Katlina gripped Roeme a bit to ride out the shockwave from the sudden blast, shielding her eyes from the sudden glare. She felt her heart drop in disappointment when she saw the captain emerge covered completely in mech armor, how would she get to him now?
Once the shockwave died down she moved out from behind Roeme and narrowed her eyes. Her hands instinctively tightened around her knives, which she'd been clenching the whole time. She was glad she'd not dropped them when she had been whisked away.
Still, she couldn't remain angry at the man. He had only tried to keep her safe. But she was done being safe. Her heart and mind now screamed at her to fight. It was all she could do not to rush forward, knives flashing. She knew, though, that that would mean a quick death. Instead, she ran her stormy gaze around their surroundings, which smoldered a bit from the blast.
She took a few steps forward, knives now held loosely, ready. Nearby, she saw a heavy iron pipe, most likely refuse from the blast. Could she use that to inflict morr damage? Her mind raced through possibilities, and she flicked her gaze to Roeme, the emotion tightly bottled within her flashing in the stormy grey.

A low warm tingling feeling bubbling in his stomach, Roeme had never witnessed such unwaivering bravery from man nor woman, and it did something to him as a man and as a warrior. Only able to back her efforts, any residual doubt he might have held vanished. Quickening his pace Roeme caught up to Katlina, moving in stride for a fee steps, his natural wider stride outpaced her in the next moment. Placing a firm hand on her shoulder as he squeezed.
His organic steel skin returning to his natural chocolate drop of a hue, as he reverted, Katlina's own person was covered in the same steel. "You only have 5 minutes before you change back....his armor is weak around the joins. I have encountered these behemoths machines in my travels. Use your agility and size to your advantage...make it count."
Stepping out farther in front of her Roeme dropped both arms to his side, lightly clenching his fists. His infamous claws protruding through his knuckles, a slow grazing of metals could be heard, almost like the unsheathing of a sword. His claws full extended, Roeme brought his fists close together creating a three-lined 'X'. He would battle the Captain's two Sergeants. Seeing the inhibitor collars fasten securely aground their necks, there was no doubt they were metabeings. Katlina had his organic steel skin, even if only for a while...he would have to depend on his taciturnity and healing factor is he was to survive this bout...

Katlina's stride faltered a moment as she felt Roeme's hand squeeze her shoulder, her eyes moving to him for a brief moment before she glanced down in surprise, watching the steel forming over her skin. She tensed for a long minute, unsure, but once she was completely covered Roeme could possibly feel her muscles relaxing. Focusing on the man's words she gave a nod, signaling her understanding of the limited time.
In the next moment her gaze found Roeme's as she felt a surge of concern. If she had his armor.. would he be okay? "Stay safe." She murmered, knowing well either or both of them could die here. But she wouldn't turn back. Not now.
"Come little pet." The captain called, a clanging noise whirring as he moved a few steps forward, gestering at her. "Be a good girl and I will let you live. Your...dog must be put down however. He can't be alowed to live, it seems he is much to attached to you. I can't have that. You... are mine."
Katlina broke into a run, ignoring whatever else the captain may have said, his voice a mere buzz amidst her focus. Then man drew closer as her feet flew over the earth. She trusted Roeme to keep the guards occupied and paid them no heed as they moved to intercept her. Hearing a cruel laugh from the captain as he aimed an arm at her, supposedly to fire some sort of laser or projectile, she suddenly leapt forward, pushing her feet out before her and using her momentum to actually carry her underneath the Captain, lashing upward with her knives as she did so, a testing blow.
As Roeme had said, the armor took the knife blows easily. She would need to focus on the weak joints. Emerging behind the Captain she leapt back to her feet, fluidly spinning and burying her knife near the Captain's shoulder, where the arm joined. A howl of pain issued from the man and he whirled suddenly slamming the heavy arm into her chest and sending her flying backward, her largest knife flying from her grasp.
Stomping on the knife, the captain broke it into shards, as Katlina pulled herself back up, amazed nothing was broken. The steel had protected her. Thank you my friend .. Katlina thought gratefully. No time to spare in seeking him out, however, as the captain was now running straight at her.

Hearing the thundering blows of Kyrza began to die down, and the ground stilling itself dispersing the results shockwaves outward. All that could be heard in the distance is the agonized screams of remnant troops, being slaughtered unbiasedly, by a claw brandished Naoru no doubt..
Snapping his neck left the right with nothing but head motions, arms extended. "Well let's get this over with...".
Seeing one of the Cap's, guards step into the light, his skin looked a healthy shade of....green. The man hunkering over his outfit ripped from around his body as he morph into a creature of the animal kingdom.
The man now on all fours, he was draped in a beautiful green shaded tigers pelt, giving of a slight roaring hiss, Roeme focused a great portion of his attention on the fanged man, while not forgetting about the slender figure being refusing to show their hand just yet...

