The Epic Battle Fantasy Team, a group of 4 teenagers/young adults that have managed to save their world countless of times, while somehow destroying a small chunk of it. And yet, they stick together like glue.
Where are they now? Well, right here in this neighborhood, celebrating the teeth-rotting, stomach-ruining, sugar-induced holiday that is Halloween, having a "Trick-or-Treat-athon," of sorts. They've been here for about 9 months, and everything's just...strange and normal at the same time. They reside within a two-floored house, with several decorations just for the occasion.
The first time they had ever heard of this event was through Anna. Just days before the event, she noticed many people around her were holding bags of sweets, costumes, and really cheap plastic skeletons and gravestones. Curious to see what was going on, she approached one of the characters. "You haven't heard?" They asked. "It's the Trick-or-Treat-athon!" They proceeded to tell Anna more about it, and after that conversation, her eyes lit up in youthful excitement. She rushed home and told her friends about it. "So, you want us to dress up as some random people or things and get candy and also stay at home at certain moments to give away candy?" asked Lance, a tad bit skeptical. "I would say you're acting more and more like a child with every moment, Anna, but that'd be redundant." The rest of the group flat-out paid no attention to Lance's comment; after all, a grand majority of them are about as effective as a YouTube hate comment written by someone with slightly under-average intelligence. Natalie, being the group's most passionate cosplayer, demonstrated this ignorance by having the same reaction as the ranger did upon learning this activity. "Halloween's great, isn't it? You can dress up as anything in public and people won't judge you for it!" Matt felt a little confused at the fact that Anna's reaction to the holiday. "Wait, you mean didn't know what Halloween was? How? How do you not know what it is?! That's like...a sin." "Hey, at least I didn't destroy half of Greenwood last Christmas," Anna retorted, reminding everyone about the fact the Matt almost had a miniature bar fight and wrecked her home.
About 30 seconds of bickering later, the group set out to the nearest costume shop, hardware store, supply shop, and candy store, looking to prepare for the possible storm of guest that could be on their doorstep. Hours pass, and they've spent their remaining time making the costumes.
After all was said and done, the Team now waits for their first visitor, whilst doing their daily activities. Each of them are eager as to who'll answer it first. But, in the meantime, it seems just like an average day, only all of them looking even more ridiculous.
Care to chat with them? Or maybe you just want some sweets? Roll a d4 to find out who'll answer your knocks.

- Matt bursts through the wall, sloppily grabbing a bowl of bargain bin candies.
- Natalie opens the door, with a limbless cat beneath her, holding a basket of various bars of chocolate and other sweets.
- Lance, with a stride filled with confidence in his costume, swings the door open with a fistful of hard candies in his hand.
- Anna cheerily pushes the door, holding a bag of gummies.
Halloween was always such an interesting time of the year. Even more so when you considered someone with a rotten reputation could go about unrecognised as their super villain personality instead of something mundane or bought from the store -- not that Emily ever had to deal with that nonsense.
Tonight, Emily did not walk as Emily, but as Weaver, her Miraculous form. Of course, Venna was not too supportive of the idea, but Emily insisted, and eventually got the Kwami to agree to it. Now... it was just a matter of enjoying the night, and hoping that there was enjoyment to be had in the first place.
It had been such a long time since Emily had trick-or-treated. Heck, as she took pause, she rose a hand to her chin and thought about it. She probably trick-or-treated only once or twice in her entire life time when she was younger.
Glancing here and there on the streets, Weaver noted the older folk that also seemed to be walking around with kids, or just in their own group of friends. It seemed that those that were around her age or slightly younger, or slightly older, had not lost their spirit for All Hallow's Eve. Which meant that there was hope for her yet.
Approaching a home, Weaver knocked on the door and decided that she would get into the spirit of things. Perhaps there could be some childlike enjoyment in getting candy for later.

From inside the house, a feminine voice shouted shouted. "I'll get it!" The door creaked for a second, as Anna peeked out. "Oh, hi there," she greeted the newcomer, as she stepped out dressed in a small green dress, her hair held together by a headband in a darker shade of green. On her left hand, a brown paper bag was held from the bottom of it. On the right, a wooden ocarina. "Who're you supposed to be?"
Weaver gave a light giggle, more to herself than to the posed question. Of course... she was not in Paris for the night -- heck, she had not even been in France. So when someone posed the question of who she was, it was just interesting.
"Je suis Weaver. They are... what one would call a 'villain' of Paris," Weaver replied, her accent more British than French when she actually started speaking English.

Anna tilted her head. "What's a 'Paris'?"
Beneath the mask, Emily quirked a brow. Were she not in a decent enough mood because of the nightly festivities, she would have grown condescending. After all, how could one not know one of Earth's more romanticised cities?
Chuckling, Weaver placed a hand on her hip and just replied, "it's a great city, filled with wonderful buildings, art, and has a large tower. Tourists often flock there, though, that's neither here nor there."

"Hmm. Sounds like a nice place," she responded. "Anyways..." She placed the ocarina in a pocket and dug her hand into the bag to pull out a handful of some gummy packets. "As tradition, I guess, here you go." She placed the candies into Emily's hand. "By the way, I'm Anna. What's your name?"
"Lori, pleasure to make your acquaintance," Weaver replied. Lori was a name that she defaulted to when she never really wanted people to know her name.
She accepted the gummy candy packets rather graciously and put them in one of the side pouches of her attire.

