Forums » Introductions » A newb to the site but not to roleplay. Hi.

...

Oh hey, you actually clicked on this link. Thank you, whoever you are.

I suppose I should introduce myself. Well, I'm who my characters see as a 'Cheeky Scrub'. I'm a busy college student who has nothing much to do in life at the moment besides let school suck my soul away, so I signed up here, w/o really thinking it through. Real smart, I know.

I'm new to this site and have little to no idea what I'm doing here, but I'm not new to roleplaying. I'm also an aspiring author/artist/animator, who hopes to one day set up the characters I have in here up on their own book/comic/show/whatever I end up doing, so I mostly do roleplays to test out my characters in their various stages of development. Upside; I have a huge cast of characters, from my original verse, each (hopefully)w/ their own personalities and quirks for you to enjoy bringing out and/or making fun of, if you're interested. Downside; I'm probably gonna take forever to make profiles for them all because of their sheer numbers and I can't afford to leave any of them out because they all hold some significance to me so expect updates to be slow.

Speaking of characters, they're glad to meet you(somewhat).

...

Ok, SOME of them are glad to meet you, others are taking themselves and their verse being put up on public display on a roleplaying website in the deep-end of the internet worse than others. Feel free to go right up to any of them, they won't bite(mostly). Some are definitely friendlier than others though, so cross your fingers and hope you picked the right one to make the first impression.

But, either way, they're all here, whether they like it or not. Have fun meeting them and throwing them into whatever fun/crazy/whacky/dramatic/"insert-adjective-of-choice-here" stuff that your verse may have to offer.

Hit me up for an roleplaying game anytime. 'Til then, be seein' you, fellow nerds.
Wow, you and me have a lot in common already. I also have that dream, and my characters also have minds of their own. Some can't stand me most days, one loves me, the rest are neutral... And they also say hi, in their own way.

It's nice to meet you, by the way! I'm Lucreé, but you can call me Light or whatever you think suits me best. If you have any questions, the Help Section is a lifesaver for those starting out here! Also, don't hesitate to ask us if you're still stuck; we're all here to help in anyway we can.

Hope you enjoy yourself here; maybe we might end up RPing together one day!
I have to say this was an amazing intro, it really made me laugh. Anyway, welcome to the community! I'm sure you will love the people here and remember to ask if you ever have questions.

H'chello and Velcome!
Hello and welcome to rpr. You're in good company here. Like you, I'm a college student who creates charcters for my own use in various things. If you're here to try and flesh your characters out by putting them in unique and different situations, well you're in the right place. I know I've fleshed out several of my characters by rping with them here.

The help forum here can be a life saver. You can find rps to join by responding to other people's requests on the looking for rp forums, make your own rp requests, join groups, or even find partners by browsing through the characters on the site.

Ooooh, bjebus. I wasn't expecting this many replies in one day...

Thank you all, for being such a friendly community.

To answer your most common questions for me so far, well...

1. Universe Genre
My original universe is... a complete cluster-buster-poodle-shaboodle-doodle-conglomeration-of-abominations. In other words, I am not sure myself.

Just kidding, I have SOME idea about it's genre but, even if there're a "main theme" or genre, my universe and characters tends to go to wherever the heck it feels like and, in turn, I get stories that feels like they'll either be really awesome or a complete bust, depending on execution and imagination. This is probably what I get for making the multiverse and cross-dimensional travel canon...

Most of my roleplay strong-point genre's consist of mostly adventure, fantasy, some sci-fi, and crossovers but are not limited to them. The only type of roleplay I have not nor will I ever wanna do is smut/porn.

If you're wondering how this all tends to fit both in roleplays and my canon story... it's explained in my canon story.Too bad I barely ever post any of my writing/art. Speaking of which...

2. Art and Writing Stuffs
To be honest, I don't really post my art much, anywhere, out of fear of art piracy. Usually, I only ever "post" art or writing by sending them over private messages or something similar, with close friends. Posting art pieces for public viewing is one of the RAREST occurrences you can get from me.

This community, however, seems trustworthy so if there's any place I can put up art, on this site, I'll be looking for it in the help section or you can feel free to let me know.

Afterwards, do any of the following to boost chances that I'll actually post something by 2-10%:
a. Cross yourself.
b. Start praying.
c. Cry in front of an altar.
d. Get lost in the woods and sleep in the middle of a faerie circle.
e. Screw your characters head on backwards and make them do the chicken dance.
f. All of the above, for better chances of getting the full 10% luck boost.

3. Characters
I have... *Goes to fetch my sketchpad and starts counting heads* about 20 or so characters, give or take. Most probably give.... ok, definitely give.

*Realizes that there're only 10 available character slots for non-epic members* NOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo---...

...

Bah, screw it.

Ok, that's the end of my little ramble. Later, folks, be hearing from 'ya.

Welcome aboard! I hope you have a lot of fun. RP is an awesome way to test the water and play with new characters. :)
I know there are lots of other artists and animators here, too!

I'm so glad you're enjoying us so far. :)

You can put up images on specific characters in a "Gallery widget," if you like. It's a good way to show off references for how that character looks in your brain!

Also, there's an edit button on forum posts that you've made yourself, so you don't need to quote yourself in a new post in order to make an edit. You can do it directly on the original. :) The edit button is near the "reply" button I think you probably used on your last post. :)
