Vicktor Buckley, of German and Irish decent during the times of the Visigoths and Celtic warriors, this one child was passed from family and family, never knowing a real gypsy while being one in his own right. Vick wasn't known to have family, friends, or even a person who he can speak to without feeling hatred. Vicktor liked it this way, he had not a love interest, not a hobby, not a traditional working role in society. Vick was ready to live through this life and make his buck as fast as he could.

While Vick never knew his real mother, father, brothers, sister, or any other relative for that matter, he always maintained an understanding with a pack of wolves that surrounded the town of Nemesia, a small island far south of Ireland. The wolves taught him a few things, never trust anyone, never give in, and never be the one with your back turned. Though the wolves travelled in a pack, a concept that made no sense to Vick, he would challenge this idea to say that, "Life is without joy, life is without reason, life doesn't matter to anyone around you, you die alone, just as you were born." The man now was very intelligent, scamming those who would challenge him, this also meant that over time he would learn to fight. He was damn good at it too. His stature was unlike those he was used to, many of the men he dealt with were half his height, but they maintained a good width at the shoulders. He was slim and ready.


Vick had woken up to the sound of a splash, having a tree-house that sat over the edge of the island's largest lake, this was a common occurrence, but the lake was serene and easily used for food and of course water. He would rise and climb down the ladder into the water and begin his morning bath, this was his routine, it was never missed.

Aurelia was just waking up this morning herself. After being separated from her family, she had wandered for a bit, using her knowledge of herbs to make medicines for people until she had enough money to buy herself a small cart and horse, a pretty red roan mare she had taken to calling Isabella.

This morning she had parked her cart in the forest just outside of a small village across the water from Vick's island. She had been working as the local healer woman for the town for awhile now, perhaps word had reached him of her, if he'd gone to town for anything.

Currently Aurelia was sitting on the steps to her cart while some water heated for her morning tea. She was eating some bread and cheese, while Isabella grazed on some grass nearby. She figured she should be moving on soon, but there was a young girl in town that was due to give birth any day now, and Aurelia had promised her she would be there when the time came.

Vick would finish his bath and get dressed. "That water is always so cold." he would say in jest remember the first time he fell in. Vick would gather his day gear and begin his travels into town. Vick had run out of bread and meat the night before. He would consider eating from the pond in which he bathed, but at the same time he wanted to preserve the population for a later date when money could be potentially tight.

Vick would walk into town realizing that he was just in time to see the shops open. This was as good a time as any to set up his booth. The booth in which he would show off his wares, the wares he'd come across in his travels. As well Vick had a card show that he would do for the town's children. Vick was very skilled with his hands, likely his lineage would lend to his natural abilities. Vick also would perform feats of skill, such as throwing a knife through a card in the air. Vick was well known through the town, but he had no real ties, he would move on in a few months when Winter would hit.

Aurelia finished her breakfast of tea, cheese and bread and got up to dust off her skirts. "Isabella you be good while I'm out, you hear?" She's heading back into her vardo to grab a shawl and her bag of herbs, along with a basket. She had some shopping she needed to do, some basic stuff like more bread and maybe a couple of eggs if anybody had them for sale.

It didn't take her long to reach the town, and she'd smile and greet some people by name. Some folks around here didn't much care for her, but others didn't seem to mind her company at all. It was around then that she spotted Vick, and she would smile and wave. She didn't know much about him, other than the fact that he was fairly new to town himself. There was no reason to not be polite though, and she'd head in his direction, "Good Morning. Have you been by the bakery yet today?" She's just making small talk, like she did with almost everybody that she ran into. She'd learned a long time ago while traveling with her family that it was easier to make friends early on than it was to make people like you later.

"I haven't, but I'd planned on it later, Mrs. Barnes typically gives me a discount for the older bread, but don't tell her I said that!" he would laugh as he spoke to her. "How is your day going?" he'd seen the woman before, but he wasn't sure of her name... he would introduce himself properly, "Where are my manners? My name is Vick, Vick Buckley... and you are?"

Aurelia laughed, "Of course I won't. I prefer the fresh bread anyway." She'd push her hair back over her shoulder, "Going pretty well. I'm about to make some rounds and check on a few patients. You don't have any aches or pains that need tending to do you?" For a price of course, but she would assume that he knew that.

He introduces himself, "Aurelia." A faint hint of her natural accent came through on her name, though it soon faded away, "I'm pretty new around here myself. I heard you were as well?" She might as well keep up with some small talk, none of the shops were quite open yet.

Vick would give her a smirk, "I'm fine never really have to worry about pain." He would pull out his cards and begin flipping them around to occupy his hands... "That's a great name, I'm not familiar with it's origin, where are you from originally?"

Vick would begin to set his table up a little more, while still holding a conversation, there were no crowds yet, this person might his early buck. "You work in traditional medicine or herbalism?"

