Ok, so with the update a lot of folks aren't sure how to access their characters they've put on another email address. So here's how to log-in those characters that aren't listed on your account.
What you're gonna do to access the characters in your folder on another email is this:
Load up furcadia.
See that back button in the upper left corner of your dashboard? Click that!
This will take you back to the log-in page.
Beneath the log in button you'll see 'login with ini'
Click that!
You'll get the old furcadia load screen with all your character INIs listed.
You should be able to load them as normal.

Yup, exactly! And from there, you can use the setemail command (just say "setemail [email address]" without quotes, and click the confirmation link that arrives in your inbox) to consolidate characters in accounts, if you've been using throwaway e-mail addresses. If you don't have characters showing up on your account that should be, try using the Import Characters tool.
You can have multiple accounts, but it may be worth it to ensure that you have your characters on as few accounts as possible for future updates, since you won't always be able to shuffle your characters around freely. Now's the time to get that kind of thing done.
Keep in mind that if your characters have as little as an empty portrait space on them (or any other Digo item/dragonscales worth at least 10USD), they won't count towards the limit of characters available on your account, as well.[/email]

This just proved hugely helpful for me today.
i'm going to add to this with the solution to a related issue i experienced recently:
for alt traders (or people wanting to generate .ini files from alts made via the browser system), you can use the Change Lost Password page to create a password for those alts, then retrieve the .ini as normal here.
you can also just set the alt's email to the other person's but there's risk of typos and trust issues there.