Slaughtering multiples of men than decided to step to him, Naoru snickered with each dropping body the slumped to the ground in his wake. "Come out come out wherever you are," he snickered as his eyes shifted through the multiple faces that scurried either afraid, enraged, or confused. Sticking his middle finger and thumb in his mouth, Naoru blew threw his lips causing a high pitched whistle escaping his being.
Hearing the high pitched whistle, he knew only one person that could hit a high pitch like that with ease. Trampling through the camp, Kyrza smashed through debris of ruined tents, trampled and almost stampeding over women, men and even some that looked like they were mere children all to try and find his Ru-Ru.
Katlina was solely focused on her fight, all other noises and thoughts fading to a haze in the background. The Captain looked angry now. His arm hanging wounded at his left side. Too bad its not his dominant hand... Katlina thought morosely. He wouldn't be very incapacitated, but the wound would at least be a bit distracting.
These thoughts were moving through her even as she dove out of the way just as a blat from the Captain's tech armor hit the earth where she'd been standing moments before. Knowing she only had a few more minutes before her own armor would be gone, she didn't stop moveing, instead rolled to where she'd seen the heavy pipe laying discarded. Snatching it, she stood and turned to slam it as hard as she could toward the Captain's head, as he tried to turn towards her.
Feeling the shock of connection go through her entire arm, she grunted, even as she heard a satisfying clank. Hopefully thatbhad done some damage at least to the vision output within the suit. He wouldn't be able to see as well now.
Suddenly she felt amd heard zingging noises, and her body was shoved a bit forward. Realizing she'd taken a few hits from the armors weapons she growled. She'd be wounded or worse had she not had her own armor. Spinning again, feeling her breathing hard and fast, panting, she tried to think more clearly.
As she did so, she noticed her armor beginning to fade... Not yet she thought frantically. Too soon! No time. It was now or never. She ran straight at the Captain, dodging his fire, a few bits grazing her as she ran. One lazer grazed her left arm, which was already bare of the steel and it burned scorching the skin. A low growl emerged, and she kept going, sliding beneath the Captains legs, his stance wide, just as before. He really should have learned by now... she thought, then quickly slun and jumped, her arms reaching around him to climb quickly up his armor, his body now fully taking her weight. Her small knife glinted in her hands. She just....needed... to get to.. his neck...

Entering a dead sprint straight for the transformed man, Roeme let out a prolonged berserker rage yell. Moments before impact, Rome felt a heavy solid impact sweep his right side. Turning his head in that direction as he was ragdolled a ways away. The second sergeant of the Captain's stood with a single arm outstretched as air currents died down around their arm. The residual breezes enough to knock the beings hood off, Roeme got a small glance. "Did she just hit me with..... the wind?!".
Getting to his feet having taken virtually no damage, his Wolverine inspired claws remained brandished. "Let's try this again...". The anamorphic green man, shifting from his lion form to that of a rhinoceros he placed himself in-between Roemello and the newly discovered airbender.
Seeing the woman turn toward Katlina's fight, Roeme spacing out for a second, saw her perched atop the Captain's mech reverted back into flesh and bone. "Damn...". The woman meant to assist....and Roeme wasn't having it.
Snapped back to reality by the jolsting of the a rhinoceros strength hammering him in the mid section, Roemello's claws immediately retracted...his focus shaken. Grasping the beast under its chin with a single arm, an opened up thrusting palm assured he avoided skewering by it's horn. Sliding back several tests attempting to stop the beast it took moderate effort.
Gaining enough leverage to come to a standstill. He still had to exert force to maintain. A bead of sweat rolling down his cheek he again, looked a Katlina's situation. Seeing the formerly hooded woman seem to find a comfortable distance to attack from a safe range. Roemello panicked seeing the cliff just beyond her location.
Reaching his free right hand out, Roemello did the best he could seizing the woman's metallic collar with his electromagnetic grasp, all he could muster out was a firm yanking motion before he felt the man again sharpshooting before his very person. Watching the man shift to a North American grizzly bear, the man soon towered over Roemello's, 6 foot with an extra foot of his own. Wasting no time the man reared back before sinking his teeth in Roemello's shoulder meat forcing him to shriek out in pain. This battle might be a little more than he bargained for with his freshly returned abilities. Even more so now that he discarded his armoured form transferring it to Katlina. A defect of his mutation.

