The village of Drugaard is a farming- as well as a hunting village that shares its boarder with the great woods known as the Deepwoods. The locals named these woods due to the superstition that this forest keeps going deeper forever. The village is governed by the Vikings, and since lately more and more Vikings have been guarding said village due to many mysterious things that were going on. People went missing, animals were leaving the woods and people started talking about cursed beings in the woods. Some brave hunters togheter with the help of a few Viking soldiers went to investigate.
Brudvig was accompanied by 4 other men. Three of them were local hunters and the other was a fellow soldier. The soldier looked very simular to Brudvig, except for the fact he was a bit shorter, blonde and had a very thick scruffy looking beard. It was night time, and the three hunters were more weary about the woods than the two soldiers were."How long have we been walking?" The soldier with the name Harveld asked in an annoyed fashion."Three hours." One of the hunters replied."The night is young. Plenty of time for trouble." He said with a tone as if he enjoyed this nightly hunt for mysteries. Brudvig stayed quiet and kept holding on to the handle of his axe. He was not relaxed at all.

'My snack has now arrived~' Valendeer thought to herself as she men cam into view. She had their scent hours ago, but thought it was best to hold off until they came to her. Val wore a large purple sweater, making her small, slender frame even smaller looking. Anyone could take her for a little girl lost in the big bad woods, but being a vampire and being around for 200 years made Valendeer someone you didnt want to fight in the night. Her crimson red eyes bore into the young men. Hunger pulsed in her vains.
The men not being familiar with such colours as Valendeer wears would deffinatly see her as some sort of magic user. Not that it mattered. The six men agreed that anyone who was this deep in the woods weren't to be trusted and should be considered a threat.
After a short while snow started to fall in the woods which severely discouraged the hunters."We'll have to get back soon." One of them spoke in a raspy voice."We can't read any tracks if the snow covers them." Harveld chuckled."Soon does not mean right now, brother. We might be on to something. Perhaps you feel it too? AS if something knows you're here." The shortest hunter of the group nodded respectfully."Yes, they don't show themselves these days, but the woods are still full of animals. They're watching us, make no mistake."
Brudvig feld it too."I wouldn't count on mere animals just yet. I've seen no caves that could indicate a predator makes his home here." He spoke in a heavy voice."We leave once the snow covers the land. Not sooner, not later." He sounded certain in that resolve.

Val had now moved to the ground, yet made no noise as she did so. Her skin prickled in the thought of sinking her teeth into the main vain of any of the mens necks. 'Here I come~' She thought as she moved out from behind her hiding place. "Hello there~" She cooed in a liquid voice.
The six men's eyes seemed to have widened at the sight of her. Even though everyone agreed that whatever they were to meet was a threat, for some reason they didn't attack her emmidiatly. Brudvig did at least grab his axe and shield."Is... Is that witch?" One of the hunters asked frightened. Harveld laughed as he clenched his wooden maul in his hands."No, she's a dead witch." The Viking said as he took a step forward. Brudvig held his arm in front of his comrade."I trust this not." He simply said as he looked at Valendeer, finding her to look strangely innocent.
None of these men had ever seen a vampire before, seeing as how these creatures originate in the eastern part of Europe. Brudvig had faced what was possibly a werewolf before, but nothing quite like her. The group remained weary. The two soldiers stood in front of the hunters who readied their bows just in case."Who are you?!" the Winborn called out at her."What are you doing here in the middle of the night!?" Now besides the snowfall there seemed to be a gust of wind passing by as well.

