Rose paused at the bottom and looked up at him smiling. "Come on Cody! Lets play something!" she said excitedly like a kid.
She was starting to look like one by the way she jumped around and waited for him.

Rose hadnt felt this good and free in two years. Frankly, she was having the time of her life and she wanted to share it with Cody. She would get him to lighten up by the time he had to take her back to camp. That was her mission for the day and she was excited to complete it.

Cody had to lighten up and have fun every once in a while. Thats what she was going to show him and maybe.. he wouldnt see her as a monster like all the other humans. Maybe he would like her for herself.

"...Play?" He looked utterly and completely lost. "What are we playing?" He could see her hopping with excitement however, despite his own reluctance. He climbed back down towards her, wondering what she had in mind.

Tag? Hide and seek? Kid's games? Which he'd given up, or played far too dangerously with the cops for it to be a mere game. Although, out here in the wilderness it could be fun. A small smile tugged at the corners of his lip at the prospect.

He reached where she was standing and stood there, arms loose at his side, trying to prepare himself for whatever she had in mind. "I haven't played in ages," he said suddenly.

Rose grinned happily and tried to control herself but her eyes were bubbling with excitement. "I know thats why we are playing right now. Hide and seek! Not it!" she said quickly not giving him the chance to say not it.

Rose took off into the trees and prarie grass. Finding a good tree to hide behind, she ducked low into the tall grass and crawled behind it. Sitting down behind it, she tried to keep herself still yet she was bursting with excitement on the prospect of playing.

He blinked at her childish antics and then, when she ran off, grinned. It wasn't often he was the one seeking, but he could do this.

"Alright, uh...I'll find you." When he turned back to look at her, she was gone. Hidden away. He saw the stalks of grass swaying from what was probably her movement and he shook his head, the grin widening.

"The best hiders leave no trace of where they are," he said out loud. Although if he were the one hiding, this would not be an easy location to avoid detection.

He wandered through the grasses, checking behind trees as he went. And passed by her location without realizing it.

Rose smiled as he passed by and tried not to giggle like a little girl. Covering her mouth, she had to close her eyes in order not to laugh. Inwardly she was bubbling with excitment and was dying to run around.

Right after this they were going to play tag and Rose was excited to start. Then silently, she crawled away from her hiding spot and behind Cody. Crawling over to a boulder, she sat behind it and checked around for Cody.

She forgot to mention that the base was where they had been standing just before the game. Oh well he would figure it out if he didnt find her first.

He heard something behind him and turned to check, but he saw nothing. Just waving tendrils of grass and lots of trees. And a boulder or two.

Quietly he found the spot where Rose had been just moments ago, it was still warm from her body, and he looked again over at the trees and then the boulders. He smiled to himself as he crept silently towards the largest of the boulders.

"I'm sure if I had a scent hound this would be easier," he complained loudly, though he grinned. He was seeing if he could startle a reaction out of Rose while she hid.

Rose shifted slightly and grinned. Preparing herself for running towards base, she couldnt help but laugh very softly then she quickly covered her mouth.
Shit! she thought.

Knowing her cover was blown, she shot out from behind the boulder and ran for the base.

He swiveled at the giggle, and then saw a shape fleeing back the way he had come. "Found you!" he yelled, giving chase.

It was strange, to be running like this when he wasn't intending to hurt anyone. When he had nothing more than just a simple objective of 'catch her'. But he'd lost track of the base in all the fun and he was probably a few steps behind her, panting heavily as he tried to catch up.

Rose laughed and slowed a bit figuring she should give him a fair chance. She had been using her werwolf speed but not all of it and now she slowed to her normal human speed.

This was the most fun she had ever had to be honest and she didnt want the day to come to an end yet. Not quite yet.

Rose had far too great a lead on him, though he did catch up some, until they reached base. He flopped onto the ground with a sigh, panting heavily.

"You run too fast," he huffed. "There's no way I could outrun you." He slowly caught his breath.

Rose grinned and sat next to Cody on the ground not breathing quite as heavily but still so. "Im a werewolf remember? I have an adavntage on speed," she said and leaned over him.
"Either that or your outta shape," she teased and smiled.

Poking him gently on the tummy, she laughed softly. A soft breeze blew and the faint smell of roses washed over Cody. No wonder Rose had gotten the name she had.

