. Numerous large humanoids dotted the deck but something was odd. They all had what looked like mutations. Each one had at least part of their body resembling a sea creature. Some with gills and tentacles, others claws or shark heads. A very varied amount of variety of this strange crew. Meanwhile the source of the organ was in the captains quarters. In the damp room an individual sat with one arm being that of a crab pincer and the other having some fingers merged into a slimy tentacle. The man wasn't playing with either of these limbs though. Instead using the numerous tentacles on his head. As the man played the dark mist formed behind him and the same glowing eyes which had been watching them appeared in the darkened corner.
"Jones." The deep voice echoes.
"What is it that I owe the pleasure?" The man known as Davy Jones says in response.
"You've felt it haven't you? The pulse of a keyblade being wielded." The voice says. "You remember our deal. I helped give you the power to control the seas. You can pay your debt by dealing with it. The keyblade wielder must be tested. But there's another. An empty vessel which is required." It explains. Jones raises a brow.
"You seem concerned. Does this being scare you?"He asks. Moving out from the shadow filled corner along the ground are sharp almost blade like shadows which move up and one flies up cutting off the tip of one of Jones tentacles. The half an inch flails before dying but Jones quickly regenerates with only a wince.
"Remember Jones. You're in my debt. I know you're a noble man. So fulfill your end and I'll be sure to secure your heart. You can have this whole world for you and your desires." The voice says as it fades and the eyes disappear. Jones looked at his wounded tentacle and called out.
"Set sail for Port Royal. Stay out of sight. We have a job." He shouts.
"Yes Captain!" A voice replies as the ship proceeds to bounce on the waves before diving deep into the blue tide.

Nikolus spied the Heartless forming above him and dispatched them as rapidly as they formed. Once the smaller ones had been quelled he would turn his attention to the still forming Neoshadows - he would greet them with his Keyblade, Dizzy Shadow.
He cast Zero-Gravira at the crest of their arching leap towards him, they froze in mid-air and began to float lazily as they thrashed about wildly in attempt to escape. Nikolus knew these kinds of Heartless all too well, they were more cunning but still very predictable.
Nikolus cast Magnera directly in the middle of them causing all three to come crashing together violently around the orb of magnetic energy. Nikolus then dashed forward before double jumping above them before casting Transcendence above his head.
Eight walls of shimmering purple energy shot up from the ground and momentarily released the Neoshadows from the effects of the Magnet spell, but this was short lived as they were slammed mercilessly all around the confines of the cage they were trapped in.
One by one they would fall, each evaporating away into the sunlight.
Nikolus fished for an Ether in his pocket before downing it like a shot in one rapid motion, he felt his mind clear and sharpen again. He shook away the last of the magical fog from his mind and popped his neck, "Next." Nikolus said aloud to any Heartless that sought to fight with him. He had done nothing but run while in the Realm of Darkness, he was through with that and would take a stand here and now.

Fate felt off as she and Elizabeth walked through town. It's as if a dark presence hung in the air like a heavy fog and it was making it rather hard to breath. To take her mind off of this dark force she instead turned to another point of interest, this bring the peculiar piece of jewelry around Elizabeth's neck. It resembled an odd golden coin with a skull in the middle. When she asks about this Elizabeth simply replies " it's a long and very complicated story if prefer not to speak of". Of course this prompts Elizabeth to ask her own questions "what's that book tour holding".
Faith looks down at the leather bound book in her hands. On its cover a golden key has been etched into it along with 7 hearts on the sides of it. Honestly even fate herself questions this. When did she get this book?, and how did she get it?. Becoming frustrated at the pounding in her head over thinking about it too much she simply replies " I don't know" the causes Elizabeth to shrug and change the subject. Eventually they find themselves in a market down by the docs.

