In the distant future, The outskirts of space are plagued by mercenaries and guarded by scoutships badly undermanned. A pilot blinded in contact with the enemy and tortured for months by way of ancient magics thought gone with the past searches for a way to cure his blindness and fight the mercenaries. Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (faster than light)
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.

I'm interested, but not a female character. I've got a few various character types on the second page of his profile - perhaps he could be a mercenary that sides with you or otherwise?
In terms of what I am looking for. I am a firm believer that if a character has to be remade in order to fit in with an rp, then you should simply make a character that does fit. Gerrymandering only complicates things and making a character of yours something that they arent simply to rp is unhelpful to yourself. I've seen alot of people try to force either fantasy or medieval characters into settings that they were not intended for and it always seems forced at best. I did also intend for the story to be somewhat of a potential romance one, and that is why I specified an interest in a female rp partner. As for non human characters, I'm not especially interested in neko or earth animal hybrids. If you're going to have an alien, make it an alien. Not a mishmash.
