He jumped as Rose entered. "Why not?" he asked, contemplating doing just that. "It's not like I'll be going anywhere until you let me go."
He rubbed at his thighs, feeling the pins-and-needles ebb.

Rose couldnt help but smile at him arguing. "You know, you can do whatever you wanna do Cody. Im just the doctor here and i dont know about normal human bodies. So you can go ahead and get up if you want," she replied and sat on the edge of her desk.
If his blood level hadnt risen back to normal or at least halfway normal, his legs would give out on him after the first few seconds. But she didnt know how Cody's body worked so he couldve very well recovered in such short time.
Jackson smiled and sat up. "Its two hours after dark and your not tired?" he asked.

"I'm tired, I just..." She shrugged. "I thought you'd fall asleep easier without me here to take up some of the bed." Rina pulled at her braid unconsciously. Then getting up she undid it, letting the wavy brown hair tumble down her back. Putting the ponytail on the dresser, she grabbed the dressy like gown and started towards the bathroom. She wasn't going to change right then and there.
"I would sleep better if you were in the bed to take up space," Jackson replied with a chuckle.
He watched her leave to go into the bathroom then grabbed his TV remote and turned it on. He flipped through the channels till he found the movue finding Nemo.

Hearing what she thought was the fish movie, she opened the door a crack after she was dressed. Then she said with amusement. "Nemo?" she crawled into the bed and quickly moved into the covers. Chill bumps had invaded and she was fighting them back. So she laid her head on his shoulder and pulled the covers up to her chin. "This is one of my favorite moves. Except when the mom dies...that irritated me quite a bit the first time I saw it." smiling she stayed quit, letting silence engulf them.
Jackson smiled and put his arm around her waist, pulling her to him. "My favorite move but your right about the mom dieing," he murmured quietly.
Then he fell silent and watched the movie but was soon asleep with both of his arms around Rina.

She soon fell asleep next to him after realizing that he had already. Rina mumbled a lot while she she slept, but soon stopped later into the night it got.
He scowled and remained sitting, swinging his legs gently like a little kid. Not that he gave this impression now; his face was clouded over and his eyes were dark with impatience.
"Ugh, next time I'm bringing back up with me," he muttered, flopping back on the bed. "I can't believe I donated blood to werewolves." Another thought occurred to him and he shivered. "You're not going to spread the word about that, are you?"

Rose laughed and shook her head no. "That would be pointless," she replied. Then getting up, she slipped off her doctors coat and hung it on the back of her chair. She was wearing an icey blue tank top and tight camo short shorts.
Sitting next to him on the hosptial bed, she touched his cheek where she had punched him. "How does your head and chest feel now?" she asked but more as a normal girl than a doctor. Also as if she was his friend.

He sat up some when he heard her moving around, he wasn't entirely comfortable anyway with swinging his legs off the side of the bed like that. So he pulled his feet up to sit cross-legged on the bed, Indian-style.
He eyed her blue t-shirt and camo short-shorts with interest. The camo shorts in particular--he had thought only he wore the design openly.
"I, uh," he was unprepared for her to sit next to him, let alone touch him. Warily he let her inspect his bruise. "It feels warm. Throbs a little," he added, honest for once about his injuries. "Chest is achy, but I can breathe fine."

Rose handed him two pills and a cup of water. "Swallow both and you'll be fine after a bit," she said.
She looked exhausted for once and strands of her pink rose colored hair were falling out of her braid.
"You can check me out all you want but im not sure i would date someone who originaly wanted to kill me," she teased and smiled, nudging him gently.

He double-checked the pills and then downed them with the water. That done and over with, he flushed suddenly at Rose's comment.
"I-I'm not checking you out." At least, he hadn't thought that he was. He'd simply been...looking at her. And her nudge gave him goosebumps. "I just, your shorts--they're the same design as my pants." Well duh, anyone could see that, he felt like captain obvious and he should probably shut his mouth before he said anything worse.
"Why would you want to date me? I tried to kill your pack. Besides you're a werewolf and I'm a human..." he trailed off and suddenly seemed a little more concerned. "You're not planning on turning me are you?"

