Hey guise!
I'm looking for people who would like to do a group role-play with me based in the eventful and adventurous space! My idea is that the group is a newly put together group and kind of like the under dogs if you will. There are two options.
1) we start the role play at the very beginning. The crew meet up and are assigned their ship. Whilst on a routine mission they find themselves answering a distress signal from a fleet of highly trained and skilled ships. When they arrive most of the fleet is wiped out and only a few escape with their lives. The enemy? They called themselves the Umbra as they always appear when least expected. After reinforcements arrive and pull you and the remaining crew out of the dead zone you return back to head quarters on Earth. The space organisation that you are part of is called Draita Kroi (Dry-Ta croy)(which means star traveller- intergalactically) whilst some officers, who are no longer fit for duty, stay and train new recruits to fill in for the ones who passed, you and your crew, request to find the Umbra and must travel amongst the stars and put the Umbra to justice. However the ship finds a multitude of adventures on their journeys. (note your character doesn't have to be with the rest of the crew near the beginning. They can be a survivor of a different ship and joins with the rest)
2) basically set after point 1 but the role play starts after. We don't role play the first part.
So... what can your character be aboard thru ship huh?
-Well first things first if anyone wants to be captain please let me know. I can be captain if anyone doesn't want to be but I'm giving anyone the choice
(plus I've never been a captain before )
-Oki (if enough people wanna role play) we could look into having a second in command but if only a few people wanna role play then we can just have the captain.
-Flight control- this involves controlling the ship and/or navigating.
-MEDIC!
-Scientists-if theres not aloe of people rp'ing the scientists can Be trained in engineering.
(everyone will be trained in combat unless they're a situation in which you can't fight)
Last but not least Rules!
-basic role play rules apply
- could your character be no younger than 19? I don't think it makes a lot of since to have a 15 yr old on a ship hunting down intergalactical enemies.
-You can have multiple characters if Yee wish just make sure you can keep on top of them.
-Your character doesn't have to be human if its an alien species would it be okai if you explain what kind of alien it is? It doesn't have to be an entire essay but things like beliefs, attitudes etc.
-HAVE FUN!!!!

Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Far future, perhaps galactic teleporters and fast terraforming
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.

I would have to make a new character (obviously Ingi here isn't really suitable ), but I've been rewatching Star Trek Voyager and I'm kinda in the mood for scifi, though I haven't done any scifi RP in over 10 years! I would want to play a non-human helmsman/navigator who is also a computer programmer--put my compsci degree to work, lol I don't care if we start at 1 or 2. Is there still room?

Otherwise, SAMA could just help out around the ship -- carry things back and forth to people, monitor the ship's flight, etc.