Nikolus had destroyed the Heartless assaulting him and the dark figures began to grow out of the darkness faster and in greater numbers. They began to form up like a massive wave. The shadows began running towards him and neoshadows were mixed in for good measure. Nikolus may have been a skilled fighter but he wouldn't be able to hold up forever. But he was close to town. A good five hundred meter sprint and he would be there. The choice was his. Run and hopefully escape the tide or fight and lose due to exhaustion.
The markets were filled with hundreds of people. Stalls selling small items and fish littered the area. The jungle was nearby in fact just up the other side of the market. Large pots sat around ready to be picked up by ships and numerous soldiers waited at the port near a large ship. The ship was filled with similar soldiers and had a large blue, white and red flag flapping in the wind. Some of the pots nearby however moved slightly and the lid of some slightly raised as two beady eyes stare back to Fate before hiding back down and not being noticed.

Nikolus recognized this type of attack, something was fueling these Heartless besides ordinary negative emotions. Nikolus didn't have much time to try and figure out what the source of their increased power was as the wave of Heartless rushed in towards him. Using his wits Nikolus cast a Barrier out in front of him to take on the brunt of the wave.
As the Heartless would smash up against the Barrier Nikolus would shroud himself with Vanish to disappear completely, even masking his Keyblades from detection. The Barrier began to crack and change color as it took more and more damage, Nikolus knew it was time to get out of dodge. Dashing away from the Heartless and towards the town he narrowly escaped the massive explosion of his Barrier failing and shattering.
The Heartless nearest the Barrier would instantly be destroyed, while many others surrounding it would be flung outwards and scattered away from the center of the blast. Nikolus dismissed his Keyblades away before entering town, he snuck unseen into an empty alleyway just before his invisibility fell away. Nikolus turned off his clothing's circuitry lighting to better blend in with the crowds of the town. He needed time to think up of a new strategy for getting rid of these Heartless and finding ones responsible for drawing in so many to this World.

Fate and Elizabeth in their elegent gowns walked amongst the stalls and peered at the items in stock as they negotiated prices and talked about current events. Fate was determined to know as much about her new home as possible all the while still having that creeping feeling that she was being watched.
To help her Elizabeth had asked her to come visit the local blacksmiths apprentice with her and watch him do his work. She noticed Elizabeth's blush as she said this but chose to ignore it in favor of glaring at the strange set of glowing eyes she'd spotted staring at her from a closed stall not far by. Things got much worse later when she was forced to walk by an alleyway where she found a strange looking man peering at her book that sat within her new bag, barely visible. She shrugged all this off as it oddly didn't seem to terrifie her but more over she felt indifferent to everything. Her complete and total apathy last until they reach the blacksmiths shop where upon Elizabeth asks the apprentice to make her a sword as a birthday present for her father. He seemed all to happy to do it as he soon rips off his shirt due to the heat from the forge all the while having Elizabeth trying not to stare at his bare back and Fate yet again feeling...indifferent.

The Heartless horde stopped at the edge of town and faded back into the shadows. Not wanting to merge in for some reason. The townsfolk continued going about their usual days and the salty smell of the sea covered the whole town. The Heartless remained in a hidden state in town not acting and very much tame. Evidence of a strong control in the area. The Heartless let people move on by shadows and ambush sights only occasionally revealing their eyes for a moment to spy on potential prey. The massive British ship in the harbor began to load up as it prepared to leave back to sea.
Meanwhile deep under the seas depths Davy Jones and his crew moved through the waters like a massive beast. With incredible speed they approached soon being a mere few minutes from the port. Once they got a few kilometers out they stopped under the orders of their captain.
"Captain do we surface or lay in ambush?" A hammer headed pirate asks.
"Hold here. We have a job to do and this will work." Jones says putting his hand on a small chest. Jones closes his eyes and listens to the thump within. The shadowy figure appears in the corner. Deep golden eyes glaring to Jones.
"Are you aware what I will ask?" The dark voice says. Jones nods.
"Tell me anyway." He says almost sadly.
"The British ship. Use the power I gave you and crush it. Make sure they see. The Heartless can feast on their hearts and this will attract the wielder." The eyes then fade.
"Remain discrete." Jones smirks as behind him several Heartless form. These ones looked different. They where not pure like the shadows. These ones resembled six tentacled squids with pointed heads. Another type looked similar to his crew. They had webbed feet and shark like bodies but each with the ability to stand bipedal. They all had wide tooth filled mouths and wielded cutlasses. The squid ones had the Heartless emblem on their heads and the sharks on their chests. Once they formed they began swimming out of the ship and ready to ambush the poor ship slowly coming out of port.

