Draeval was on the quest to buy something nice for his wife and he knew that he needed to do something special. Well he didn't HAVE to do anything special, but he wanted to. And he couldn't find anything around that he liked, nothing that would suit her personality and nothing that she didn't already have.
So he sprung an idea, which is kind of like springing a leak for him. His brain exploded and he popped over to his friend's house to snatch him. Sadly, he didn't give Gabe much of a choice. I mean, he wouldn't be turned down right? A trip in time with his favorite wolf!man? Who could turn that down? Not Gabe! Ahem.
So Draeval stole him and in another sharp flash of orange he'll spring them back in time to 1945's New York City, which is kind of like now's New York City just, 'Bintage!' Er, yes something like that.

Unfortunately, Gabriel was just out of the shower when Draeval decided to do this impromptu trip, and so he was in his bathroom wearing nothing but a towel around his waist, and his hair was still dripping. BOOM. He's kidnapped in a sparkle of orange light, and he's soon finding himself standing on a street in 1945 and looking like a total fool. "Draeval!!" He's half hiding behind his friend, "I'm not even dressed, what the heck are you doing??" Hopefully the street wasn't too crowded, because he looked pretty pathetic standing there dripping.
He's short for a boy, and he's got a mop of brown hair with red and gold highlights. He's very thin, and very pale, and his eyes are brown. The only item of clothing he has besides the towel was an odd gauntlet on his left hand, that he never took off for anything. Hopefully it wasn't wintertime, or he was really going to be cursing Draeval in a minute!

It was a brisk autumn day in New York and it would have been a quiet one, too, except for the gunfight between the police and a marauding gang in Midtown. People had dove behind cars and into stores to escape the hail of bullets being traded on Broadway. Amid the commotion, a maroon Cord from the mid-1930s sped up to the crime scene and a slender man of average height emerged. He wore a brown business suit which, though obviously expensive, was just a few years out of fashion. The man in the suit began walking behind the policemen firing at the criminals and calmly lit a cigarette while stunned onlookers watched his every move.
When he had safely made it to midway in the cops' firing line, the man stopped his stroll and took a long drag. The criminals, seeing him, quickly withdrew into the bank they had been robbing. The police, never a group to give up a sure thing, raced into the building to finish the job. The man in the suit walked over to a sidewalk cafe and took a seat. He opened a newspaper which had been left on the table and hummed a tune to himself.

Draeval was being yelled at and he frowned, 'But...ya lookz good...' He whined and shifted then snapped his fingers dressing Gabe in something typical of the era. In this case a three piece suit, that fit him correctly if not a little loosely and blended in with everyone else's as well so he didn't stick out too much.
'Bedder?' As for Draeval his appearance would be different as well, he had a persona in this time and so he stepped into the character just like he did anyone else. His hair was smoothed down and parted slightly on the left side, it was shorter as well. He had a two day old stubble growing along his cheeks and he wore a crisp white button down with a brown checkerboard patterned vest over it, underneath the matching brown jacket he wore shoulder holsters which had their weapons firmly in place. And on the lapel was his bright shiny badge.
Drae spun his hat in his fingers before sitting it atop his head, Gabe hadn't seen this one before even as the last piece of the puzzle came alive in the form of hazel green eyes, Draeval was almost someone else. But still himself all at the same time. And that's when the shots caught his attention.
'Dat doezn't quite zound like da welcomin parade...' He let his gaze scan over Gabriel for a moment, 'Lez go c'eck it out...' And he just calmly sauntered off like a man in charge.

Gabriel is put into clothes that he's not overly fond of, and he's picking at them, "You had better give me back my pink bath towel when we're done here..." It's about then that the shooting catches his attention, "Okay...let's go." He would follow along behind Drae, "You look different...." It was something that he couldn't quite put his finger on what it was about him.
"Why are we even here anyway? And where exactly is here?" Yes, he had just been kidnapped, and he was still quite confused.

The man in the suit brought down his pilfered newspaper long enough to spit his cigarette butt onto the street. He was about to go back to his perusal of it when the police led a line of fidgeting, handcuffed criminals out towards the squad cars. The man at the cafe brought out an ornate silver pocketwatch from inside his suit jacket and checked it with a bored sigh; afterwards, he stood and approached the head officer at the scene.
"You're gonna have to do better than that, mac, if you want my vote for ya. I'd give ya...maybe a seven outta ten, if I'm in a good mood; which I am, co-ince-dentally. Sos how about you get your bulls and fade, I gotta go make a deposit."
The police lieutenant, still dazed from the deadly gun battle which had been going on not more than seconds earlier, gave the man a stunned look before nodding weakly. The police quickly piled the bank robbers into the gathered police cars, whereupon the ringleader called the man in the suit "Jack". Jack approached the squad car where the leader was being held.
"Why'd you have to go and show up, huh? This ain't your bank, is it?"
"It is my bank, you dolt. Next time you wanna stick somewhere up, go find somebody else's place to do it at, you two-bit hood."
The police car sped off and the man resumed his seat at the cafe. A few customers had walked outside to resume eating, but most had run off to the other side of the street, where the press was already trying to seize upon whatever remained of the fierce shootout for the evening papers.

