George got in closer. This guy had sure seen better days. What is going on right now he wondered.

"I went after someone who had gotten dragged through the portal. I went through the portal, they talked to me, told me the Overlord is coming and the portal needs to be destroyed before he comes." The man mumbled and carried on, talking to himself as he curled up in his chair. On his ear was a weird bite mark that looked like it was from a squid beak.

Elias looked at the man. Was he telling the truth? He glanced at Will, then at everyone else in the crowd, trying to see their reactions to this news.
"How are you still alive...?" He asked the man.

She managed to bandage him in some places before he curled up. Demons? Overlords? Portals? It all seemed too much for him. Not only was he physically injured, it was if he had seen and felt too much and his mind was in a healing stage. Raine ordered him a drink and something to snack on to help him calm down. Bringing it into the crowd, she wiggled her way through again.

What was this man talking about. George's mind was racing trying to keep up with what was happening.

"You need to close the portal before the Overlord and kills us all." The man said, then he began to foam at the mouth and having a seizure as Will reached for one of his pistols.

"Close the portal? Hey!" Elias looked at Will, then scanned everyone else in the crowd, trying to look for someone who could help. His heart was hammering. He didn't know what to do.

"Oh, dear." She tsked to herself and place the drink and food on a table. Guess he got touched too deeply by those things, and this is what it amounted to. A seizing mess of a man. Raine sighed and hugged her tail, blue eyes looking down. The only thing good for the man now would be a priest. The blonde man had reach for his gun and she backed up.

George the other man reach for his gun and tensed up. Something was about to happen for sure he thought to himself. He reached into his trench coat for his weapon.

Something began to move under his skin at his chest. Then, a small, bloody, spikey black octopus demon popped out if his chest and onto the floor. Will stomped in it as it crawled it's way to Raine, it's black blood cover in the bottom of his shoe.

Elias looked at the man again, tensely waiting for a sign of anything else happening. He slowly moved away from the man, his eyes still focused on the body.

She had her blade rings at her side, but didn't move to get them yet. Raine listen to see if he still breathed. Though no movement indicated that he may have passed. Or it was a trap set by a possessed dead body.

George pulled his hand back out of his coat. He moved closer to the body, his eyes not leaving it.

Sadly, then man was dead. The hole in his chest and missing heart were the two big clues. Will see the and muttered something before closing the man's eyes. He then looked around the room. He then pointed at Elias, George, and Raine. "You three, follow me."

Elias nodded, shoving his weapon back into his coat. He stepped over to Will and waited for the other two to join him.

Her ears perked up and she made her way over to them. What a morning. Woke up to the sun and now she was going with these strangers. This was great, something other than being bored.

George walked over to them. "Alright anyone have any idea what just happened right now?" He asked.

Will lead them out the bar and down the street. "That was a Black Popper, a squid like demon who uses humans to feed their younglings. They grow inside the victims chest until they pop out, killing the host." He explained to him.

Elias made a face. "That's disgusting. Where are you taking us, Will? And what's going to happen?" He asked.

Mmmm...she thought to herself. That would explain a lot of the man's condition. Raine came along silently with the group. While they were out however, she would be mindful to plants on the way. She was running low on medicines and herbs and wanted them to be at full stock for whatever they would encounter on their way.
