Darkness snarls, punching the daywalkers away with his clawed hands and kicking the others away with ease. When one would land on his neck he'd grab it an yank it off. He cringed a bit, then tossed the hapless walker into the air.
He flew up, past them, them flew down in a spiralling motion like a screwdriver. He drilled through them and landed on the ground on his feet with ease, the corpse remains falling down onto the others. He licked his hands lightly, then swung his tail into the head of another daywalker.
Elder fainted, staring at the ceiling.

Sterling wasted no time attacking. As exhausted as he was, he knew that the moment the sun sank beneath the mountains, the Masters would awaken. It was perhaps the reason he tried to use the holy water sparingly.
But he lost track of where he was and who he was attacking when he swung and found himself slicing through another cloud of ash as a day walker disintegrated upon contact. And then he was face-to-face with Darkness. Although at this point he wasn't sure it was Darkness. Certainly he recognized the unconscious Elder. And the vampire trying to drag him away--he dispatched with his sword.

Darkness flinches, then holds up his paw to Sterling to show the hell mark still on it. ''Grrrff...'' He hissed, flinching again. A racing heartbeat could be heard from the young demonic monster.
Elder finally started to stir, rubbing his horn nubs.

Sterling crouched beside Elder. "Hey, you okay? Did they knock you out?" With a quick chop, he slices through the rope securing Elder's tail down."Wanna maybe help out and calm down the demon beside you?"
A glance at the sky showed the sun was quickly setting and that most of the daywalkers had fled. The humans had vanished almost as soon as the chaos had broken out.

Elder winces. ''It's Darkness. The daywaklers tied his mouth shut and he went berzerk. I passed out after hearing his bones...See his paw?''
"You don't seriously want me to get that close to him, do you?" A raging demon was one thing, but this was pushing it. He drew out the vial of holy water. "I can probably dismiss the hell mark, but I'm not sure if it'll work while he's in demon form. If you can help calm him down, that would be best..."
Sterling ducked as something or someone went flying overhead.

Dark snarled and shot out a fireball at whatever the object was, semi-feathered wings opened fully. His spiked tail jerks to the right, nearly tripping Sterling with it's weight.
Elder yelped and jerked to his feet and looked at the flying thingy, tail blade raised and ready.

The thing flying through the air let out an inhuman yell as the last of the sunlight vanished behind the mountains and darkness descended.
"Crap! This was what I didn't want to happen!" Sterling yelled, tripping over Darkness' tail. He landed in a crouch, narrowly saving himself and the vial of holy water.

In his trip though, Sterling found the paw with hell's mark on it, and he didn't hesitate. With a few quick strokes, he traced the outline and then scrambled for cover.
Just as the sounds of screeching penetrated the night. The Master Vampires were waking...

Dark screeches in agony and collapses, the symbol sizzlling away as he squirmed around on the ground until he was back in his normal Were form, twitching. He questions what the moon looked like.
Sterling was half out of it anyway, his near death experience far too close to what he almost envisioned it would be.
"The moon?" he looked up at the sky. "It's full moon, or will be completely full by tomorrow night. Why--" he cut himself off and hastily backed away. "Don't tell me you're going to change yet again..."

''The blood red moon will be here soon...And when it's here....'' He cringed darkly, claws clenched. ''The monster within in me breaks loose, Sterling.'' He replied grimly. ''The monster that...Scared off all the friend I used to have...''
Sterling didn't know how to react to Darkness' words. "I've never met a monster that I couldn't kill," he said. Though he'd met plenty who wouldn't stay dead. "I daresay you won't scare me away--but if you'd rather I put you out of your misery before you change...I can do that too."
He took a moment to pour a bit of holy water along his sword, coating the blade in it.

Dark sighed. ''You know I can't die. I keep coming back even after I die. 18 years ago I left the place I called home to find someone. Then thing happened and one day I turned into the monster. The someone got so scared they ran away. I want to find them, but no matter how hard I try they seem to get farther away. It's like life wants me to find them, and won't allow me rest.''
"Well, it takes you time to regenerate, right? It would at the very least buy us some time. Although we might need your strength if the Master Vampires get here."
Some form of sympathy flashed in his eyes before hardening. "Perhaps chasing after them is not the way to do it; sometimes you must let them come to you."
He corked the vial of holy water and slipped it back into his pocket. He felt the tube of ointment and hesitated. He only had enough left for one more bite. Or he could coat his neck in it in hopes of preventing a bite. He hesitated and then looked at Elder. The ointment remained in his pocket.
"Elder, when the Masters come, you need to make use of every single blade you own. They're fast and deadly and if they go for your neck...it's not going to be pretty."

''Got it, but the only blades I have left is my claws, elbows, and my tail...'' He whined lowly.
Darkness cringed bit stood up, then changed into his Cerberus form. He shook off, scarred eyes peering out. Would he meet the same vampire that had turned him in his youth? His mind raced with thoughts before he flinched, chains rattling. ''I'm ready to do whatever it takes.'' Darkness replied, bearing the same gaze that had caused so many others to become unnerved.

Sterling nodded. "If they tackle you from behind, jam your elbow into them. If they come from the front, slash at them with your tail and claws. Just don't let them bite your neck. Or anywhere, for that matter. And behead them if you can. Or stick 'em through the heart. Not sure which will be easier for you."
Sterling turned to look at Darkness and promptly leaped back, his eyes huge. Adrenaline began flowing almost immediately at the fight or flight instinct. "What the--!" Several curses dropped from his lips in his surprise. "You could have warned me first."

Darkness pinned his ears back, the middle head being the main one. ''I told you I was an earth-bound Ceberus. You saw me as this when we first met. I could tell you were scared. Maybe this maser vampire will be the one that turned me. Then I can find out why.'' He hissed. ''Silenia said a vamp bit her but died because her blood is tainted and slimy.'' He added.
Elder spreads his claws, the blades shining sharply and still caked in dried blood from humans. He had a determined look on his face, though grim.

"Still, seeing it and knowing you can do that are two different-" he cut off when three hooded forms appeared before them.
The hooded figures smelled of aged blood; their movements gliding over the ground as though they had no feet, though Sterling knew otherwise. He grimaced and faced one of the three--they had spread out to form a triangle around them.
"What have we here?" A grating voice called from beneath a hood. This one stood opposite Sterling.
"Fresh blood," called the second Master vampire, standing in front of Darkness.
"And a sacrifice," said the third Master vampire, in front of Elder. "We shall feast well tonight."