Rose laughed and shook her head. "No Cody im not going to turn you. As i said before, your free to leave after you have your strength back," she said with a smile.
Truth was she kinda though Cody was handsome but she knew he wouldnt even think about dating a werewolf like herself. Besides he was a hunter so why should her want to? All hunters just saw them as monsters and they didnt understand anything.

He scowled but only to cover up his confusion. It was strange; he'd never been laughed at before. Most people cowered in his presence. Or tried to beat him up. But Rose was acting normal in front of him. And he had no idea how to respond to that.
He did, to some extent, like the company. She was easy on the eyes, and her personality seemed fine. The only issue he had was her werewolf blood, but really, that was just a minor thing in the grand scheme of things.
"Rose...?" He hesitated briefly, wondering how she would react to his question. The fact that he hesitated at all when earlier he would have just spat the question out, showed how far he'd come. "How did you become a werewolf?"

Rose had to admit she was caught off guard at the question so her smile faltered. But she smiled again not at all minding it.
"Let me see.. I was a student at Oxford university. I was going to be a doctor and i had one last month left until i graduated. So i deicded to go out for a hike with my boyfriend. We were hiking and i kept hearing something following us but my boyfriend never heard it so i shrugged it off like it wasnt there. But after a while it started to get dark and i was getting uneasy, my boyfriend had trekked ahead so i was alone. I remember tripping and falling but i dont remember anything after that except for waking up in this room. The old doctor here had told me i was attacked by a werwolf and that i couldnt go back to being a normal human being. So i stayed and learned what i could," she told her long story then sighed.
But she smied and looked at Cody. "How did you become a "monster" hunter?" she asked.

With effort, Cody kept his jaw from dropping at surprise. "Your boyfriend was an idiot," he muttered,"I'd've never done that." And then he was asked about his own past.
He grimaced. "I was a former renegade resistance leader--fighting for democracy back when we were about to lose it. But I had...trouble...fitting back into normal life. I never went to college, nearly dropped out of high school before graduating, and had a penchant for weapons. So hunting became my shtick. Given enough time I can find anyone. But I still hold to the creed that no one gets left behind."
Softer, in a voice not exactly characteristic to him, he added: "I'm sorry you were turned."

Rose nodded then smiled happily. "Im not. The pack is more of a family to me than my own family was. They can be a little rough around the edges at frist but if you get to know them, they are the nicest most loyal people you will ever know," she replied.
Then she thought about what he said and looked at him in surprise. "You wouldve never left me there?" she asked.

Cody couldn't help but have his doubts about the 'nicest and most loyal' part. Maybe unto themselves, but there were plenty of werewolves out there ready to shatter that reality. He dropped his head into his hands, rubbing his temples. The medication was already at work and his face felt fine, but he was still confused and wrestling with what he'd grown up believing: that all Weres had to be slaughtered.
At her question however, he shook his head. "I don't leave anyone behind," he emphasized again. "So if I had been there, you wouldn't have fallen behind. Your boyfriend was a jerk to have walked ahead. And it's amazing he wasn't turned as well."
Cody raised his head to look at Rose. He couldn't understand why any guy would leave her behind. Yet was he not doing the same thing? Rejecting her because she was a werewolf.
"I'm sorry," he said, "I just need time to process all this. I've been going through life thinking all werewolves needed to be destroyed, only to find out that some of you live in relative...peace...with humans. It doesn't make sense why some attack and others don't."

Rose shrugged and smiled before sitting criss cross facing Cody. "Some werewolves have grudges or have no morals. Most of them however live in packs and usually those packs want nothing to do with humans at all," she explained.
Suddenly not having slept in two days hit her hard and she started feeling dizzy. Slowly, she got off his bed and took a step towards her desk before stumbling. Having to lean back onto his bed, she shook her head to clear it.

He nodded and then watched as Rose stepped away. He almost wished she would stay, except that she stumbled. "Rose?" He leaned forward to catch her, try to support her. "Hey, what's wrong?"
He would have stepped down, except that he wasn't at his usual strength and he really didn't want to collapse into a heap under her. "You should sit." He didn't think about it as he brushed his hand over her face, noticing how tired she looked.
"When was the last time you slept?"
