i had just finished tying my last pigtail when a knock was heard at the door. i open the door to see the neighborly kids trick or treating, " trick or treat" they all said in unison. " oh my well done guys. okay a chocolate bar for the vampire - two lollipops for the ghost and - oh - a packet of whine gums for the werewolf " i said giving the children the candy. " thanks, and happy halloween yuno! great outfit! " they said walking away as i shut my door. as i walked down the porch i fixed a few decorations.
Walking her sons from the last house, Pixie started leading them and her husband to another. This one appeared to have been relatively popular, as kiddos were just leaving as Luthias and Alonzo just got up to the porch. What they did not seem to realise, however, was that the young woman that was tending to the house was currently busy.
That was, certainly, no matter to the boys.... Unfortunately.
"Trick or treat!!" Luthias and Alonzo said, holding up their bags and bouncing up and down with glee. Alonzo donned his Umbreon onsie whereas Luthias was dressed as Sir Aaron, the prince and Aura Guardian of Cameran Palace. Both costumes were lovingly handcrafted by their mother -- who had been dressed up as a... well... as her husband would have put it: 'Pixie dressed as a pixie for Halloween!'
Pixie's outfit was modest -- it was a dress that flowed down just above her ankles. It was pink that had a red gradient to the flowy part of the skirt. There was a translucent material that had been used to make wings that were on her back -- they were folded down in an 'at rest' position. Pixie's hair had been done up in a french braid, the top of her head was adorned with a faux flower crown of peonies and forget-me-nots.
"Boys, be polite... wait for this nice young woman to finish what she's doing before you say the magic words..!" Pixie called out, having paused at the front of the porch.
"Sorry mum..." both boys said at different times. They lowered their bags for now and glanced from their mother back to the lady that was fixing the decorations.

A tiny little girl walks past Pixie, smiling ever so shyly. Her blue eyes are stunning behind a red masquerade mask, set over a face so grey it is almost black. She is dressed in a red ball gown so adorable it could almost have been sewn for a doll.
She joins the boys on the porch, but hangs back, letting them do the talking. She almost squirms with shyness, uncertain whether she should walk right up to join them, or wait for her turn.