Val smiled and stepped forward, figuring the men had none of the items that would truly kill her. "I was hungry, and I had no money for a feeder, so dont you think this was a good idea to go out and just get me some? I know you "men" think women should sit at home and do nothing, but Im of a diffrent type." Val giggled and eyed the men. "Im no witch, thats silly talk, witches are far from real."
"To be honest, that is quite impressive." Brudvig had to admit. He was not the smartest man around, so he didn't take note when Valendeer mentioned 'feeder' instead of anything else.
These men indeed had nothing that could truly kill her. The only thing that could do permanent damage to her was Harveld's maul, should the blunt edge break he'd be forced to stab her with what would then have become a stake. Vikings weren't Christian either so they carried no crosses around, neither did someone think of bringing garlic. These men were sitting ducks and they didn't even realise it.
"Lies! Witches exist, and you are one!" The rather short but stout hunter said with a trembling voice."Which sane woman would hunt without weapons? She's a witch I tell you." He trembled so hard it wouldn't come as a surprise his arrow would get fired by accident. Brudvig hoped he didn't though. If this creature was indeed magical, there was no need to anger it.
Tensions were high as the group had conflicted feelings about killing a girl. Especially one who seemed so young.

"Who says I have no weapons? Cant one fight with fists, legs and teeth? Nails perhaps?" Val moved closer, her curzy hips tempting the mens eyes to her. "Witches are mad up to keep children from the woods, and your a fool to believe."
A more brave hunter stepped forward."You can't hunt deer with only fists. That's madness!"
Harveld's blood was boiling now. He was hoping he'd find a fight and this one was as good as any."Your mockery has gone on long enough! Witch or no witch, you will die today!" The short Viking charges towards Valendeer with his maul raised above his head."Harveld, wait!" Brudvig yelled, but it was too late. Harveld smelled a fight and he took whatever chance had.

I a split second, Valendeer was gone, extreme speed was a great thing when you where a tiny vampire. A giggle sounded from behind the men. "Fools. You wont put a damned finger on me~!" She cooed in a liquid voice. "Pathetic is all you are. Thinking to push you weight on such a small girl." she pouted.
The hunters got very frightened once they heard the girl's voice coming from behind them."Get away from us!" One of them yelled as the three start shooting arrows blindly. Harveld was even more angry. In a pure beserker rage he yelled loudly and ran towards nothing."This 'small girl' is rather fast though!" Brudvig yelled as he was forced to follow Harveld's lead."Truly you're more dangerous than you look." He tried to reason with her. Even though he loves fights, this seemed dishonorable to him.
"You~" She cooed to a hunter, wrapping her arms around him and her fang slipped into his neck, makeing him in a high state of being. She sucked him dry, licking her dark red lips. "Who else wants to die today? Please, if so attack you petty men."
The remaining men were shocked to see that sight. In only a matter of second this tiny being has killed a man in a way that they haven't seen before. The two other hunters didn't think twice, they ran away screaming in terror. The two soldiers were braver though. And with good reason. If they were to die today in a fight, they'd go to Valhalla."Come on, creature of the night! Have a try at me!" Harveld bravely called out with his hammer in his hands.
"We'll be the judge of that, vile creature!" Brudvig cried out as he too got the battle fury going through him. He swung his axe around and charged towards Valendeer, as did Harveld. Brudvig showed in this charge he was at his best during combat, using his shield to protect himself from anything she tried. His axe was stretched at his side so he cut at her when she tried to escape his shield.
Harveld was less tactical with his hammer, he swung it from right to left when he got close to the vampire.

Valendeer was now up in a large tree. looking down at the men. "I want to play, but not rough." she pouted
"This woman is taunting us!" Harveld yelled. Brudvig lowered his axe and shield."What's with you, fast one?" Rudvig yelled at her."First you slay one of our hunters with ease and now you're avoiding us!"
Then it came to his attention that it might not even be this woman who terrorized the village. She probably was the one, but there was a chance more of her kind roamed the forest."Have you been feeding on these villagers!?"

"I dont hunt in villages, I rather get my kicks this way." Valendeer moved behind Harveld, ripping his weapons away. "A strong man~"
Harveld was not the fastest man around. If she were to bite him, he would have probably reacted too late. Luckilly for him Brudvig was there and he did not hesitate to use his shield to bash the vampire away. With his other hand he pulled his comrade away from her and placed his back against his.
"This was a trap, brother!" Brudvig stated as he looked around in search of her."There's more of them out and we're the ones being hunted right now. We. Must. Leave."
Harveld did not like the sound of that, but even he was smart enough to know when a fight would not work out."Agreed." He simply said.
