First, there was silence. Then there were screams. Shades crept around the castle, making quick work of guards and nobles. It was to be expected from the Nation next-door, of course. Somehow, the alarm was sounded, waking all from their slumber. You haven't a clue as to what is happening within this chaos, yet it is clear that you must escape. Seeing your room hadn't been invaded yet, you quickly stumble around, grabbing a few items you deem necessary, and begin your plan to escape.
Aedis woke up startled by a scream from outside the dark room. Having no idea what was going on, she peered out the window, and it seems that some things are attacking the castle and their guard. It would possibly be best if she were to leave now. Drowsily walking around the room, getting her things and slipping on her breast plate, she starts towards the door, her pack on her back, and shield on her left arm, and her war hammer in her right hand. "What's going on here..?"
She cracked open the door and peered outside the room.
She cracked open the door and peered outside the room.
The sudden increase of sound around her woke the young light sleeper. Adrenaline kicked in as she knew something was wrong. Hearing screams of terror from outside she quickly grabbed her brown bag and stuffed a collection of spare clothes, her note book and blanket. Flinging on her jacket she placed the rock that sat on her bedside table in her pocket and picked up her bow and sack, filled with arrows. After finally sliding the small dagger into the holster around her waste she nervously stood by the wooden doors guarding her from the mayhem just outside. ' You can't just stay here,' she thought to herself. "you can do this."
And with that self encouraging statement she flung open the doors and ran intently in the opposite direction to the chaotic sounds that sent a shiver down her spine.

Rain was sleeping under a tree, when she heard the noises, she had no Idea what was going on...she couldn't see, but she heard foot steps, should she even move?
Marsyllis stirred in his sleep, turning over and halfway kicking the plush down coverlet. The velvet drapes around his bed were fully closed, muffling the sounds outside his room. He was in for a rude awakening.
"My lord!"
His doors were flung open by one of his guards. Syllis thrashed and jumped upright.
"What is the meaning of this!? It's the middle of the night!"
"Dress swiftly, my lord. You are in terrible danger."
Syllis was tempted to bark at the guard some more, but the man's face was bloodied and his tone urgent, even frightened. So the young lord slid from his bed, dressed in simple clothes, and began to gather up his most important possessions. The guard stopped him. "There is no time!"
Syllis hesitated, glaring at the man for his impudence. He grabbed only one thing: a golden circlet with a piece of amber in the middle.
The guard led him out into the hall, where the whispering of the shades and the screams of the dying barraged the lordling's ears. He shuddered as he fled down the hall, making for one of the secret passages that would let them escape the castle grounds.

Rain laid there curled up , and finally she decided to run for it, trying her best to see everything, her vision cleared up a little as she continued on running, only problem was where was she going? She didn't even belong on this land, so she couldn't go for refuge , but she had to find cover.

Rachel was only but a Magician's apprentice, with little knowledge within the Arts. Even if they knew the castle was in a wreck, Rachel hadn't known something so sinister would happen. With a lowly servant informing the smoke-like being with panic before being slain, Rachel hadn't had the luxury to procure items of value themself, escaping purely as a gas. It woukd hurt a lot later for trying to stay together now. But perhaps Rachel was fine with that, seeing as their circumstances were a lot more pleasant than others.
Running down the never ending corridor, Nurse dared not to look back at the chaos she was leaving behind.
"what's going on?!" she whispered to herself as she turned the corner and began to descend the cobble stairs only to be interrupted by the fear stricken gaze of those terrorizing the castle. The shadowy figure locked his blood red gaze with hers and she froze in place. Too scared to move. As the shadow figure began to sway towards her she pulled herself out of her frozen state, turned on her heels and ran in the opposite direction.
Now back upstairs she realised that Nora was now surrounded. Being cornered by the shadows her mind made a split second decision and before she new it she had jumped out of the window behind her and landed awkwardly on one of the nearby bushes. Feeling a pain shoot through her wrist, Nora ignored it, jumped off of the bush and ran swiftly across the green field where she once trained.
Her focus was halted as she heard a fearful cry from, what she believed, was a young child. Following the cries of help Nora found the source of the sound, indeed a young child, lying on the floor unable to get up. Running towards the Childs direction she kneeled down, put one arm around her shoulder and navigated them both across the field. "don't worry." she simply said to the child as they both ran away from the dying castle.

She sniffled " i-i I can't run any more , it hurts " she struggle to stay on her feet. They where abit swollen now, and her ankles were the weakest. " I don't wanna be here "
Nura ceased running and turned to the young girl. "Hey..." She began in a soothing and friendly tone, trying to distract the young child. "I'm don't wana be here either. That's why we've gotta run. Do you think you could do that for me?" She asked before noticing the girls swollen ankle. letting out a quiet 'oh' Nura quickly picked the child up, felt her small arms around her head and began to run. "Sorry if you don't like this." She quickly explained remembering that some kids don't like being picked up, "But we've gotta go." And with that Nura continued to run, Thanking the adrenaline for without it there was no chance, and continues to gain distance from the shadow filled castle and them.
Rain was happy Nura picked her up, she wanted to ask, but she thought it would be rejected.
She had a sigh of relief" thank you mammy" she ment to say ma'am , but she just had a funny way of talking" where will we end up next, these fields seem to go on forever and ever" she said feeling much better, as she held on tight.
