“You got the credits, we got the crystal.”

"Haven't heard that name since my days in the Sicari...

"When you're in Hyperspace, don't look out the windows. It isn't pretty out there

The ever expanding edges of the universe have been reached by nearly every species in it through the advent of faster than light travel. Mega empires battle for entire galaxies while pirates, security contractors, mercenaries, merchants, and more roam the swathes of space in between that are subject to no one and almost anarchic.
You are a traveler of the universe, free to eke out a living in the Nihil, or join in with factions, or perhaps become a mercenary with only yourself and money in mind. Your future and influence on the universe is entirely up to you.

Well? What are you waiting for?

INFORMATION:
-Factions
The Sicari - Militaristic monarchy originating from the Andromeda Galaxy. One of the Solar Federation's largest enemies

Solar Federation - A democratic republic originating from the Sol system. Currently at war with The Sicari.

Hellas - A somewhat scattered empire, with each territory as its own independent state. Frequent infighting as a consequence, but their militaries are the some of the most elite and fierce in the universe.

Anarchic systems- Star systems ruled by anarchy. Much wealth, pioneering, and adventuring is to be had in these systems, at the expense of safety, with pirates roaming the interstellar space.

(Not interested in any of these factions? Feel free to propose your own.)

The year: Approximately 3100

Tech level: FTL travel via interdimensional warping. Tech levels are different for different planets and systems

Current conflicts:

Sicari with SF

Within Hellas- Nova Spartum with Corinthia

Various large conflicts between warlords and merchants with hired mercenaries and private armies hired by large factions and opponents.
Hasgramorne (played by Draken901)

STARDATE-The 9th of -CORRUPTED-DATA- In the Hasgramordian Year 7260

-Meanwhile in the Hasgramordian Solar System...-

Battle against the factions continues on as ever, with one of the Orakine Sentry Stations exploding into smithereens by an Auzreas Destroyer ship. While many parts of the factions focus their efforts towards gaining more territory on Aethesir.

Everything as is per usual. Constant battles and skirmishes going through the solar system, with space-ships of all kinds blowing up and shooting each other in the void, while ground units try to storm main faction facilities and other things.

And Cairn has a front row seat to the show as he stares out into the black from the safety of his home Space-City's cafe. Watching the violence in the distance while he enjoys a pastry and a latte, kicking his feet up on one of the tables.

Sooner or later, he'll have to get called out to do something, like a lone wolf mission or get ordered to back up a squad. But right now he's just enjoying life without the hastle of waking up in a Vita-Chamber after being engulfed in flames or blown to bits by a rocket. Ah yes... Life is good.

(his setting info can be found on his profile.)
Mensen Unlugard (played by Thirtytwopickup)

Elsewhere, Within the Solar Federation.

"Father, you said I could get more fly time" The voice is Mensen's. He is arguing with his boss, and father-in-law, about his recent grounding.

"We simply don't have the resources for more exploration. A good six months of deals and we should be able to get your ship up and running again." Mr. Rossengard, Mensen's father-in-law, is a heavy-set older man. He was uncomfortable in the heat of his suit and the warmth of his chair. He would squarm around, finding no real comfort.

"Either I fly tomorrow, or I am free-lancing with another company!" Mensen slammed his hand on the desk.

Rossengard turned away and said, "Maybe that is best."

Mensen was taken aback. "Really?"

"A grounded pilot only get half pay. It is important that you support your family. You take care of my daughter first, and then work for me."

Mensen was upset his threat backfired, but he couldn't back down now. He shook his father's hand and stepped outside.

"Well, I wonder who is hiring right now."
Elliot Langton (played by BossMcFloss)

In a cargo hold of a pirate ship, bound and trapped, wa sthe mercenary Elliot Langton.

"Welcome back." Came a deep raspy voice, from a group of men in various armors.

"Don't feel it, but I will pretend I do." Came the clear loe voice of the hired gun, as he tried to wriggle place. His weapons, two energy based revolvers, were nowhere to be seen. Elliot looked around, seeing crates and wires poking from the floor.

"Think you can get out his time, Lang?" Said the same voice from before. "Yeah." Said Elliot.

The man chuckled and walked out of a dark corner of the room. "Eh, you probably could. Won't give you the chance though." He could now plainly be seen, a scar crossing his left eye, an eyepatch over it. He had no hair, and wore a set of cracked and scarred white armor, a rifle slung over his shoulder.

"Gonna kill me?" Questioned Langton as the pirate laughed and walked forward. "Worse." He claimed. Without thought Elliot blurted out "Looking at you is already worse."
Brink Akanah (played by BreezyDawn)

Brink stat stiffly in the plush seat at the helm of her spacecraft. She had just set down upon a world unknown to her. Miko peered out the large window, then squeaked at her. She sighed and stood. He was right, there was no point in staying here. She'd come to start a new life. It was time to see if this world was the place to do it.
The anarchic upheaval she had finally escaped had jaded and warped her, now, as she strode from the beautiful sleek black craft and towards a smallish building which seemed to be a cantina - or whatever the term was for it on this earth, she swept her gazing unblinkingly over the new terrain, teeming with beings she had not yet encountered. The flight info had told her this particular system was the Hasgramordian solar system. She had filed the information away, and now pushed into the building.

Ordering the first thing on the menu from the droid-like being that came to take her order as she slipped into a booth, Miko hanging over her shoulder, she settled her back against the cushion and gazed around her. There were many different beings and mechs here. Different languages as well as the common tongue could be heard in the buzzing hum of the cafe. Curiously she watched all the different beings, taking in what they wore, what they ate, how they spoke. Each detail filing away in her mind. She would need to know as much as possible about this world if she wanted to stay alive. She was sure that here, as well as anywhere in the universe she travelled, she would find power hungry and greedy beings who would as soon take a life as spend coin for a good drink. So watch her back she would. Miko would be helpful in that regard. Her bow was still slung over her should, along with the quiver that never left her shoulders when she was out and about.

Her drink was set before her on the table and the droid bustled away to tend to the other customers. Taking a large swig she hacked loudly, as she tried to swallow the burning liquid. A lone tear escaped her burning eyes as she finally got the fiery liquid down. Wow. That was... well she wasn't sure what it was. She stared cautiously down at the liquid, unsure if she could handle another drink of the stuff. While she waited for her throat to regain feeling she continued watching the beings, her gaze finding a reptilian being who seemed to be enjoying a pastry of some sort. She studied him for a moment, wondering if he was from this area or if he was merely visiting. Curious by nature, she tried to deduce more about him, based on his appearance.