"Well, it was nice to meet you, Lori," Anna replied, unaware that she had been lied to. "I'll see you around, then!" Anna shut the door, ending the conversation there.
You could find all sorts of characters roaming the streets on Halloween. It was one of the few times a certain something was willing to come out, clutching a large pail for candy in his paw. He was unusual, as he looked just like a normal bear, except he was standing on his hind legs. But the truth behind this creature was that he genuinely was a bear, but he was a strongly intelligent bear with the capability of speech. Fantastical men and women would not be afraid of this creature, but normal creatures would likely be perplexed.
Bronto really liked Halloween, because it meant lots and lots of candy. Bronto definitely looked like the kind who indulged way too much. Still, that could work to his advantage, as it would make him look less intimidating to those who would be less intimidated by a creature if they looked slow and ungainly.
At Halloween, Bronto could pretend that he's a group of kids in a large bear costume. That was the story he was going to stick with. Eventually, he came to a door that looked inviting enough. He knocked his paw against the door and waited for a response. "Trick or treat, I... I mean we are not a real bear," Bronto said to whoever was at the door.

Natalie hears the loud knocks on the door, grabbing her basket full of various candy bars. "C'mere, NoLegs," she beckoned the group's cat over. As she opened the door, the pair's costumes were shown to the neighborhood. Natz was wearing a bit of a white dress; over it, a short long-sleeved lime green jacket was zipped up. She was also wearing this wig of the same color as the jacket, covering the nose entirely as the hair curled. At the center of her chest, a pink spike extended outwards. NoLegs, however, had a red fan attached to the top of his head, fake claws on the sides of his torso, and some red feathers attached behind him. She observed the new visitor., as she listened on what he had to say. "...You stuttered there for a moment. Why?"
"Oh, well... sometimes I forget of the person I'm standing on top in this costume, hehehe," Bronto said, his mouth clearly moving like it would if he was actually talking. "Hey, hurry up up there, I can't hold you for much longer. Yep, just a costume. Don't be alarmed. I... we just came for candy." Bronto couldn't help but eye the Weavile cat (correct?), and noticed it didn't have any legs. "Aww, what happened to that little guy? He try to take on a gang of thugs and got severely injured in the process? ...Duh, not that I... I mean we would do stuff like that and care for others who do, us just being kids and all, he he. ...But anyway, we're two kids, so maybe a little extra candy?"
He wasn't a very good liar. That was basically Bronto's hobby was going into back-alleys and look for dangerous criminals to beat up. It allowed him to release some savage bear instinct without provoking others to hunt him down and kill him. He was kind of a legend in his home town. ...But this wasn't his home town, and most people weren't accustomed to fat bears trick-or-treating, so Bronto had to pretend he was two kids in a costume.

(Yep!)
Natalie looked a little skeptic about Bronto being 2 kids. "Uh...huh. You know, the kid below you has some impressive balance and strength. If you were actually a bear, and I wasn't the one to answer the door, one my friends would've probably done something," she chuckled. Hearing about Bronto's concern about NoLegs, she picked the kitten up and held him against her chest, and snuggled it. "Actually, no," she responded. "It's a bit of a complicated story... Wait right here!" She gently lowered NoLegs and set the basket next to him. Natz then dashed back inside, leaving the door open. "Anna! Where's the thing you made about the legend?!" She'd shout. Another voice screamed in response. "It's in my room!" Footsteps were heard running all around the house.

Uhh, was she on to him? Did she know he was a real bear? Bronto had to stop worrying and waited patiently. He kept his eye on the cat. Bears were not known for eating cats, but they were carnivores, and if she knew what he was, he was surprised that she would keep a legless cat in his reach. Still, Bronto couldn't squeeze through the door easily, and he had no desire to eat the cat, so she could pretty much keep it safe with him.
Natalie ran back to the doorway, almost tripping on the way. "Sorry about the delay, but I found it! Thank you for not taking the basket!" She would chirp. "Anyways, here's the legend." She held up a bunch of art made of of paper, each image looking like they were from a children's interactive pop-up book.
Ahem...
Long, long ago, back where everyone in this house comes from, there was a single divine being. This was Godcat, mother and creator of everything in existence. Once she created the world and heavens, she felt alone. So, she created a bunch of cats in her own image, making them the most powerful and controlling beings. Then she created every other creature. The cats were incredibly intelligent, as they built our cities and tech. However, the cats became to friendly with the humans, the second most common type of creature.
Just as they were getting too friendly, Godcat was jealous of the cats' devoted attention to the humans rather than her. So, she destroyed everything the cats had created, removing their limbs, making them unworthy of her image. She then left the world out of sheer spite.
On her departure, she left behind 3 sacred jewels, leaving the humans to keep them apart. If they were ever to unite once again, Godcat would return.
To make a long story short...
She was brought back...
But we, as heroes, beat her.
And she flew away, into the far celestial heavens, bringing many of her followers with her...
"Except this little guy!" She held up NoLegs, who purred warmly.

OOC: At least it's not the cliche "Humans are evil" story.
Bronto was actually getting a bit bored of the story. You could tell he was trying his hardest to not nod off. Still, he had one question. "How have the humans been helping the cats?" he asked.

Natalie set down the papers, scratching her head. "Huh... I'm no sure about that. But, if I had to guess, supplies, food, and belly rubs."
"Mmmmm... Oh, ummm I'd say your cat is lucky to have you," Bronto said. "I, uhh, hope our parents give us a pet, soon. ...We haven't taken too much of your time, have we?" Bronto never did explain how the heck, if he was two people, the bottom half could see where he's going in that thick costume. "Uhh... can I have candy now?" Bronto held up his pail for candy. It's possible this bear was a huge glutton and besides not scaring the person, he was pretending to be two people to get more candy.
Natalie shook her head. "Oh, not at all! In fact, I kinda like having people over." She then reached into the basket and pulled out 3 different candy bars. "Have a happy Halloween!" She said as she shut the door.
"Aww, no Bit-o'-Honey's?" Bronto said sadly to himself as he peered inside his pail. Still, he got his candy, and he was satisfied, so he walked off down the street looking for another house to trick-or-treat.