Katlina, unaware of Roeme having saved her momentarily from the airbenders advance, and planned attack, was struggling to avoid being thrown free of the mech suit. The Captain twisted this way and that, the wound she'd landed on his arm previously causing him to be unable to reach her on one side, giving her the ability to maneuver just out of his reach each time he grasped for her. All the while, she inched upwards, nearly reaching the neck.
Finally, inhaling a deep breath, she was there, poised, her moment at hand. She had only a second There was an opening, just at the neck like she'd thought. I can do it... it ends now.. she felt the blood which came as she bit her lip in fierce concentration, tasted the metallicness off it.
Then, through the fog of her focus she heard Roeme's cry of pain, and her head whipped towards him, remembering his fight. There, she saw a bear with its jaws closed round the dark man's shoulder. It didn't look good for him.
And she couldn't do it. Couldn't kill the man she'd longed to for what seemed like an age. She made her decision and flipped herself agily around so she momentarily hung from the Captain's injured arm, giving her a direct shot. Her small knife flashed quickly, glinting in the sunlight until it buried itself in the grizzly's left eye.
She didn't know if the shot was enough to kill such a large creature, and she didn't have time to find out, for in the next moment she was flung from the arm, landing hard on her shoulder against a rock, feeling the bones there give way. She cried out at the searing pain, looking up through eyes which suddenly streamed against her will, as the Captain towered over her.
Somehow, there seemed to be a smirk on that armored face of his.

"You wabut a piece of me, well then TAKE IT!". Catching a moments break from Katlina's assistance, Roeme made sure not to miss this opening. This was all quickly becoming a botched endeavor. Pushing the bear back, Roeme dropped back a quick fist before plunging it forward.
Making contact he left his fist in place as the bear began to shape shift back too his human form. His planted fist slowly moving with the transformation, Roeme removed it right before completion. The man grabbing the wounds, he believed for certain he was dead. Looking up at Roeme he saw only the outer two claws of his set were brandished. He had purposely spared the man's life by not popping the third, stabbing perfectly on either side of the heart. Grievely wounded the man was out of this skirmish.
The man collapsing at his feet, Roeme was catch off guard by another sneak attack of a wind blast. Having more sturdy footing, he was only slid back a couple of feet this time. Hearing a loud thud and a cracking sensation, Roemello had been in too many altercations to not know the sound of dislocated joints and broken bones. The windstress seeing Roemello's concerned demeanor she turned up the knots on his wind manipulation ability blasting Roeme with localized jet streams.
Tired of this woman's games, through his now watering eyes Roeme saw the Captain in an all to familiar menacing stalk after Katlina. He was done watching her be abused at his hands. Reaching a hand out Roemello seized the woman metallic collar within his magnetic grasp. Yanking at it as if attached by a rope. The woman was jolsted forward, keeping the same arm extend Roeme quickly found the woman's throat in his palm. In the same almost whiplashing motion, he slammed her with moderate force to the ground. Not enough to kill but just enough to incapacitate. The woman had no special defenses so it wouldn't take much.
Standing uo, Roeme quickly took his vision away from the crater the woman now slept. Seeing Katlina leaned against a massive boulder, the Captain had stopped a distance away and prepared to fire a grappling hook at the woman to end it all. Firing it off Roeme attempt to access his speed but he had already spent too much energy transferring his armor and relying on his rejuvenation ability....he only hoped he'd make it in time.

Katlina, through a haze of pain, noticed her large friend racing toward her. He would be too late, her muddled thoughts calculated as she watched the Captain take aim. It seemed he would kill her after all. She had finally stopped being useful to him, her rebellion stirring his ire. In a way, this made her feel peaceful despite the fact that she was about to die. She had fought, she had resisted.
And yet, a part of her, the flicker of herself that could still think through her exhaustion and pain, wouldn't give up the fight. The grapple hook was fired, and it came fast. Just as she saw the Captain shoot, she shoved herself to the side, feeling the barest edge of the hook graze her already wounded shoulder before it dug into the rock behind. Her right hand, the arm still uninjured, closed around a large rock where she'd fallen. As the Captain moved towards her, closer and closer so he couldn't possibly miss his next shot, she tried to push herself to a sitting position, moving through the sharp jabs of pain.
The Captains voice dripped sarcasm and glee as she looked up at him, trying to make her eyes look as cornered as possible. "This is it my little pet. You shouldn't have disobeyed me." Then, he lowered his helmet, the better to see her face as he shot, his arrogance showing through once again.
Katlina made her move, flinging her arm forward as hard as she could, aimed right for his face. The slightly jagged rock soared the short distance between them before for the Captain knew what had happened, the rock struck his temple.
The man grunted, a surprised look on his face as he reeled back, stumbling, hands up to his head.

