The house itself looks worse for wear on the outside. Shutters barely cling onto their hinges, windows are dusty, and the curtains are all drawn. The outside is a faded white, with foliage and vines creeping up the drainage. Tacky signs like "Beware!" and "Keep Out!" are stuck in the dead lawn, and cobwebs string the patio. The finishing touch is an axe, with the blade of it embedded into the front door.

Lilliana walked up towards the house in a large robot she had made herself. She was carrying a small bag for candy in one of the bot's hands. The bit it's self was about 6 feet tall, made of strong titanium with a beautiful blue tint. The head of the robot was a dime where inside sat the 12 year old herself her red hair in pig tails as she controlled the robot with two you sticks. As she got to the door the robot knocked on the door on the other side of the axe.

The knocks loosened up the axe, causing it to fall to the ground and clang noisily. On the other side of the hole made by the axe, she would find that there is a beady eye with slits for irises. It twinkled dangerously.

"Did we catch a big fish...Would you be a trick or a treat~"

The eye spoke with statements and commands rather than inquisitive remarks.

There were plenty of other houses along the way to where his next destination was... wherever that may have been. Jas had been busy admiring a lot of the decorations that had been put out for the festivities, and he eventually got to a hope that seemed rather... dedicated, perhaps would have been a good word for it.

Eyeing the shutters and then the person that was at the door, Jas decided to just go on ahead and approach the house himself. He could always trick-or-treat in his own way and receive candies from the people that were offering.

Taking pause just before the porch, Jas waited his turn for now.

The eye disappeared from the hole, and the sound of locks and latches unbolted. If they bothered to look at the back of the signs, they would find that the other side had words like "Enter at your own risk" and "Come in...If you dare". The door suddenly swung open, revealing a small battalion of garden gnomes at the ready. Behind them was a seedy looking fellow, with bandages wrapped around all his appendages. With a grin stretching from ear to ear, he spoke in a raspy manner.

"An' a lad ta boot. Tell ya what, why don't ya come in an' entertain this poor lad a bit? An' do mind th' garden gnomes...I had ta put 'em in their place after the last home invasion. Critters came in through th' darned gutters so I had ta flood it. Made th' whole house stink up, I tell ye."

Lilliana shrugged and her robot went in through the door. "Spooky decorations I like it, you really went all out." She said in awe. "Do you have any candy?" She asked looking around.

As the door unlocked with a series of clicks, and Jas looked within as the door then swung open. He looked to the girl and robot that looked to have walked on in after a brief moment of thought. However, Jas seemed to need more thought to this -- he was not really around to be invited to random house parties... if this even was one.

Sighing, the mute male walked on up, supposing that he would at least entertain the idea and humour the man that was within with his odd gnomes.

Making his way inside, Jas remained silent, simply watching what else would happen, or listening for what the man would ask or say next.

Inside was a completely different story than the outside. Something akin to a bachelor pad, the sleek refrigerator, high tech lighting system, and clean couches spoke volumes to his style of living.

"Do take off your shoes and make yerselves comfy. I think I'll go insane if my only company is that o' the gnomes. I'm afraid I don't got any o' the traditional candies...Would fortune cookies do?"

He walked over to an unopened box and cut the duct tape with his fin blade. Pulling up the flaps, he frowned and pulled out a rigid gnome whose face was covered in crumbs.

"Ah, butterscotch. Filthy bugger got th' goods. Lemme take a step outside real quick to grab some more goods. Don't touch th' fridge, don't open th' door for anybody, an' most of all, don't let th' gnomes outta yer sight. Okay? Okay. Cheerio! Be back in a bit!"

Without so much as a care, he grabbed the keys and left, the door closing with a click. They were left to their own devices, inside the house filled with unblinking gnomes. Perhaps they'd think the man was crazy, talking about statues doing crazy antics. But they might think otherwise when the lights suddenly shorted out.

Lilliana shrugged and glanced at the gnomes putting on her goggles to check them for any cybernetic parts of enhancements along with any runes.

She would examine them very thoroughly trying not to let them out of her sight as she did.

At current, all Jas could really do was stare after the man that left two strangers in his rather strange house. Glancing to the young woman, and then looking to the gnomes, Jas' frown from beneath his mask grew. He definitely was not sure that he really liked the idea of playing house sitter to a man he literally just met for about a minute or two.

Watching the gnomes somewhat, Jas suppressed a scoff of scepticism.

Just why were these gnomes so important that the man asked them to watch after them?

Taking a seat with his back against the wall close to the door, Jas waited while scanning over the gnomes' heads.

The lights dimmed for a second, and the atmosphere shifted from its awkward formality to an ominous silence. Something underneath the couches stirred, and the sound of a door softy clicking could be heard distantly behind the two.

Exploring what was behind them would probably be a smart idea, but should they just ignore the man's warning and look away? Of course, what the man may have said was just to give them a spook, but that was all left to their interpretation.

Hmmm that was interesting, she thought to herself. She didn't glance away from the gnomes but she had a craving for adventure as she clicked a button on her costume and it opened up leaving the dome of the costume to stare or possibly block the gnomes as she put on her goggles and headed towards the doors she heard click. She flashed a smile at the other man and pulled a rune arm out of her little side bag and put it on her arm ready to fire.

Jas merely gave a small glance of acknowledgement with a sort of two finger wave just to let Lilliana know that he heard her. He was not going to ask about what she was doing, nor was he really going to get up and move around a stranger's house. That just was not his style.

No... Jas was actually quite content sitting where he was.

Even if those gnomes were unsettling.
