Dark rolled his eyes. ''The vault, Sterling. The vault!''
"What about it? I'm not exactly eager to go die, much as I like..." he trailed off. "Actually, if I take out the Vault, I might very well regain my status. I could certainly win back my pendant."
His eyes darkened slightly. "I'll need better weapons though."

Dark hands Stirling an odd sword. ''This sword has a blade of a silver color. The guard strongly resembles a butterfly, its wings inlaid with gold and a white-colored material. Its grip is of a dark brown wood with a pattern made of pyramids and pyramids stained into it. Think you can use it?''
Sterling is more surprised than anything, but he takes the sword gently and slowly backs up to give himself room to test the weight without risking injuring Darkness or Hybrid.
"It feels...good." The hilt fits solidly in his hand and he hefts it. He takes and experimental swing and then looked at the blade again. "Where did you get something--should I even ask?" he cut himself off.

''Found it in a musueum..An abandoned one!''
"Oh, well, thanks." Sterling pulled out the map that they had used to get the altar and perused it for any sign of the Vault. "Looks like I have a bit of a journey ahead of me."
''How far away is the Vault?'' He asked, eying Elder cautiously.
"It looks like a three day hike from here. Straight into the woods. It's nestled in a valley sheltered by two mountains though, so it probably doesn't get a whole lot of sunlight... I'll bet it's surrounded with vampires though."
Sterling glanced at Darkness who was looking at Elder. "Is he waking up yet?"
Sterling glanced at Darkness who was looking at Elder. "Is he waking up yet?"
''He's passed out asleep, but twitching. What if he's lost his mind and went crazy?''
"He wouldn't...would he? He was perfectly fine earlier." But that meant nothing concerning demons, and Sterling's grip tightened on the hilt of his new sword.
Elder groans, hissing and flinches back awake and attempts to swat at Sterlings face with bladed claws, snarling angryly.
Sterling raises the sword to block the blades and scowls. "Right. Back to square one." He backed out of the altar, away from both demons, until he was outside.
Elder growled and charged at Sterling in his wolf form quickly, barking.
"Ah!" Sterling braced himself for the wolf's attack, readying his sword for the attack. "Hybrid! Don't make me hurt you! It's me, Sterling. Don't you remember anything?"
Elder lunged at Sterling, swiping at his face again. Or tried. His scar pained him and he fell short, falling a heap at Sterlings feet. He flinched, then came back to his senses once more. ''Sorry, Stirling...Sterling?''
Sterling had been ready to run Hybrid through, but he halted his attack enough to place the point of the sword against Hybrid's neck
"Hybrid Elder? Are you sure you're okay?" The tip of his blade didn't so much as twitch.

''I will be if you will slowly move the sword away from killing zone, please...''
Sterling hesitated and then slowly took a step back and removed the blade from Hybrid's neck. He still looked braced for an attack, but the immediate danger had passed. "Sorry, you just caught me by surprise."
''What did I do to freak you out so bad? You look like you saw a one winged zombie bird.''
Sterling made a face. "I'm not all that freaked out. I'm just...careful. You don't get to where I am by being slow or taking chances. I'm also not sure if you were having a reaction to the tranq or not. So, uh, don't mind me if I'm on edge for a little bit."