Seeing his golden opportunity, Roeme may not have access to his armored form anymore but he will still the master of magnetism. Reaching out towards the Captain, greenish-white sparks coated each hand.....and the same static now locally surged across the Captain mech suit. Ripping both hands outward, the Captain's suit began to violently shake as nut and bolts fell from it's workings.
Roemello's green energy lighting up every nook, cranny and weld spots of the suit, he ripped the machinery from the man leaving him exposed in a skin tight one piece jumpsuit.
Dropping in front of Katlina, Roemello would let her decide his fate, now that they were on even ground.
The Captain having learned a thing or two from his time with Katlina, fiened surrender collapsing to his knees before removing a dagger ftom his boot. Rushing Katlina he wished to end her if today was too be his day of days. Of all people, she held two many of his disgusting secrets...

The captain was surrendering? Mind foggy, Katlina found herself confused. The man had no armor now, but his power had not been rendered useless. She still felt it washing over her as the man focused his gaze on her face. He was trying to make her fear him. And she did. But now she didn't care. She had forced her body through the mind numbing fear. But how could she kill a man who was surrendering, no matter who he was? She hesitated, the anger which had seethed through her, all the outrage at his atrocities flashing before her. But she couldn't find it in herself to kill him in cold blood.
And that was that it seemed, the Catpain's ploy had worked, and she had missed her chance. Katlina saw the flash of the man's dagger, felt the man draw so close his face pushed up to hers. The moment seemed to draw out indefinitely. The cold press of the dagger against her throat. The sneer twisting the man's face. Her mind told her all of this, and yet she couldn't get her body to move. Until the Captain paused, unable to avoid one last whispered jab. "After I finish you, love, I will kill your dark friend, and I will kill the sad little boy you took under your wing. You should never have allowed yourself to care."
She had cared. And that gave her strength. Fire lit in her eyes and as the muscles tightened in the Captains arm, ready to draw it across her throat she found she could move. Snapping her hands together she caught the man's hand, still gripping the knife, in her own and twisted it before he could think, before he could react. The knife buried itself in his own chest, his eyes glazing over as life quickly left him.
Then, Katlina began to shake, dropping her hands from the Captains she struggled out from under his weight and collapsed just a few feet away, staring at the now dead tyrant.

Having compressed the Captain's mech suit into rigid sphere, retracting his power the metallic ball fell lifeless to the ground rolling a few inches before wedging itself into ground. Walking over the Katlina's position, the ever pelting of the rain added fluidity to the Captain's wound causing the seeping blood too pool. Not being gentle in the slightest, in a single motion Roemello kicked at the man's side swiftly turning him over.
Leaning down to a crouch, he placed to fingers where he expected to find a pulse.... Looking at a visibly worn Katlina, Roeme saved his philosophical words for another time. "He breathes no more...". Closing the Captain's eyes as his last notion of honour towards him. Roemello placed a hand by the knife sticking out his chest. Bringing his other hand down he grabbed it's hilt. And in a firm motion removed it observing the blade. "Poisonous..." smelling it. (Komodo dragon's poison...). He hoped Katlina was not scathed. Tossing the dagger aside, Roeme didn't worry about spewing blood as he couldn't hear a pulse. No pulse, no pump...no squirting.
Removing his camp issue top, Roeme now was only left with pant bottoms, having discarded his footwear much earlier and no his shift. Laying his shirt out on the ground, with the same hand Roeme held up a fist extracting his claws. Wincing their brandishing hurt everytime. Straddling the Captain's body with a slight hover he turned his back to Katlina no wanting her to endure more.
Beheading the man, Roeme made clean cut before swaddling the solo head in his shirt. Retracting his claws, Roeme gave a leaning look to his left while relieving himself from over the corpse. Hearing the waves cascade below he had found the Captain's final resting place.
Placing the head, down by it's lonesome, Roeme cupped the Captains cadaver under back and knee. Walking to the ledge, he gave a small prayer to his God, hoping he could sort out the man's soul, for he was nothing but a plague during his time down here. Giving a gleeful toss, Roeme honestly felt a sigh of relief he was gone. (Was he wrong for this.)
Turning back to Katlina, "We must return to the camp and shout your achievements. This will surely rally the others." Looking at the Captain's paired Sergeants. "And of them??"

