sounds like the perfect guy for the part! so your character will play the eyes of the weapon and will be able to open portals and see the structures (This is invisible to everyone else!) also is your character going to be the love interest for mine?

hey that's up to you but I read a book once and quite liked the idea of portal structures being floating panels of different colours in the air! Your character could manipulate these panels and the reason the are acting oddly is perhaps because they are pulsating? or you can do whatever you want with it! make up your own interpretation?
