There is a tarven in the middle of the woods there also is a blizzard outside there is a waitress a bar person and a whole lot of people by the fire. There are also demons and swords people fighting with the demons they do not like people of any kind.
Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.

I am going to need a bit more to go off of but this sounds interesting. And breezy, the tech level makes me think fantasy, same with magic.