Drae grinned at Gabe, 'W'y ub courze I'm gunna gibe it back, juz not w'ile we are 'ere.' They're off and Drae's moving at a brisk pace, still not quick enough to catch any of the action, Gabe's comments didn't go unnoticed though. 'O ya kno, blendin an ztuff.' Maybe his look would seem familiar? Drae wasn't sure if Gabe would recognize him or not at least while he was talking like himself anyway.
'O...I wanted ta get a nice drezz far Key an iz zo 'ard ta find good tingz dat fit 'er in our time zo welp I wanted ta go z'oppin. Welcome ta New York Zity! Zirza 1945, rite afta da zecond big war an buztlin once more. Doug' I da prefer da twentiez diz one will da in a pinc'.' Ahem.
Well they were here and all the action was over, the cars were driving off and the police and presumably criminals were likewise gone. He sighed and looked over to Gabe, 'I hate it when I miss the good stuff.' Now that should sound familiar.

Gabriel would follow along behind Drae as fast as his short little legs would take him. "We seriously came all this way to get Chiara a dress?" He's a bit boggled by that, "Can't she just...make her own?" It was true, Chiara so did love making her own clothing.
Still, Gabe's following along behind Drae, and when his voice changes Gabe snaps his fingers, "Now I know who you look like. But that's not fair. I wanna look like Sam...all tall...and muscular..." Sigh. Still, it seems that they've missed the action, and he's looking around for someone that might have known what was going on. His eyes fall on Jack, "He looks...respectable. Maybe we could ask him?" He's gesturing to Jack, "And then go shopping, and hopefully get home before Asa finds out that I'm gone!"

Jack had finished reading through the article and lowered the paper to call out to a waiter, but before he could do so he spied the boy waving to him nearby. Jack normally would have ignored the gesture and gone on about his business, but he happened to spy an interesting-looking gauntlet on the kid's arm. Jack's demure expression changed into a confident smirk; these two, the kid and the tall fellow next to him, weren't your average city dwellers. The old Jack wouldn't have been able to see that, to anyone else they would have looked like anyone else on the street, but the new Jack felt...something. Magic, perhaps? He didn't know, but there was something that spurred him to talk to the two. Well, something besides his overwhelming concern that it was nearly 1:00 and he was still without his after-lunch drinks.
Jack rose from the table and pushed his way through the nervous crowd chattering in front of the cafe; his mind had already decided on a strategy, for he regarded conversation as more of a way to attain things than a way to socialize. With only a few feet between the two and himself, Jack walked off of the curb and onto the street, where his Cord was parked. He popped open the trunk; inside lay several long guns, a couple of ammo boxes, and six black leather briefcases. Jack motioned to the pair.
"Say, you look like you could use some information; you help me get this kale into that bank, and I'll give you the rumble on what went down today."

Draeval looked at him, "I like to get something special for her sometimes and her body type isn't that easy to shop for. Plus...we have this thing. Ancient and New, you know." He shrugged, "Our wedding rings were antiques, and we've always done little things that tie into time. Just felt like the right thing to do." He gave him a sideways grin and lightly frogged his shoulder, "Well of course, but that isn't fun either."
They're headed off and then he has to laugh, "I kind of like this personality, but I prefer you just the way you are." And he offered a big bright Dean smile, it was the truth.
They're coming up to Jack and Drae quirks his brow, respectable? Really? Well alright then Drae's on the train to figuring something out. But as they came up to Jack the wolf!man gave him a once over, interesting. He shifted and tucked his hands in his front jacket pockets. He eyed the trunk and looked up at the man again. Huh, interesting.
Drae quirked a brow and offered a nod, "Sure why not."

Gabe'd snort at Draeval, "You just don't want me to act like Sam because you hate him." Gabriel had a better...understanding of the character than Drae did. "I wouldn't do that to myself anyway, Asa'd be furious." Though he should probably stop talking about his husband so casually, lest it get him beat up.
Gabriel hadn't been expecting the man to single them out, and when he calls them respectable, he's looking around as if he expected someone to be behind them. Seemed like Jack was speaking to them though, and he'd head forward when Gabriel did. "We heard gunshots." He didn't know if that was normal for this period in New York or not, he'd never been before! He had no problem with helping, and he'd take a case if Jack would let him, "Lead the way Mister."

Jack pulled out two suitcases and handed them to the tall fellow and handed one to the kid. He then carried two under his left arm, for they were rather narrow, and pulled the last suitcase out of the trunk with his right hand. After closing the trunk, Jack held the last case from the bottom rim in an awkward fashion and led the two across the street to the bank. Thankfully, the police blockade was still breaking up further down the street, so the traffic was light enough for them to cross safely. The media was out in full force in front of the bank, harassing the skeleton crew of uniformed officers left behind to question the civilians inside and clean up.
At the first sight of Jack crossing the street, the cameramen flocked up to the trio and a din of clicks was unleashed as a hundred flashbulbs went off. Jack, already familiar with this treatment, took charge of the group and raised the suitcase in his right hand to cover his face from the prying cameras. The newsmen circled the group like ravenous birds of prey, but their quarry had escaped them. Once inside the bank, Jack directed the two towards the rearmost counter and turned towards the gathered employees.
"Was anybody hurt here? Anybody chilled off?"
"No, Mr. Vindici; it was a miracle, but we're all ok."
Another employee spoke up,
"Yes, thank God for your arrival, we could have been killed!"
Jack flinched and the suitcase dropped out of his right hand onto the floor, which made an awful crash.

