((An amalgamation of many ideas I have seen on this site. There may be similar themes found in other roleplay a, but these are unintentional. Hopefully this one won't fall short on itself. Prepare yourself for a lot of reading. Hope the giant walls of text won’t scare you guys off.))

SEEKING STUDENTS, TEACHERS, WORKERS, AND THE LIKES.

Hello, my name is Edmund Lloyd, headmaster and psychoanalyst! I’m here today to give you a grand proposal, so just hear me out a bit. Strap on your seatbelts and make sure not to take them off, for this is a pretty big read I’m about to give to you! (But feel free to abandon ship anytime, I won’t be offended.)

Welcome to the Grand Horizon Institute of Paranormal and Supernatural, or GHI. GHI is a place that builds. And not just any old build a wall, build a tower. This is character building! Doesn’t matter how developed your character is, here your character is a dynamic being. Of course, you can use a character who won’t be affected by this roleplay. This place is meant to help you and give everyone a good time.

Perhaps you've heard of this place before. After all, it's quite hard to miss. A giant floating island provides a stark contrast to the bland horizon of sea and sky. Though it seems quite defenseless, there's some sort of invisible barrier erected around it, making it impossible to go in or out. The reason behind this is due to the fact that it serves both as an educational institution and as a place for one to hone their skills and apply it to their lives. This impermeable shield guarantees the safety of all students. That would be the case, unless you have been provided with a permit that gives you access in and out of the shield. Behind the barrier lies a vast expanse, with a huge bell tower in the center surrounded by numerous facilities and buildings. The campus filled with stores, libraries, restaurants, churches, and most of all, my beloved cherished students!

Those who attend this institution are special. Perhaps one may be paranormal, with psychokinesis or telepathic powers. Maybe one is supernatural, flaunting tails or lending more than just one or two hands. Whatever the case is, they have been taken from the world and plopped onto the island to start their new lives. Whatever past you may have had, it is all wiped clean from your slate. As long as you follow the rules of the school, you're guaranteed a life of freedom. It's your life, and how you wish to live it is all up to you. (Me personally, I enjoy taking small peaks here and there underneath the skirts of the girls. Some call it being a pervert, but I call it the joys of youth.)

However, you are not allowed to run rampant on these grounds. Each person is provided with an Integrated Magical Device card that will state basic information and dictates one’s personality based on their activities on school grounds. Anything out of school grounds will not affect the IMD card. This card is extremely resourceful, from helping to keep in contact with friends to providing a handy search engine. The best thing about it? You get to keep it! (I just love free stuff.) Keeping one on hand at all times is important, for it is a multifunctional device that can be used to gain access to certain parts of the campus, contact other members of this academy, draw up maps and diagrams of buildings and areas, and other necessities for a student. (On a side note, if you lose your card, we won’t replace it because it’s free.)

However, all of this luxury does come with a price. We are a battle institute, formed to accommodate the ever turbulent times that are affecting the world of Gelum below us. By pushing our students to the limit, they may concentrate better, gain faster reflexes, and overall see a general improvement in their physical capabilities. To go to the arena means to be ready to concede losses and earn wins, and due to the threat of students actually being harmed, we have instituted a ranking system. With this ranking system, we can assure that people will be matched up against others of the same caliber as them. There are, of course, different methods of engaging in combat:
-Duel Battle (One on one)
-Tag Battle (Two on two
-Crew Battle (Three+ on three+)

There are numerous different classes. One can suggest a new subject and perhaps even bring it into being. In your application, by picking a specific selection such as Warrior, Cleric, Archer, Mage, and Assassin, you will be assigned to a certain amount of sources.

If your character falls into one of the subspecies, please list the species followed by the subspecies in parenthesis. Otherwise, just list the species as is:
Human (Superhumans, Androids, Dwarves, Halflings, etc.)
Beastman (Werewolves, Mermaids, Chimeras, Satyrs, etc.)
Elf (Dark Elf, High Elf, Half Elf, etc.)
Lore (Angel, Devil, Spirit, etc.)
Other (Slime, Golem, Ghoul, etc.)

Applicants please fill out this short sheet:

Name: (Your character’s name)
Age: (How long ago your character was born)
Class: (Warrior, Mage, Assassin, Cleric, Archer, Other, None)
Race: (Human, Beastman, Elf, Lore, Other)
Likes: (State things your character enjoys)
Dislikes: (State things your character hates)
Skills: (Provide a name and a brief description of an ability)

Statistics: (These will stay stagnant for most of the time. There will be no method of enhancing these stats, but one may come across a way to reallocate points. Please allocate a total of 30 points. Statistics will be used as a rough guideline for combatants and noncombatants to gauge one's effectiveness and ability. For example, a person of higher INT should be able to pass a test with flying colors whereas a person with low CHA shouldn't be able to attract people easily.)

Could you describe the characteristics for us? Ie, a description of constitution, etc. That way we can correctly allocate points

Constitution just means how strong their body is, like their stamina. This is just a loose guide to help people play rationally in a free form roleplay, and to restrict godmodding. For example, it should be more difficult for a person with less charisma to persuade people than a person with more.

I understand. I just want to make sure everyone is on the same page in understanding those characteristics, as they can be left for interpretation and that can lead to misunderstandings. I really like this idea, I'm just cautious.
