Well g'day world!
Been eyeing this place for a couple months now, since the forum me and a couple friends started kinda fizzled down to nothing when real life took over for everyone except me... and I NEED an outlet for my boundless creativity!
I've been RPing for years, in email chains and a couple online places, but not much until recently, and love to write stories. Long posts, epic plot arcs, LOVE IT. Lasers and missiles and nukes and starships slugging it out, LOVE IT! I'm partial to Star Trek, Star Wars, battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5... yeah. Think those are the big ones off the top of my head.

Those are my favorite shows, and preferred genres. I have a huge world of my own with many characters, and am in fact writing (Several by now!) novels about them. Looking to take a couple of them, or maybe more, and go for a figurative stroll.

Amusingly, I find the sheer size and complexity of this site a bit intimidating, but I'm sure it will pass. Just gotta explore it and make some connections!
Looking to start a couple space combat action/adventure threads, if anyone may be interested? I imagine I wouldn't necessarily do that here though. Would I just start a thread for it or should I go someplace else here first?

No worries, you'll get the hang of the site in no time at all. You can always type questions or keywords in the search bar at the top right of the page whenever you have questions, or just ask us in the Help forum.
As for finding RP, you can get started with the RP Finder or just casually browse the LFRP forum. If nothing matches your interests, you can create your own topic!

I'm sorry to hear your last forum is starting to fizzle. That's a huge bummer whenever it happens, but I really hope you will find this to be a new RP home for you. Sorry you're finding it intimidating; do you have any questions we can help you with?
