''I'm too sore to move from here.''
Sterling carefully hauled Hybrid's arm over his shoulder. "Alright then, I'll drag you. If you stay out here it's just asking for death. Let's go."
Elder nodded, lightweight for being furred and with blades.
Sterling was solidly built and strong, so he hardly seemed to break a sweat as he towed Hybrid Elder along with him. They made it to the inn with no problems. Probably because Sterling carried a sword in one hand and Hybrid bristled with weapons on the other.
"One room, two beds please," Sterling requested. And then collected the key before hauling Hybrid upstairs. "I'll take the bed nearest the door--in case anything happens. Nothing should, but it's a possibility."

Elder had passed out to sleep already, blades still sharp as ever.
"Right." Sterling carefully arranged Hybrid Elder on the bed, though he ripped a few sheets anyway. Well, that couldn't be helped, the man was one large walking blade.
Locking the door behind him, Sterling fell onto the other bed with a sigh after stripping himself of his weapons. The sword and spear he kept within reach in case he needed it. Only then, did he sigh and let his guard slowly relax. Sleep would be great about now.

Elder fell fast asleep, but started to twitch while dreaming, nightmares hitting him. ''Grrff...'' He hissed, rolling around on bed.
Sterling woke from his light sleep to see Hybrid rolling around, but he didn't think anything of it. The man was alive and well, and that's all that mattered at the moment. Sterling fell back into a sound sleep.
Elder flinches and swiped out, tearing the bed to shreds after he was jarred awake by nightmares.
At the sound of a mattress tearing, Sterling awoke with a yell and an unsheathing of his sword. Before he blinked and found that he wasn't under attack after all.
He looked over at Hybrid and winced at the destruction of his bed. "I should have given you the floor," he said. "What happened?"

''Nightmares of the lab.'' Elder saidm looking at the ruined bed in dismay. ''Oops.''
Sterling suppressed a yawn. "Yeah, I don't think 'oops' is gonna cut it with the innkeeper. Oh well. If we get started now, we should make good time. The other Hunters will be going to sleep about now."
''Nightmares are things I can't control...Ugh.''
"Welcome to the club, nightmares are part of life." Sterling grabbed his things and peered out the peephole of the door. "It looks clear and it was quiet all last night, thank God."
He turned back to Hybrid. "You rested enough to head out today?" Because while he was willing to bet they'd get away with one night's sleep, two nights' was pushing it.

Elder changed to hid wolf form with a few blades hidden and darted out from the covers quickly. ''Let's go.''
"Alright, I'm coming." Actually that form would probably work better for getting past the Hunters. "What else can you shape shift into? Or is it just those two forms?" he inquired, grabbing his stuff and following after the wolf.
Elder thought for a bit, then turned into a hawk with bladed feathers. ''...Things?'' He said, fluttering the lights but strong feathers on his wings. Though his talons looked dull, and he lacked his bladed tails. Still had the horns on his head, however.
"Why...why didn't you do that in the first place?" Sterling muttered half under his breath. He shook his head. "Never mind. That's a pretty amazing ability. You think you could slay vampires with your blades?"
''Well, these blades look dull.'' As he flew over to a Sterling and perched on his shoulder. His talons were dull, so much that they were still smooth at the edges. ''Useful, but mysterious. I'm guessing they messed with more than just my looks..''
Sterling couldn't help it; he flinched when the bladed hawk came to land on him. He didn't particularly trust anything that landed near his neck, an instinct when it came to vampires. But he was surprised when the talons weren't sharp. "Could you always do that? Shape shift?"
