BACKGROUND:
There are two Fey courts, the Seelie and the Unseelie. The Seelie are considered the bright and shiny group; the group that contains everything good and light in the world. Their king is King Taranis, the King of Light and Illusion. The Unseelie are considered the dark and nightmarish group; the group that contains the nightmares and outcasts from the Seelie court. These conceptions, however, are wrong. There is darkness within the Seelie court just as there is light within the Unseelie.
The Seelie and Unseelie court contain the sidhe. They are the high court and are the rulers of both courts. They appear human but have a light glow to their skin and tricolored eyes. They are not allowed to tell an outright lie to anyone. This means that they tend to play word games and will stretch the truth, tell part truths, or avoid the question altogether.
Within the courts there are other fey. Both courts contain demi-fey. They are the small fey that can pass as insects. It is said in fey lore that, wherever they go, Faerie follows. Faerie is where the courts reside. There is a Faerie mound for the Seelie and another for the Unseelie. The goblins and the slaugh each have their own mounds where they live. The goblins, a part of the Unseelie court, have their own rules and customs with their own king. The king is a position gained by killing the last king. The slaugh are the last of the “wind hunt”. They are considered a part of the Unseelie even though they have their own king and mound. The slaugh are the things of nightmares and are used as the ultimate threat by the queen of the Unseelie court, Queen Andais, the Queen of Air and Darkness. The king of the slaugh is King Sholto, Lord of that Which Passes Between.
The Queen has a set of guards called the Ravens and the King has a set of guards called the Cranes. The Queen doesn’t like to share, so her Ravens are celibate. The sidhe are the royals of the court. They make the laws and seem to be the ones making the decisions even though the other courts are courts of their own. The Queen oversees the slaugh and the goblins.";

Amalina walks through the halls of the Unseelie mound, her dark burgundy dress flowing around her as she walks towards the ballroom. Her long, knee-length blood ruby hair tied up in an elaborate ringlet design with the ends of the curls brushing the waist of her ballgown. She smiles as she walks into the ballroom, seeing the other sidhe standing and talking to their groups. She walks towards the dias with the queen sitting on it. She walks towards it and bows, waiting for the queen to acknowledge her.
She smiles up at the two guards standing on either side of the queen, her Killing Frost and Darkness.
When the queen acknowledged her, she smiled, said her formal greeting to the Queen of the Unseelies. "Greetings Queen Andias, Queen of Air and Darkness." The queen nodded and Amalina turned to the two guards. "Greetings Doyle and Frost," she smiled and turned to walk back to the dance floor. She was one of the few sidhe who would greet the Ravens as formally as the queen. She was also tried to be as kind and sweet as possible, treating the other fey as equals. She has two hands of power, the Hand of Fire and the Hand of Healing. She has lived through many battles but tried to help the people who were hurt instead of actually fighting.

Already on the dance floor was another of the fae, this one wrapped in the arms of a tall and burly looking human. Her honey blonde hair had long since fallen from the neatly threaded bun with which she had started the evening, cascading down her bare shoulders and back. Green and yellow skirts clung to, then twirled away from Selenas's thys, moving with the rhythm of her dance. For his part, the human she was with followed each and every step almost mechanically, his brown eyes glazede over and unseeing. When Amalina walked by Selenas paused both of their dances, her own green eyes gazing at the other farie in amusement.
"A moment pet, entertain yourself to your own accords for a while." She stated, patting the human lightly on the face with her ringed hand. He nodded and remained standing there on the dance floor as Selenas moved away from him and towards Amalina. "Amalina!" She pouted, allowing false sadness and hurt to creep into her voice. "You walked right past without saying hi, too busy with lower forms I suppose to bother with the likes of dear old Selenas hmmm?"

Amalina smiled as Selenas called after her. "Hello, Selenas. I was lost in my thoughts, sorry. How are you doing?" She walked up to Selenas and stopped close to her. "Your dress is lovely tonight, as usual."
Amalina's maroon and black ballgown is a stark contrast to Selenas' dress. As Amalina and Selenas talk, another sidhe walk towards them. Alesky walked up to them and smiled his charming, nice guy smile. His long chocolate brown hair falling to his knees. He is wearing a buckskin colored suite with a white button-down shirt and a black tie and shoes.
"Hello, lovely ladies," Alesky said as he reaches out to take Selenas' hand to kiss it.

Selena's lips parted into a soft, sensual smile and accepted Alesky's kiss on her hand. "Hello there yourself handsome." Her touch was cold, nearly as cold as the ice she used in both battle and healing. When Alesky took his lips away he might find small crystals of frost still on his lips.
Amalina giggled at her friend's reaction. "Hello, Alesky. How are you today?" Amalina smiles as Alesky takes her hand and kisses the back of it; her hand being warmer than normal as he took her hand of fire. Alesky drops her hand and stands beside the two of them.
"I am great. Balls are fun," Alesky says looking at Selena for a moment, then back at Amalina.
"How are you doing, Selena? How is your lovely pet?" He looks over at the man that Selena left standing on the dance floor.

"He's a wonderful dancer," Selena mused, as she too turned her attention to the human. "I found him wandering in an ally, was about to commit suicide the poor dear." Her voice was full of syrupy sweetness. "He isn't one of my better companions, but he will do for a small gathering like this one." Her eyes turned towards Alesky. "What about you dear? Do you dance?" She purred.
He walked in chuckling seeing the Women dancing and chatting, he had played his way in from the shadows those dark eyes glinting in the low torches of the ball room, He was one of the few shape shifters that had not been sent over to the slough, his soft pale skin shone as if he had swallowed a candle and as all fae could he shone more so during times of high emotions, his soft soled dance shoes made nary a sound as he walked towards the Queen, the tails of his coat flutter on the soft "wind" that flowed around Him. He wore that old style showing that he had just come from the Circus having been the ambassador for the Queen to Jean Claude. It wasn't normal that they dealt with the Vampires, but it seemed that after the last case that Marshal Blake had been on they had needed to stay closer with the community so that they could still gather good press.
He went to one knee and spoke "Greetings Your Grace I hope the night is finding You well as usual" Once she nodded He stood and took a place at Her side to lean in and whisper the nights reports

Alesky smiled and nodded to Serena that he did, in fact, dance. Amalina chuckled at Serena's directness, then, something out of the corner of her eye caught her attention. Her eyes found Rory and followed him to the queen. She smiled to herself when she saw his outfit, thinking about how good it looked on him. She finally turned her attention back to her friends and curtsied as she decided to walk off and get something to drink. "I will see you guys later." Amalina smiled and walked off towards the other end of the hall, closer to where the queen was sitting with Doyle, Frost, and Rory.
(Descriptions: Doyle's skin is like the darkness itself. His hair, skin, and eyes are all completely black. His nickname from the court and the queen is The Queen's Darkness. Frost used to be Jack Frost. He has pale, moonkissed skin and silver hair, like the silver garlands you put up at Christmas time.)
((Sorry for this taking so long))

Rory's eyes danced over the girl and a light smirk paints his face as he turned back to listen to the reply over the reports his emerald eyes flashing as she laid a hand on his arm pulling him in to speak lower so those only on the dais could hear the words. He ran a hand through his golden hair and frowned at the obvious order he had been given as he stood straight and walked off with nothing more than a curt nod to the Queen. His footsteps echoed as he moved across the dark polished marble over to one of the noble tables taking a seat and leaning over to speak to the head before watching the dancing with a cold stare.
