Elder was out cold, but he was breathing. His tail twitched a bit before he awoke again, eyes opened somewhat. ''Did it work?''
"For now, it'll help." Sterling sighed and relaxed an iota. "You'll have to keep your arm immobile. So don't do anything like running around or jumping into a fight. Stay on the sidelines. I'll be fine."
Actually between the splints and linen gauze, he'd gotten an idea to try to tie Darness' legs together. It might work, or at the very least slow him down from charging.
"Stay here, Hybrid." Sterling went to do precisely that.

Elder cringed but stayed put.
Dark was still paralyzed, but he was starting to come to as his large tail started to move slowly. His feet twitched and his claws started spreading as he began to regain movement.

Sterling gently looped a bit of rope over Darkness' tail, securing it to his feet as well for good measure. And then hurried out of the way. He didn't want to get close to Darkness' front feet or jaw.
And then that done, he scurried back towards the eel. Just in case Darkness was able to snap his binds and come after him again--or worse, Elder.

Darkness finally awakes fully and tries to stand up. Only he falls facefirst with a loud crash, and lands on his back. He cringed in pain, then got up and snarled at Sterling. His drool gets scattered and lands on Sterlings hands...

1. Drool is very cold 2. Drool feels like a bee stinging rapidly
Sterling was glad to see the rope held--for now at least. But the sudden onslaught of drool had him running for cover. He quickly wiped his hands as freezing cold liquid splattered over them. Saliva from a demon; if only he had the presence of mind to collect it; the cold might be helpful for numbing a patient.
But he didn't have time or the capacity to do such a thing. Instead he grabbed for the vial of holy water he still had left. The runes, if only he could get to the runes on Darkness' legs he might be able to turn him back.
He grabbed for the eel again and flung it at Darkness. If he missed, he'd have to brave teeth, claws, horns, and tail. If he succeeded, he could only hope that the holy water would work its magic.

1. The eel lands on Darkness; 2. He misses.
The eel misses Dark by a mile. He looks at Sterling at laughs mockingly, as of to say he failed horribly. Darkness staggered up once more and used his horns to fling a giant glob of goo at Sterling from the ceiling, hissing loudly. His tail flinched, scratching the wall behind him.
Sterling could only blame his frozen fingers for that particular faux pas. "Dammit." He exhaled heartily onto his hands, trying to warm them from the freezing drool. At last, they were working properly.
He ducked the glob of goo hurtling his way and then ran towards Darkness. He needed to get closer to those runes on his legs, but he'd need a distraction.
"Hoy! Fetch!" He threw one of the crossbow bolts at Darkness' face. Hopefully the demon would snap at the bolt rather than go for Sterling as he uncapped the vial of holy water and steeped his finger in it.

Dark hissed and starts to follow the bolt, giant mawed mouth snapping and missing by an ich as he chased it with his head. His horns get stuck in the ground once he caught it, tail moving side to side a bit. He then growls and goes to trying get his head and horns free, claws spread and the runes pulsing rapidly.
Sterling wasted no time in tracing the runes. He even dipped his other hand into the holy water to make it go faster. But even so, he was precariously placed between Darkness' clawing feet. He didn't focus on the fact that one swipe would rip him open. He focused on getting the runes dissolved instead. Assuming of course the runes would disappear the same as the others.
Darknes hisses in pain, the runes starting to sizzle away as he began to thrash about angryly. ''Hiiiiisss!!!!''
He dodged the first swinging claw, but the subsequent ones were nearly impossible to miss. And the limb he had been dissolving runes off of was not remaining still.
He yelped as pain blossomed through his side, but he continued working on the runes, switching to another limb when it presented itself to him. The more he did now, perhaps the sooner Darkness would change back. Assuming Sterling lived long enough to see his efforts come true.

Eventually Dark fell to the pain and passed out, limp. All the runes burned away, leaving his arms bare. The mask slid off to show his face had no eyes, only root-like veins that stood where eyes must have been once.
"All that for the mask?" Sterling muttered, dousing his hand in more holy water to continue until all the runes he could see were gone.
He only got about halfway before he realized that the holy water on the edge of his fingers was turning pink instead of clear. He paused and turned his arm over, seeing a very distinct line of red blood trailing down his arm, starting from a gaping wound in his shoulder. Somehow, in his focus of tracing the runes, he hadn't felt the pain that indicated his shoulder had been ripped open.
Now that he saw it, though, he couldn't take his eyes off it. "Oh no..." He muttered, realizing that his right side was also covered with blood from his injured shoulder.

Dark cringes, and a dull numbing feeling covers the gash it unexplainingly healed over slowly. The scar appeared on Darks shoulder, looking worser. But Dark just grinned lightly, the dark scales turning white as the veiins vanished and feathers fully covered his wings.
Sterling watched as his gash healed in front of him, and then hearing Darkness moving again, looked back to see a similar scar forming over his shoulder.
"Oh...oh wow." He hastily got to his feet and stepped out of wing and foot and tail vicinity. And then he glanced over at Hybrid to check if he was getting all this.

Dark winced but rose to his feet as the rope turned into chains stuck deeply into the ground. The horns dulled and cracked befoe falling away into ash. All that was left was four broken nubs. His claws dulled until they were thin, and the blade just turned to dust as feathers on his tail replaced it.
''Ugh...'' Dark groaned, still bear-sized but now solid white with feathered wings and a bleeding shoulder.
Elder had fell asleep.

Elder had fell asleep.
"Uh, Darkness? Is that you again?" Sterling didn't dare approach, but he turned his attention back to the mutating mass in front of him.
Dark stumbles a bit, but nods. ''Yes, but where's everyone?'' The red moon out fully now, shining down brightly. ''I can't see...MMy arm hurts like heck....Sterling? Elder?''
Elder snored. Loud.
Elder snored. Loud.
"Elder fell asleep." Sterling's voice was inscrutable, impossible to tell if he found it funny or ironic or plain impossible. "I'm over here, just out of reach. And your arm hurts because there's a newly acquired scar--probably from when you ripped my shoulder open. It should fade in a bit, though."
Slowly he relaxed a little. Darkness seemed sort of back to his normal self. "What do you mean, you can't see?"
