Wasn't sure which forum to put this in but I finally decided here was best.

The Challenge:

To write a story in 400 words or fewer inspired by the image below.

Hope some people are interested in doing this, after a week people can vote for one of the stories and the winner gets to post the next picture prompt!

Here's the prompt:

Bump

He couldn't help but watch her. This girl was strange to him and he to her, neither was very old but she seemed happier somehow even when spending each day stuck behind as massive stove wall that bordered the trees he sat upon and watched her in. Her auburn hair reflecting in the sunlight and her pale skin giving a sense of grace, why couldn't he do it? Kill her like he was supposed to. While reason told him to he could not and what he did not know was that in a few years time she'd leave the safety of that wall and meet him at the forests edge. Where those slender pale lips would find his own and her gleaming emerald eyes would stare at him with not but love. For though he was a demon...he was still in someways to her a guardian angel.

That was good, I really liked it! Seem as no one else has written anything you can go ahead and post the next picture prompt. Maybe we'll get some more people interested in joining in soon.
