Hello! My name is Minty and I literally just joined this website. Still a little confused, but I joined with the intention of developing my Overwatch character, Flora Lunares. I have another original character named Minty Sugar (yeah, same as my name... we're different people, I swear!) from Outlast. Even though both were originally fandom specific, I am willing to role play them as if they were not. Also, in addition to these two, I have several other characters (Sophie Wellscott, Bridgette Sollier, Rosalia, Elspie Floros, to name a few) from a completely original series but these ones are very incomplete. I'd be willing to role play them but I'd be rather shaky and inconsistent about it.

Personally, I have been role playing for a while... somewhat. I was never popular online so not many people interacted with me but I managed to catch a few hehe. I also once RPed at a game of Scion on campus and my boyfriend and I sometimes do one on one tabletop-ish things (like, role playing and storytelling but without the dice).

So yeah, that's me and my characters... Um, I'm not really sure how these introductions are supposed to go, I hope I did well heheh ;;

Actually, one last thing: if anyone could give me a procedure on role playing here, that'd be great. Also, if anyone could give me tips and advice on plain interacting with the community here/the culture of this website, that'd be awesome!

Regarding the group, it depends on...well, the group. Though to be safe, I'd apply as your character.

Like Missy said, it's probably a good idea to read over any rules that the group has for that kind of info. If the group has any public forums, check out how everyone is posting! But applying with your character is always a fail-safe way to go; if they tell you to join as yourself instead, at least you know that now. Trial and error, that sort of thing.

Thanks for the advice. I went through all the forums of the group and... no one has posted anything yet. It just looks like the admin trying to organize everything and get the party started. I applied as my character and it turns out that the other members are listed as themselves while I am listed as "Flora (played by Minty)." Whoops. It's alright though, I'm sure I'll just get a message, be removed with my consent, and then rejoin as myself. Thanks so much for your kind words!

Sounds like you have pretty much got the situation figured out! Groups can set their preferences regarding whether people can join as themselves, their characters, or both, and also they can choose whether accepting any part of your account will accept the whole of it -- since you were able to join with a character, it may be that they don't mind at all whether you joined as a character or as your main account. Otherwise, you probably wouldn't have had the option to choose.

But, like you said, the admin might still be getting everything set up and maybe hasn't gotten to that setting yet.

Still, great to see you exploring so well on your own!
