So I'm relatively new to RPR (but not to role playing). I've made a few character profiles, but haven't quite jumped into role playing yet. I'd like to, but I'm having trouble finding a group/role play to suit my wants. So I'm looking for either 1) a group/role play that does or 2) to make my own that meets the following standards. If you're interested in them and also struggling to find a group, maybe we can build one together. Or try a one on one (though one on ones are difficult for me).

• Vampires!! I'm vampire trash. 2/4 characters I have up right now are vampires, and I know I'd like to add at least two more, lol. Other mythical creatures are cool too. I'm a huge fan of witches (my third character is a witch).
  
• A relatively open world. A lot of the vampire groups I find have a very limited environment, such as a castle or safe home. And I just can't justify confining scary, immortal beings to such a small space, lol.
  
• Simplicity: at least with the world building. I don't need vampires with super powers. They drink blood and don't die. They might be abnormally strong and fast, varying with age. Easy. If your group is a little more complicated than that, that's fine, and I can work with it, I'm sure. But I'm really not interested in the Masquerade-esque idea of having 10 different types of vampires with any numbers of weird powers.
  
• Freedom of expression. Due to RPR's whole structure, I feel it's a little more difficult to have a group that says "killing other characters without permission is TOTALLY fine" but I would like as much in game freedom as possible. I'm not super into restrictions for characters. I want players to be able to play as in character as possible.
  
• Good post length. I used to be able to respond to one liners or a couple sentences, but I'm at that point where I need at least a couple paragraphs to work with. It's difficult to drive the story.
  
• A group that isn't HUGE. I've seen a few groups that are almost what I want, but have too many people! I wanna be able to get to know other members and their characters.

I just saw this but if it is still open, I'm interested. I do have a character who is a vamp. I could tone her down a bit to suit this but I'm curious as to plot ideas

This is still open! I only started it today. And I'm always craving vampire RPs, so it'll probably be open forever, lol.

As far as plot, here's what I'm thinking: overarching plot if we do a group? I'm not totally sure unless we all want to get together and come up with something. I'd expect the RP/RPs to be pretty character driven as a mix of vampires and humans and whatever else should cause plenty of conflict. Ideally, lol.

As for smaller plots, THEY ARE VERY DIFFICULT FOR ME. And this is because so many vampire-based plots are so overdone. We could do "particularly evil vampires want to enslave humanity for their own benefit" thing, but I think I've been in that RP 10 times before. We could do some sort of "these two ancient vampire houses hate each other" dealio, but again, overdone.

As for a more unique plot, I've been sitting on an idea that would involve the Big Bad being a witch. In this plot, though, vampires would have to be unable to get drunk or high or anything, my logic being that if they're unaffected by poison and sickness, there's no reason for drugs to work. However, a witch-turned-vampire (or just a witch and their friends) create a drug nicknamed Rays (like sun rays). It's a magic based substance that--when mixed with another drug--allows vampires to experience the effects. (So, for example, if you--as a vampire--mix Rays into an alcoholic drink and drink, you will be able to get drunk.) However, this witch adds an addictive element to it in order to control vampires for their own benefit. The drug could be changed to add other affects, too: dulled hunger for better control, more strength, more resistance to weaknesses such as sunlight, etc. This is mostly a premise, but I feel like we could take it somewhere if we wanted. Obviously this could potentially include adult themes, but I'd be willing to keep it PG-13-ish for younger RPrs.

Other thoughts: I have a lot of lore established with my own vampires. Part of that lore is that older, stronger vampires are capable and encouraged internally to feed on other supernatural beings--including other vampires. I could drop this? Or we could twist this? But I think it offers some potential IC fun and allows players to create OLD vampires, instead of the occasional "500 year limit" type games lol.

I also have some "hybrid" lore potential. Though a vampire-werewolf "hybrid" would at their core be a vampire with werewolf traits. This concept is still being developed, but I can explain more if asked.

This might not be what you're looking for, but I'll give it a go anyway...

I checked your profile and saw you're of appropriate age... I run an 18+ group called Dead Nation. It's about a fledgling rockband looking to make it big, where some of the members may or may not be vampires... I'll just warn you that there will be some adult themes, like drugs and alcohol, and possibly explict sexual content (though all members have an option to bring such things to PM if they like), so if that's not your jam, don't even bother clicking the link.

And while it may look like the group is pretty big, it's actually just some of the members that have several characters joined. The idea is that not everybody will participate in every thread, but people can roleplay and have the characters interact as they please. I'm expecting some intrigues and drama and interesting group dynamics, and would love it if you joined. What I'm looking for rigt now are fans, possibly a drug dealer and other types of characters that our morally dubious musicians might come in contact with.

No worries! Just submit with the character/s you'd like to use as well once you know which one to use, and you'll be good to go.

Hello there, fellow rper! I was browsing through the forums when I saw this and it instantly drew my interest. I too have an obsession with magic and vampires and other supernatural creatures. If you are still in need of interested people, look no farther, for I am indeed an interested person! I'd totally like to help in creating a plot or whatever else you need ^^

I can't say my group is too oriented to vampires, but it does meet most of the requirements you've suggested (I.e. Open world, non-intensive plot building, multiple settings, supernatural and paranormal activities, relaxed and freeform writing styles, etc.). If you feel that it's interesting to give a try, I suggest you apply. If not, I wish you the best in your search. Of course divergent of the group I'm always open to roleplay something entirely separate, so hit me up when you feel the urge.

Ok, so here it is:

As far as supernatural beings go, everyone typically stays very close-knit with their own species. Anything other than your species are typically not even bothered with. Some even hate eachother. BUT now they find themselves forced to work together to fight against a common enemy that seeks to destroy them all.

Sounds good, though what is the cause for them to suddenly work together? Could the supernaturals be divided because they all belong to a certian mafia and have to stop the law a bidding police from destroying their line of work? Or something?

That'd be fun! Maybe they band together against another supernatural. Villainous humans are often over done, so maybe witches? Werewolves? Anything really
