For years humans have being using a system that has yet to fail. Every human at a certain age gets a little golden card with the name of their soulmate and the location where they will meet or have met. The interesting thing about these cards is that only a human can get them. And humans never know when their soulmate is human or not. So what happens when your card leads you to your soulmate and you find out they aren't human?

I do not have a specific age for this since my character is 23 years old.

oh no not really. just old enough to understand adult things that could come up every now and then.
