Xander sit on the edge of the peer, the carnival games and loud people all a hum behind him as he stared out into the sea. He came here knowing there would be throngs of people, their souls lively and fresh, the best kind that Xander loved to devour... But the sight of the setting sun made him loose that hunger, if only until the sun went down... He thought about, what a monster he was, Why was was even put on this earth... Things that made him restless.

Emily huffed, trying to take Charlotte away from the main line, "Can't we just go home? There are too many people here."

Charlotte shook her red mane, showing off how half of it was shaved clean off. She flicked Emily's cheek, "No, we're staying, because I'm going to win a prize or two, or get a date." She grinned, looking over her sister, then down at at their shared shirt. It had been Charlotte's turn to dress, so they wore a stunniny black dress with a pair of V-necks, connecting in the middle.

The sun finally went down covering the board walk with a humid darkness. Xanders glowing violet eyes moved back to the bussel of the Carnival. Who would be his victim tonight? His stomach growled as he stood. His eyes scanning the people. Young girls where his favorite to play with before he ate their perky souls.

Xenon stretched her length out, pushing aside random bits and bobs. A tin can her, a dead jellyfish there, a cotton candy come sticking painfully into her side. Xenon rolled over to a more comfortable position and tried to go back to sleep when something sticky hit her face. Xenon opened her eye to a four year old above her, dripping his icecream through thee cracks. Xenon got up and lifted her head to catch the drippings in her mouth. The boy froze and looked down, Xenon froze as well, they stood there, watching each other. Then the boy ran, screaming about a shadow trying to eat him. Xenon shrugged it off, she was used to it. Xenon lifted to her full length, grabbing the dock boards easily. She began to crawl upside down in the dock. It was easier then trying to go through the trash below. She sniffed the air a moment and noticed a boy to her right. He was red headed and smelled strange so Xenon decided to grip the boards tighter and watch.

Xander, not really watching his steps, pushed people out of his way here and there. Making his way to the core of the throngs of teens and parents chasing down their little kids because it was time for them to go to bed. Xander never understood the humans ways. A boy and girl made out feverishly in the dark corner, a man watched a young girl bend down to pick up her dropped money, an older woman was with young teen boy with her hand in his. They where sick to him, but this was oh so fun to watch. Finally, Xander snapped from his thoughts, sensing a unhuman being among the people. He froze in the middle of the board walk, sniffing at the air.

Xenon was following the boy from below but her curiosity often got the better of her. She would go from back and forth between the boy and other interesting sights, sounds, and sometimes tastes.

She went back and forth like this for a few minutes when she noticed the boy had stopped. She could tell what the boy was doing. She knew he would find her soon enough. She took a few sniffs of his shoe through the boards.
He doesn't smell like a demon, nor an angel. What could he be.?
She took a chance and decided. She tapped the board with the talons of her right claw, just loud enough for someone not quite human to hear.

The tapping made a chill run through him. 'Showing where you are huh?' He thought as he made a B-line to the edge of the board walk, jumping off, grabbing the edge to hang down off the side, looking at the under belly of the board walk now. "What are you... Havent seen anything like you before." Xander stared down the glowing eyes before him.

Emily and Charlotte continued to bicker as they made their way to the board walk. They were lost in themselves, their childish fights. They stood above the other two, not even realizing it as they continued their argument.

"Can't you just be normal?"
"Can't you understand we'll never be normal?"

Xander noticed the girls from the cracks in the walk. Trying to keep quiet.

Alice crawled along the top of the buildings. Her pink eyes radiating in the night as her tail moved from side to side. Giggling to herself as she watched the two girls. Something was a bit off with the two so she wanted to get a better look at them.

Her curiosity would get the best of her someday. Her claws tapped the cement roofs as she moved along them. The moon caught her attention, making her irises huge as she was a kitten. Then she giggled again and shook her head looking back down to see the girls when as they stopped.

Xander sighed. There was another un-human around somewhere. No there was the girls above him, the shadow girl and something else. Xander chuckled to himself, still staring at the shadow girl.I sure picked a night to hunt for souls here.

Alice sat and grinned, her tail stopped it's gentle swaying for a second then resumed as she jumped again, crawling up the building to sit atop the ledge and looked down again seeing the boy with the pink hair.

Xander looked her over for a moment. A lost look in his face as he still hung off the edge of the dock. "And your a cat?" Xander huffed as he eyed her a bit more.

"Mmm I could be." she tilted her head and waved her tail. "But I can tell what your not..." Alice blinked and raked down the building to sit on the lower roof to get closer to him. "Just not what you are." Pink eyes stared down at him, looking him over. The parts of the piercing that he wore glittered when the moon hit it right, making it difficult for her to concentrate.

Xander chuckled a bit more at this. Who was she to ask silly questions, at least he guessed at what she was, and knew he was right. But this was just how Xander was. "And what I am you should all be worried about. All being my silly little prey and not even knowing it!" Xanders eyes glow lowly in the dark of the board walk. His mind wandering as to why these two ladies where here?

Alice smiled bigger. "Prey, huh?" very nice term for him to use. Kinda ironic though, since she was the one looking down at him instead of the other way around. "Not to fond of being hunted myself. Can admit to being silly though." she giggled and tugged on one of her ears.

"Im here for my food." Xander sighed and looked out toward the water, his mind and soul almost seeming to be in a distant place. "Be scared or not of me. But I am no friend, not prey to anyone here.."

Placing her head on her palm she watched him. "I'm just being a curious little...creature is all." she didn't want to say cat, because that wasn't exactly what she was. She would be lowering herself to a lowly mange if she said it was what she was. Giggling, she made her way up higher again. Losing interest in everything, but the very distracting piercing he had.

Xander leaped up from the board walk, now on the top, getting closer to the girl cat. "Your a cute... little kitty." Xander said reaching out. Her soul felt strong. He could sense it.

Bending out of his reach, she laughed. Jumped higher, then lept to sit up on another roof. Looking down at him and laying on her back, half of her body on the building the other half upside down like you would on a couch. Sitting the wrong way. "I wouldn't say I was a kitty. Mister Pierce." Her eyes sparked again as another light gleamed of them.
