The D.H.F consists of humans and angels. This force was created once Demons began breaking out of their home, Hell. They started wreaking havoc amongst the human race, and the humans being powerless to stop them. Angels descended from heaven and provided aid to humans. Now, there's a constant war between them.

Magic may be accepted as truth but is not common. It might be harnessed only by specific beings. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones.
Modern
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