He grunted at her comment. "I'm not out of shape." Well, maybe he'd put on a few pounds since his constantly-on-the-run days, but he wasn't unfit.

He twitched at the poke, trying to whack her hand away from his stomach. He wasn't exactly ticklish, but some spots were more sensitive than others, and she had just found one. And then the smell of flowers confused him briefly.

"Your breath smells like flowers?"

Rose's eyes suddenly sparked as she realized he was sensitive there. Then she grinned and poked him in the tummy again. But his comment threw her off and she laughed softly.
"No not my breath. Thats my scent. Everyone in the whole world has one its just wolves ahve stronger ones. Though you tend to smell of gun powder but im pretty sure thats because you use guns alot. It you would take a shower every once and a while.." she trailed off about the shower part but her eyes showed she was just kidding with him.

The she hopped up and climbed back up the ridge to the top. Where she sat and enjoyed the view of the setting sun. Cody would have to take her back soon... They would probably never see each other again after that wich was an idea Rose didnt really prefer. She kinda liked Cody. Well okay she did like him and she knew she shouldnt. She could be putting her whole pack at risk..and yet there was something about him that made her want to trust him.

He arched a brow at her comment of scent versus breath, and then chuckled a bit. "I guess I would smell of gunpowder. I shoot often enough. At targets. Fake ones," he tried to amend and failed as he floundered deeper. "And I do shower. Often."

When she poked his stomach again he yelped and swiped at her hand. "Gah! Stop that!" He got to his feet again and followed her back up the ridge.

The sunset was beautiful; reds and oranges and pinks streaked the sky. "Wow," he breathed. He hadn't been here during a sunset before.

Rose had arched her brow at his comments then laughed softly at him floundering to patch up his comment. "Well that good that you shower often even though i was teasing," she said with a small laugh.

Rose couldnt help but laugh at his sensitivity to her poking.

She looked up at him as he finally looked like he was relaxing and having a good time. Rose smiled as she noticed her mission was mostly completed though she did add something else to the list. But it might take a little longer than the rest.
"This is the benefit of hiking and mountain climbing," she said quietly and with a smile.

He just rolled his eyes. But it was strange to be standing here next to someone watching a sunset. It was almost something romantic, except that he hadn't done 'romantic' in, well, ever. Or at least not like this.

He stretched a little as the sun dipped beneath the horizon. "We should be getting back," he murmured, though he didn't specify back to where. "Although, I know a good place to eat if you're hungry." Suddenly a chill crept up his spine and he turned to look at the moon. "When do you turn?" He asked, no, demanded suddenly. "When do you turn into a werewolf?"

Rose was caught off guard by his demand then laughed. "Cody chill out. I can change whenever i feel like it. Its my choice, im not forced into it by the moon. When i do change i look just like a normal wolf except a little bigger and my fur is the color of my hair," she explained with a smile.

Climbing back down the ridge, she waited for him at the bottom. When they started to make their way back to his motorcycle it got colder and darker. Rose looked around quickly every now and then, staying rather close to Cody.

"Oh." If that was supposed to calm him down, he didn't see how that explanation would suffice. So much for the full moon myth. He scowled. "I wish they had told the rest of us that."

He trailed behind her on the way back to the motorcycle. Until she ended up beside him, clearly uneasy about something. He twitched at her twitchy-ness. "What is it?" he asked softly.

Rose jumped as he spoke then relaxed and brushed against him as she walked closer. Though she looked at the ground embrrassed as he asked why she was so jumpy. "Sorry....I still dont feel safe at night in the wild areas.." she said quietly.

A soft, cold breeze blew and she shivered as they walked back. She half wished she had brought her doctors coat or at least one of her coats. She had a nice camo one that kept her warm but she hadnt thought of that as they left. Obviously the nights still carried the winter air.

"Oh. I guess that's understandable." He felt her shiver as they walked back and he knew the ride ahead of them was only going to make her colder.

Once they reached the motorcycle, he shrugged out of his leather jacket that somehow he'd managed to keep in spite of all the earlier excitement of having his blood drawn. "Here, take this."

While she slipped it on, he would toss his leg over the motorcycle and turn it on before waiting for her to climb on. The good news: the restaurant wasn't far. The bad news: it was in the opposite direction of the werewolf compound.

"Ready?" he asked.
