"'Kay," Elias called out to Rose. He turned his attention back to George. "Oh. Sorry to hear about that. Where are they now? Did you leave the gang or something?"
Her surprise at his sudden kindness stopped her sobs. Will hadn't seemed the compassionate type to her. For him to try to comfort her was strange, but she wiped her eyes. Sniffling she continued. "Sorry. *sniff* In order for me not to have them, I have to be drunk so I won't dream when I sleep."
George looked down at the ground. "The gang was led by two siblings, they turned against each other and well let's just say by the end of it I was the only one left." He then looked up at the sky and laid back on the ground. "I lost a lot friends that day, including the only woman who I have ever loved." He took off his fedora and stared at it. "This fedora is the only thing I have to remember her with." He shook off the sadness though, things were getting depressing now.
"I'm going to see if I can walk over on the rocks right here" she said as she hopped from one rock to the other and made it across. "Yes I did it but I still don't understand how people think water is fun" she said.
Will looked at her. "Remember you got us around to talk to." Will stretched his arms before reaching in his pocket. "Well, you told me something personal, so I'll tell you something very personal."
"Oh... wow.... sorry. I'm sorry to hear that," Elias looked at George, his expression full of sympathy. He cleared his throat and looked up. "Well... I'm glad you're okay, at the very least."
She sniffed and wiped away the rest of the tears, her eyes catching the gleam in his pocket. "Will...you don't have to...I mean if it hurts too much...." she touched his knee empatheticly.
George smiled a bit. "Yeah thanks." He looked out at the surrounding area. "Where do you think Will and Raine are?" He said this to change the subject.
Rose petel was still by the water so she followed the stream she slipped a litte into the water and her foot fell in and she yelped quickly and took her foot out and sat there staring at the water remembering when she almost drowned and her friend had died in the water. "I hate it I hate water I will never do anything with water ever again." She yelled. She sat there and got up and kept walking.
Will took out the picture he had shown Rose, the one if the pregnant woman. He put his hand over hers before speaking. "Well, there's that picture you've been wondering about."
Elias shrugged. He jumped up, back to his regular self. "I would suggest going to find them, but they're probably talking about serious things. Will didn't look too happy when he asked for Raine. Guess you're stuck with me for a little longer. Let's talk about something nice! So, what do you like to do?"
"I think we all wondered about it. I think because you were so...quiet and to yourself when we all met for the first time." She bent foward to look. "Oh....Will, she is beautiful." Raine moved her sticky hair away from her face. The woman seemed to have been pregnant and that made her smile. "She is with child!" Her eyes skimmed over it once more. "Who is she?" She almost wanted to touch the photo, but her grimmy hands would ruin it.
George thought for a moment. "Well before I met all of you guys I basically sat around all day training, usually with my glaive and rifle. Wasn't much else for me to do." He glanced over at Elias. "What about you?"
"How does anyone like water?" She asked herself. "Don't they know water is dangerous and deadly." She said as she kept walking down the stream. "George likes the water, raine likes water and so does Will and Elias but why do they like playing in it don't they know they can drown?" She said.
Will sighed when she asked that question. "She was my fiance and she was pregnant with our child. It was gonna be a baby boy. " Will told her, looking at the photo.
"Eh, not much. I get bored really easily, so I never really do just one thing. I did fight demons before, but this is slightly... different from those times." Elias grinned. "Another reason why I'm so excited to get to go on this trip."
She covered her mouth, "I'm so sorry." Raine looked down at the beautiful woman again and tried to imagine her next to him. Wondering what he was like before he lost her. The crickets began chirp and the stars had started to come out.
George smiled. "Yeah this is a bit different from my usual schedule." He took out his glaive and stood up. "Well if you don't mind I'm gonna get some practice in, never know when some demon could attack." He moved a bit so he wouldn't accidently hit anyone and began to twirl his glaive, switching from hand to hand.
"Oh great it's turning night time. I'll head back in a few minutes they won't notice" she said as she kept following the stream.
Will sighed again. "Damn demons, I went out to her some wood and I come back, the entire place is on fire. Demons were crawling everywhere. After I killed them, I found the under the burned rubble of our house." Will began tearing up. This man, the one who single handed lifted a demon and and ripped it in half with a stone spike, was now tearing up.
