First of all, what are they and how do I use them?

Secondly, how do I add people to the relationships? Can I add NPCs as well, with no linking information? (If this doesn't do what I think it does I might end up creating a page that masquerades as one, to add NPCs and such.)

Hi there!

1. They're a way to connect character profiles on the RPR. Among other things, this can help you be updated when their profiles are updated and are an easy to way organize the social circles of your character. You can rename the titles of the four connections (Acquaintance, Family, Friend, Enemy) to whatever suits your character personally.

You can connect two characters by visiting the other's page (for example, Sinnice's here) and look at the top of the page for the +Connect link. Click it and follow the instructions. The player of the character will be sent a request, and they can reciprocate the connection on their end.

2. NPCs that don't have a profile, or characters who don't have profiles on RPR, currently can't be added through this feature. (It's been considered as a feature, but currently isn't really at the top of the list.)You can create an additional Text widget and update it manually with info about NPCs and non-RPR characters though.

Okie dokie. I would like to submit the humble opinion that adding NPCs would be fun, even without doing the epic family tree idea. Just a thought, for whenever there's time for the less important extras