Aurelia seemed surprised, "You must be a very lucky man then." She didn't know of anyone else that didn't suffer from pains now and then. As for where she was originally from, "My family hails from Romania. They...found me and raised me." So she didn't know where her name came from, but the accent was Romanian. She'd shrug, she tried not to think of her family these days. At first she'd hoped that if she was quick enough she might catch up to them, but those days were long gone.

"You'd be amazed at what you can do by knowing which herbs are good for what." She'd give him a little smile, "I suppose I should leave you to your work. I wouldn't want to take away from your days business! My cart is just outside of town if you ever change your mind on needing some medicine." She probably shouldn't have told a man she'd just met where her home was, but she was fairly confident she could take care of herself if he tried something. Not to mention, Isabella made a better guard dog than most dogs!

"Medicine is a great science, but at the same time there are more things in this world that can heal the body...", he never actually liked medicine, he liked to find alternatives to medicine, he had busted his head open a few times juggling, it was a common problem for someone like himself, not to mention all the fighting he did growing up. "Maybe I'll come take a look at your wares, maybe I won't, but if I don't it's not because you weren't delightful by any means...", he'd give her a wink. "Maybe you'll come back for the show today?", he'd think for a moment, "It could entice me to come by later." he'd smile with a another wink.

Aurelia wasn't really into medicines either, but more herb lore. That wasn't really the point though. She would smile back at him, "Show?" She didn't really know what he did around here, just that he was new. "I'll be more than happy to stop by if I don't have any patients to tend. You don't have to bribe me." She'd flick some of her long hair over her shoulder, "Where is your show at?" She wasn't in any great rush right now, so it wouldn't hurt to spend a few minutes talking to him.

"Well right here of course, and it wasn't so much of a bribe as it was an invitation.", Vick smiled at her, "I do my street show right here, I perform feats, dance, sing, and other various talents.", Vick would get out a few balls and begin to juggle... "I start off with a little juggling and move into things that are a little more advanced like-", Vick would do a flip and continue juggling,"-This..."

Aurelia clapped her hands when he did his flip, "You're good!" She seemed entertained! "I suppose I should get on to the bakery and to see my patients, but I promise to come back for your show." He seemed like a very nice guy, and what would it hurt to see his show? "What time is it at again?" If he'd said, she'd already forgotten.

About then a woman would rush up to her, seeming quite anxious, "Miss Aurelia! Miss Aurelia!!" Aurelia would turn to the girl, and she'd look a bit worried. From the way the girl was talking, it seemed as if the woman Aurelia had been tending had gone into labor, and it wasn't good. The color drained from Aurelia's face, and she'd look at Vick over her shoulder, "I've got to go, I'm sorry!" With that, she would hurry off with the woman.

((If you want to time skip a bit to his show in the afternoon that would be cool ))

"Good by Aurelia.", he'd say as she hurried off at a high pace, "See you tonight here!", he'd yell to her, hopefully she'd be back, maybe she'd like the show...

Vick would continue setting up his booth for the day's work, time would pass... it was now dusk.

Aurelia had had a rough day. She's heading back to the area where she'd met Vick, looking a little worse for the wear. Her hair is a bit frazzled and her skirts have a bit of blood on them. She's pale and tired looking, but she'd made it back to his show at least.

She'll probably sink down to the ground near to where his booth had been, and she'll stretch her legs out in front of her, while leaning back on her hands. She probably should have gone home for some rest, but a promise was a promise!

"Ladies and gentlemen, from the ends of the Earth, from the top of the sky, and from the bottom of the ocean... I BRING YOU MAGIC!", Vick would breathe fire, "DO YOU LIKE MAGIC!?", he would yell into the crowd and the crowd would respond...

Vick would make his way to his booth and begin to pull some tools out, "Feast your eyes upon this hammer... an ordinary hammer no?", he'd look through the audience and see his friend from the morning, "Miss! Would you please join me on the stage?", he would point to the front of the booth. "If you could test to see if this is a normal hammer please?"

Aurelia wasn't in the mood to be pulled up on stage, but she'd try and muster a smile up and do it anyway. She'd be a bit slow getting there, but she would eventually arrive on stage, and if he offered her the hammer, she would hold it and then nod, "It does indeed appear to be just a regular hammer." She wasn't quite sure what sort of trick he had in mind, and she'd lower her voice, "Should I go sit again?"

All those eyes on her were starting to make her feel uncomfortable and she really just wanted to sit. She'd never been all that great with crowds of people, they usually spelled trouble for her kind.

"Okay ma'am, what I'd like you to do now, is to hit me in the face with that hammer.", he'd give her a smile hoping to get a reaction out of her, what he'd said was fairly ludicrous compared to everyday conversation. "If you could take all of your might and hit me in the face with that hammer, I could show you something fantastic, well other than my face being caved in.", he'd look to the crowd and laugh a bit, they would join in with him, the idea of a man getting hit in the face with a hammer was funny to just about anyone. "So when you're ready ma'am."