Katlina felt a bit sick. She had watched from her slumped position, the actions which Roeme took on the Captain, groggy though she was. It didn't all register completely, but as she pushed herself to a stand she seemed to be staring at the head which was bagged in the larger man's shirt. Lifting a hand from her non-injured side she rubbed it over her face, and took a deep breath. She felt bone weary, and the exultation she had expected to feel at the Captain's demise never came. She was tired of this place. She longed for the green valley's of home... a place she would never see again.
It seemed that Roeme was speaking to her, his voice sounded as if a bit far off. She focused, able to concentrate a bit better on what he was saying. Shout her achievements? Her lips curved downward and she shook her head, eyes shooting again to the head. She didn't wish to exult. She didn't wish to have any more to do with any of this. Still.. She tried to stand tall, tried to lift her chin and bring a bit of her old defiance, her old strength back into her stormy gaze. Perhaps she had limited success, but she found herself at least able to walk, carrying her right arm very carefully, the shoulder and perhaps other things broken.
As the man pointed out the two soldiers lying prone on the ground, dispatched by Roeme earlier, she shook her head. "Let them live...please." She murmered, not wishing for anymore death today. Perhaps they'd only been following the captain because they'd had no choice anyway... who knew? So many had been forced to work here. She turned a weary gaze upon Roeme, regarding him in his apparent glee over their victory. "Maybe you should just go... you can take the credit for the captain's death. I couldn't have done it without you anyway.." She said. She didn't know what she would do, now that the man himself was dead. Did that mean they were free?

The people of your camp don't recognize me as anyone they can wholely get behind....You on the other hand have been with them every step of the way, and saved as many as you could even alot of times at the risk of your own health. All to help others. You have went out your way to not only save my hide but Isaac's as well. There is none nm more worthy, none the people will trust more than you. You cannot give up now, that is the most selfish thing you can do. Flee if you'd like, your captor is indeed dead, your life your life your own. But if you do I guarantee you will forever regret turning your back on these people in their time of need. Freedom is a relative state of mind....if even one of us is in bondage, none of us are free. This only the beginning.
Walking over to the former Captain's henchmen, the shapeshifting man need the most medical attention and probably sooner than later. Tucking him under one arm, he proped the female airbender on his opposite shoulder, barely turning his head he spoke short slightly disappointed. "I am headed back to camp to check on Naoru farring and too get these two to the medical bay. Do what you will...". Turning back forward he disappeared into the brushline...

Katlina, despite her tiredness, felt the man's disappointment keenly as he walked away. She made no immediate move to run after him, her mind pondering what he had said. How had she become someone the whole camp could get behind? She had lived most of her days in the camp afraid to retaliate against the Captain, unable to help anyone.
But she had helped. The thought lashed out at her, pushing through her dismal mind. She had. Her friend was right. She was being selfish. A sigh sent a puff of air through tense lips and she felt her frustration, and anger slide away. She knew she couldn't stand idly by while the rest of the rebellion went on without her. It wasn't her nature, and she wouldn't try to change that now.
Her steps became purposeful, the pain in each movement pushed away as she tried to focus on the next step. Rally our side . Get them excited. That's what Roeme said needed done. So that's what she would do. The man had gone toward the med bay. Goodness knows she had wounds that needed tended to. But she was done being selfish. The look in Roeme's disappointed gaze came back to her and solidified her decision.
Instead of following the man, she turned and made her way toward the center of camp, toward the same platform she'd been thrown into earlier in the day, where she could get some height, and maybe some attention. On the way, she'd picked up her small dagger which had fallen from the bear's eye when he tranaformed, resheathing it after wiping it on her pants to clean it off.
Then, climbing up onto the podium, she gathered her will, and put as much strength in her voice as she could muster. Her stormy grey eyes blazed a bit as ahe called out. "Let everyone in camp hear me." Her power taking effect with a jolt of pain through her abdomen, and a gasp escaping her. Now everyone, no matter where they were or what theybwere doing, would hear. After a long moment, she gathered herself and shouted, voice a tinge hoarse.
"The captain is dead!"

Throwing a guard with his tail, Naoru smiled as he looked to the center of the camp. Quickly turning his head back to the guards before they could attempt a sneak attack, his voice escaped a soft yet stern tone. "Your victory is futile. Run away," he said as he flew back as Kyrza dropped the men he was squeezing in a bear hug, and Naoru sat upon Kyrza's shoulder.
As Naoru sat on his shoulder, Kyrza clasped his hands together with great force causing a shockwave to knock the surrounding guards back a couple of feet as the landed on their behinds. "You ain't heard the last of us," one guard yelled as the group of guards scurried away in fear of losing their lives. Kyrza turned to the center of the camp standing in place waiting for something else to happen before he heard his Ru-Ru's voice. "Head to the the stage Za-Za," Naoru stated placing his hand on Kyrza's opposite shoulder. Kyrza then walked to the young woman's voice that called out victory.