Nikolus could still feel the Heartless around him but it seemed that for now he had given them the slip, or maybe they were preoccupied with something else... Nikolus made his way out of the alley and out into the streets.
He would pass by many people, most of which either didn't seem to notice anything about him as out of the ordinary or were simply too busy with their own problems to care much. As he continued to wander along he would passby a couple of women outside of a blacksmith's forge watching an apprentice work over the metal bare chested, an excellent way to rapidly tan one's self and possibly induce heat exhaustion from a lack of safety gear. Passing this place by with little more than a sideways glance and a roll of the eyes Nikolus had other things to focus on.
He made his way about town in search of something, anything, that would give him a clue as to where all the Heartless were coming from and who had a strong enough will to control them.

After a few minuets fate and Elizabeth finally left the blacksmiths and made their way across town once more. For some reason fate had found that man from earlier rather rude the way he dismissed her as if she was a criminal but sadly her face didn't show it.
The two women kept walking until Fate began to notice more strange glowing eyes coming from the darkness...but suddenly as she began to pick up a dagger she soon found herself pulling men of a ship in the harbor that seemed to be loading goods onto it and pulling them back onto the docks telling them to wait a moment for her reasoning. She didn't know why but she had acted on this impulse erge because she felt she had saved the lives of these men. Afterwards when Elizabeth asked her why she did this she simply told her to wait.

The men were mostly aboard and the last few were about to board as Fate came up with her warning. A British soldier looked back to her. "Stay back child. We're not interested in your paranoias." The man says. "Now run along." He says as the remainder board and the planks are pulled up. As the boat begins to pull out the men comment on Fate. "Strange. You would think someone so well dressed wouldn't be so crazy." Another snickers. "Children fear the sea it seems." Another shrugs. The massive ship pulled out onto open waters and the crashing of waves came up the side as in a mere two minutes the ship was almost two kilometers out to sea. As it got further out the reality was soon to hit them. They truly should have listened to the girl. The Heartless waited till the ship was far enough out and the moment it came into range they struck.
Soldiers where below deck, up top and all over as they rested and looked over the ocean. Once the Heartless moved the peace of the trip was quickly shattered. One soldier on the top deck saw several dark figures moving below the water. Looking over curiously he was shocked as a dark squid like creature leaped up and tackled him. His muffled cries echoed over the boat. Men looked over as dozens more leaped up onto the deck. Raising there guns the soldiers shot. The rounds having little effect on the Heartless.
"Captain where under attack!" One yells before one of the squids coils around his neck and pulls him over board. Below deck in a coordinated move numerous of the shark soldiers burst in just above the water level. Men who laid back relaxing where ambushed and slashed at. One grabbed his gun and shot. As a dark and golden eyed pirate leaped him the bullet hit its head causing it to dissolve. He fell back but then noticed the dozens more pouring in. Up top the captain gazed in horror as his men where thrown around by these creatures. Shark pirates crawled up the sides and with swords in hand officers tried to repel them.
"What are they?!" The captain yells as he slashes one of the squids over the head and causing it to dissolve. The ships deck began to be coated in a dark mist as Heartless Shadows emerged and slashed as well. back on shore numerous people where looking over as the fighting. The boats deck was still visible slightly from the naked eye and the growing darkness on it drew the attention of many. Back on the ship below deck numerous soldiers where held up in a store room. But when the shadows began forming they took out there guns and one shot. However before one could yell it was done.
"Stop!" One screams as the shot goes off and missing the shadow strikes some gun powder. The resulting explosion blasts the ships rear open and it begins to take water and fall prey to the depths of the ocean. Some men manage to get out to the boats but the shark like Heartless tackles the boats. Either flipping them or grabbing men out. Screams and black smoke fly up showing the devastation. With the attack mostly complete the Heartless pull out. Shadows fading and the others diving and swimming off. The soldiers hearts where taken for the purpose of making more Heartless and the remaining men where left to their watery grave as the ship began to descend into the depths.

