''Then we got out here and you reached to grab the falchion then got it and attacked us. If that thing is the cause of Morlias violence...'' She rambled on, flinching. ''Then why does e have it even? It should be hidden away forever!''
Murat nodded and looked for a covering so he didn't have to touch the falchion directly. "Cass, can you use your power to just bury the falchion deep under sand? That would probably be best."
Hassan just shook his hand, trying to return feeling to it faster.

Cass focused onto the falchion...
rolled 1d4 and got 2
1. It is buried. 2. It turns into a falchion bird. 3. It explodes. 4. It turns into a giant scorpion.
Murat turned to watch Cass, but it was Hassan who saw the actual shift of falchion into bird.
"Get down!" Hassan yelled as the falchion sprouted wings and drove itself towards Murat and Cassandra.

Cass yelped and ducked quickly. ''What the heck?!'' She shouted. ''Wings?!''
"What did you do to it?" Hassan yelled, diving for cover as the camels scrambled out of the way.
Even Murat ducked behind Jasafar, who brayed unhappily.

''I just looked at it!'' She sneered, as the winged falchion grazes Murats arm.
Murat yelped as the Falchion bird grazed him, but he was unprepared for Jasafar's reaction.
The camel lunged for the bird's leg, biting down hard and turning it's bladed flight short as the bird beak-planted into the sand from the sudden change in trajectory. Jasafar wasn't done yet; he proceeded to trample over the falchion bird, even as Murat tried to order him off.
"Any way you can turn it back?" Hassan yelled at Cass.

The bird screeches as it's stomped on, flailing it's bladed wings madly.
''I don't know how it changed from me looking at it! It must be a cursed weapon stolen from someones grave!'' Cass shouted.

"Well he did say he killed his friends," Hassan replied, watching Jasafar trample the creature.
Murat finally dragged Jasafar away, but the camel aimed a perfect wad of spit at the creature's eyes before being dragged out of range. Murat grabbed a coil of cloth from Jasafar's saddle and wrapped it around his bleeding arm.
"Is it dead?" Murat called, giving the falchion bird plenty of space. Jasafar seemed content to stand between Murat and the bird; though he lipped Murat's shoulder to check that his knight was still in one piece.

The bird was crushed and didn't move, its wings shattered and trampled on beyond repair. There was several egyptian words scrawled upon it that appeared after the spitwad hit the creatures eyes.
''It looks dead. But whats those symbols on it's head mean...?''

Murat leaned forward but Jasafar cut off his path, refusing to let his knight approach the dangerous creature.
Hassan finally went forward. "It's Egyptian. But I can't read more than a few words. I think it's probably a curse--and given what we've encountered lately, I'm not particularly keen on reading the Egyptian outloud. Hey, Morlia...care to translate for us?"

Mori was out cold still, slumped over.
''He's still ko'd.'' Cass inquired.
''He's still ko'd.'' Cass inquired.
"Well, maybe we can copy it down?" Hassan inquired.
Murat finally dodged past Jasafar's protective stance and drew close enough to look at the writing. To Hassan's alarm, he began to read the Egyptian words out loud.
"What are you doing? You could curse us all!" Hassan yelled.
And then stopped when Murat had finished reading out loud. There was a momentary lull as they braced for whatever was about to happen...

A swarm of something attacks...
rolled 1d4 and got 3
1. Grasshoppers 2. Scorpians 3. Birds. 4. Undead mutant fish.
In the distance the sound of...squawking can be heard. Upon turning, the travelers discover that the sky is turning black. But it is not storm clouds that fill the sky. No. It is a mob of birds. A cacophony fills the air as the birds descend.
Murat ducked and flailed with his scimitar, grabbing his shield for further protection. In moments, Hassan is at his back, helping to keep the birds from pecking the unprotected spots, or divebombing and raking their claws across hair or fur.
A cloud of them attack Cassandra, swooping and divebombing, trying to drive her away from Hassan and Murat.

Cass snarls and hisse at the birds as the sand around her starts to whirl violently as she slashed out and swiped. Her wings flapped furiously so she'd be flying off the ground.
''MURAT! HASSAN!'' She shouted, fighting the birds but gradhually getting farther away as she attacked the fiendish birds.

"Cassandra!" Murat began to move away from the birds driving at them, and towards Cass' current location. Hassan stayed even with him, though he whistled sharply for his mount.
It seemed that Morlia was being left alone, although a few birds settled on his body--only to take flight as the camel moved toward Hassan.
"Cass! If you can get to the camels, you'll be better off," Hassan yelled, hacking and hewing at the birds with his scimitar.

This was when Morlia stirred awake weakly, opening their glowing eyes. The rope burns off, singeing the camel as he jumped off of it with a bit of meanurvarig. He cackled loudly, watching the birds swoop around as he spotted his fallen falchion bird.
With a startled gasp he darted over to it and picked the limp bird up without getting scratched much, and stared at it. He had befriended this aincent bird from the tomb of a feared sand demon, and it had vowed to aid him in it travels no matter what force came between them. Now it rested limply on his paws, eyes caked in spit and the wings warped and bent.
''You....You....You monsters...'' He hissed, then fell to his knees and hugged his fallen friend tightly. His ears pinned back, as his fury began to reach it's boiling point.
Cass ran over to a camel, or tried to, with the birds attacking her constantly.

Hassan's camel, already freaked out by the sudden burning of ropes from the person/thing on top of her, dashed towards Cassandra, and came to a quivering halt.
The poor camel had had enough and was biting and spitting at any bird that came at them. Fortunately it seemed the birds were beginning to drop back; their attacks lessening as they moved to form a protective ring around Morlia.
Murat and Hassan quickly caught up to Cassandra then, before realizing that Jasafar wasn't with them. The camel was heading for Morlia, and stopped several feet back to level a good-sized camel spitwad at the man.