Draeval took the two suit cases with ease, tucking one up under his shoulder and holding the other with the same hand. He liked to keep one hand free in case he had to pull a weapon, which he was used to doing on more than one occasion.
The reporters caught his attention only long enough for him to flip his hat down to block his face. He'd done the whole reporter thing once and Draeval wasn't really a fan of it at all instead he just pushed through like Jack. Hopefully Gabriel would follow his lead.
Jack directs them and Drae would go pushing his hip into the wall and keeping an eye on the place. "Our companion here is an interesting fellow. He's not...exactly...normal." Drae sniffed and looked back to Gabe, "Then again guess we aren't either." And there was a grin bright and full. Drae wasn't too worried.
But then Jack dropped his case and Drae instinctively put a hand under his jacket, hey it could be serious. But he released his weapon before settling again. He hadn't drawn it, but Gabe had probably seen the action.

Gabriel was surprised by the swarm of reporters, this guy must be someone important! He'd tip his hat too, he really didn't want his family questioning any pictures that might show up. He's just going to follow them inside, and he'll blink at Drae before giving a slight shake of his head. If this guy really was different, he didn't want to get on his bad side!
He'll just walk along, until that weird reaction happens. Gabriel, being the way he was, would kneel and attempt to pick up the suitcase, "Are you alright?" Seems he hadn't even realized what had triggered the spasm, at least not yet.

Jack swiped the suitcase off of the floor and tossed it onto the counter along with the rest. He was angry with himself for showing so violent a reaction in front of people who he had gotten a gut feeling about. For all he knew they could have caught the significance of the moment already; that possibility, combined with the possibility that they might have magic, frightened Jack. Still, he didn't know yet what their intentions were and he wasn't about to act rashly. During his introspection, Jack realized that the kid had said something to him; he grasped for an answer, anything to relieve the tension in the room.
"Muscle cramp, I get 'em all the time."
It was a familiar lie he used to get out of situations like this, and he had long since mastered saying it in a convincing tone. The tellers, meanwhile, had finished counting the money and were taking it down to the vault. Jack realized that he had his part of the bargain to fulfill now, and motioned for the two to follow him out to his car.

Drae let his eyes linger on Jack and he simply grunted at his comment, "Sure, slick. Hate those nasty things." He tilted his head back and then cut his eyes over to the teller. Before looking to Jack again as he motioned to the car. "Alright Gabe, here comes the fun part right?" And there was that flashy smile before he headed out, tipping his hat forward over his face so that it couldn't be seen if the reporters were still outside.
Gabriel's choosing to remain silent for now, he's not quite sure what's going on and he's just going to follow Draeval's lead. "What about the dress?" He's picking at his clothes again, he was completely not comfortable in what he was wearing.
He's also not good at speaking like he's from this time period, so hopefully that wouldn't give away too much about them. He'll tip his hat again, and he'll keep a close eye on Drae, after all the man was his only link back to his proper time stream.

Jack figured that his explanation had been enough for the two, at least for the time being anyway, and grew more relaxed again. As he approached the Cord, he turned to his companions and lit up a Wilton before beginning to talk.
"So here's the rumble, fellas: I got a call about some hoods trying to hold up my bank, which I ain't about to stand for, sos I rushed over here to put a stop to it. Turns out, by co-ince-dense, the copper in charge of those bulls you saw driving off is a flatfoot who's been trying to get a vote of confidence from me sos he can get a promotion. Well, to put things flat, he ain't gonna get my vote if he keeps acting like he did today; some of them people could've been chilled off, for crying out loud.
"Anyway, that's what went on today. So whaddya guys doing in the city, anyway? Day trip, shopping...got someone who needs to catch a little lead poisoning?"

Draeval looked at Gabe and blinked, "Oh yeah we'll get the dress, just as soon as we figure this dude out. Don't worry, we got all the time in the world kid." And he winked, Gabe slap Drae because he's getting too into character!
Jack had his full attention and Drae leaned back on his heels to rock softly. "Well that's interesting, sounds like you've had a busy day fella." He shifted and tucked his hands into his vest pockets, with his eyes quirking at him.
"Oh just some shopping, got to get something nice for my gal."

Gabriel was totally not getting into the proper sort of speech, which could give them away. He didn't even seem to realize he should be doing it. "That's...your bank?" So that meant this guy was loaded! "Well...I'm just glad everybody is okay."
His attention would drift to Draeval, and he'd bristle, "Don't call me kid." He absolutely loathed being called 'kid' or 'boy' or anything close to that, and if Draeval did it again, Gabe might actually punch him. He'll look away from Drae and back to Jack, "Got a girlfriend? Maybe you can show us the way to an appropriate shop for a gift."