Nikolus watches from shore as the Heartless begin and carry out their mission. Unable to simply watch and idly hope for the best he throws caution to the wind once more and summons his Keyblades. He tosses them high into the air, a brilliant flash of silvery and electric blue lights erupt before a hovering Keyblade Glider zooms down in front of Nikolus.
Quickly hopping on the Glider Nikolus makes his way as quickly as possible to the distressed men, but is sadly too late to save any of them as the last man is pulled under just as he reaches out for Nikolus's help. Angered Nikolus revs his Glider and soars into the air above the waters where the boat sinks and unleashes a hailstorm of Gravity and Magnet spells into the water to pull in and destroy as many Heartless as he can even though the act may be futile.
Nikolus yells all the while in frustration and pain over the major blow the Heartless have caused, never once releasing his grip on the triggers.

Fate sat there at the doc with Elizabeth and sighed. Quite suddenly she began to twitch as she stares out at the sinking boat and highly desperate man. She begins to mutter words under her breath such as " j-jones....plan...heart..organ............melstrum....lies" afterwards she looks up at the strange flying man And whispers
" darkness" before she finally comes out of her daze with a shake of her head.
" what...just happened fate?" Elizabeth asks her worriedly to which her blank emotionless look returns and she replies.
" I do not know Elizabeth"

The combination of spells had little effect. The depths the Heartless reached and sheer amount of water rendered such abilities useless. By this point it was as futile as slashing the sea. The large wreck of the ship slowly sunk into the watery depths but a faint cry could be heard.
"Help me." A voice called from the top end. Below deck near the front of the ship a British soldier was caught under some wood and his leg broken. He cried out for help as water quickly rose up to him. Meanwhile the hidden Davy Jones watches his work. He had done his job. Got the attention of the keyblade wielder. Now to see how he would go with the rest of the aftermath.
Back on shore several people looked over and gasped in awe as water seemed to be pulled up and flying for brief periods. Unknown to them from the gravity spell.
"Witchcraft!" One man yells and runs indoors. Everyone was on edge after such an event and looking over to see a figure of some kind flying made some panic more. The Heartless in town festered and remained hidden. Ready to strike if need be but waiting for now like humble assassins.

Nikolus holds fire as he barely hears something from the wreckage down below. Upon recognizing the sounds of someone in distress he leaps off of his Glider and swan dives deep into the water to get a better view of where the distressed swimmer is in all the flotsam. Once spotted Nikolus casts Renewal Barrier without the assistance of his Keyblade around the injured soldier - effectively clearing the wreckage around him and performing some minor healing to his wounded leg. Nikolus swims up to the man and leads him to the water where a mostly clear path out of the broken ship is.
"Trust me and hold your breath." Nikolus says as he holds his hand out towards the sky as he summons his Glider to him, he slowly moves his hand towards the water for the craft to follow. A moment later the Gliders surfaces nearby, Nikolus all but hauls the injured man over his shoulder as they climb aboard the Glider. A quick dive, submersed travel and surfacing later the man is back to shore away from the shouting people. "Get yourself treated Soldier. I have more wreckage to search." Nikolus says sternly before he glides upwards and Vanishes without a trace into the sky.
Nikolus soars higher than before and spots something not too far off in the distance. A large dark mass just below the ocean's surface... Nikolus can feel a darkness in that direction, he moves in closer to inspect.
