This Looking For RP topic is marked as closed, meaning it is no longer seeking new players.

I've got an all-you-can-eat buffet full of RP ideas, so it'd be a bit tough to list them all in any detail. But I'm gonna try anyway! I'm also open to roleplaying other ideas you might have, but my interests can seem narrow compared to others. ^^; You're also welcome to share story ideas for any of these settings and, if they don't contradict anything in them, I'll be happy to roleplay them with you!

Note that I can create new characters or profiles for any of these as needed. Actually, I'd love the chance to make some new characters for each of these continuities at some point! :D

Promise of the Sun -
Setting is between Low and High Fantasy, with magic gone at first, but later making an appearance. It takes place with a medieval level of technology, circa 13th century.
There's a group called the Nansaluk Hibera (Nasirian Knights) who live in the desert and prepare their people for the coming of "seven shadows". Whether our characters are part of this group or from somewhere else in the setting, there's lots of opportunities for adventure and intrigue! If you decide to have a character join the Nansaluk Hibera, there are four different orders to pick from, each with a different philosophy and genre of story.
Alternatively, I wouldn't mind making a "nation building" RP out of this, since I have so much information about this setting to use. We could even tie it into our characters' stories if you prefer!
(to play the background music on a page, click the bottom left corner)
Relevant characters I can use:
* Marcellus Aemilianus (a young and curious merchant)
* Palmeria di Tella (a well-meaning female Crusader)
* Malador Vesci (a bitter and vengeful Crusader)
* Celestia Galih (a manipulative and cold assassin)
* Faey'ia Talal (an esoteric oracle who speaks in riddles)
* Mu'ayyad al-Amid (a wolven anthro, traditionalist and stern)
* Safah Ziyad (a studious human dervish with a unique understanding of kehla)
* Faizal Najm al-Din (a silent wanderer who understands little of human customs)

Echoes of Pandora (scroll to bottom) -
Setting is Low Fantasy, but it comes back later; it's the same as above, but slightly different.
This one focuses more on Humanity and our characters' efforts to bring back the magic. Without magic, many species died off, some not by choice, others... well, you get the idea. Needless to say, it's a lot more 'post-apocalyptic' compared to PotS.
Humanity is the only sapient life on the planet aside from a few kehla, both 'evolved' and 'unevolved'/archaic. A plague has hit Dakaria and run through much of the world, causing the formation of 'quarantine camps' called Pandorum in Dakaria.
Relevant characters I can use:
* Faizal Najm al-Din (a silent wanderer who understands little of human customs)

Shadow of the Eclipse -
Setting is mixed, but sort of Sci-Fi.
The world is suddenly split into pieces of different AUs (alternate universes), each now neighboring one another. Our characters can even meet their alternate selves! This is the one I've done a lot of background work in, but haven't completed in such detail as "Promise of the Sun" yet. How would differences in one's past experiences change a person? This RP seeks to focus on that very theme!
There are forty-five different "alternate realities" on a scale that determines how different each one is from the other by distance between each along that scale. Y-001 and Y-045, for instance, should practically be polar opposites; whereas Y-001 and Y-002 are extremely similar except for one or two changes.
Again, it could be interesting for a "nation building" RP, if that's what you'd like to play! Otherwise, there's plenty of opportunities for other stories!
Relevant characters I can use:
* Jerome Star (depends on which reality he's born in; usually a spy whose life doesn't go right)
* Gnaeus Dargos (an enigmatic, phantom-like figure; when he shows up, it's because reality around your character is about to change with each passing day)
* Gareth Kendall (depends on which reality he's born in; loves family more than anything)
* Gratianus Caesius (a high-school/college-age girl who knows little of her past)

For Want of a Nail -
Setting depends on reality (AU).
This is the variant focused on developing stories within specific alternate realities, rather than lumping them all together onto a single planet and having them confront each other. The same theme as with "Shadow of the Eclipse" applies: what events cause our characters to be who they are? What if they happened differently or not at all?
For the most part, the only 'universes' I've set in stone so far are between Y-001 and Y-003, but I've actually got enough work done on 004 through 021, 025, 031, 034, 037, 039 and 040 to use them too; I can summarize and/or post them up if requested! Also, bear in mind nearly anything in these 'timelines' can be altered by your character's actions.
Currently, I'm most interested in developing Y-003, a post-cyberpunk setting with a theme like Deus Ex Human Revolution. People are split on the issue of using cybernetics, and there's a lot of intrigue on both sides.
Relevant characters I can use:
(same as "Shattered Mirror")

Wraith of the Oneiroi -
Setting is Modern, but Science Fantasy. Sort of Psychological Horror too, I think.
Characters are normal university students who unknowingly live two lives. When they begin to learn the truth, they face some tough, philosophical dilemmas. I haven't worked on this one in a long time, so I apologize if the site appears a bit unfinished. It's written from an in-continuity perspective.
This involves an idea I got from a weird dream. Without giving it all away and spoiling the mystery and suspense, our characters are involved in something called 'Project Oneiroi', which trains them for very unique jobs in other Projects. They experience other characters' lives with a special device. Subtly ties in with Deus Ex, Assassin's Creed & Lost.
The difference between this device and Assassin's Creed's animus is this one doesn't link to one's ancestors. Instead, it links one's character to another character their player owns.
Relevant characters I can use:
* Jaden Solak (a young, arrogant man who prefers to be alone)

Elysium's Void -
Setting is definitely Science Fantasy, maybe a bit more High Fantasy.
Basically takes place in a timeline involving crossovers of many different universes. Powerful beings manipulate and try to erase all existence. But the actual plots tend to vary depending on setting.
I've got a huge timeline for this one, but as with all my RPs, our characters can change any of it! The list of continuities involved is too big to post here, and it's constantly growing every day (though I haven't updated it in a while). If you see any part of the timeline that piques your interest or gives you ideas, let me know! Otherwise, I'm sure I can pick out something we both like.
There's several ways we can go about this. First, we can focus on one time period.
OR characters could be immortals of a sort who live through much of history as either vampires (starting circa 50 CE), people using the Goa'uld Sarcophagus (Utna and the humans from 74,600 BCE time traveled to 3100 BCE before becoming immortal), formerly ascended beings (including the Isu) or humanoid interfaces/androids/synthetics (such as Yuki Nagato, though there are human-built ones called persocoms who must keep their identity a secret early in their history). Finally, there's the option to take on different characters in different time periods, so each RP is a new and different challenge!
Relevant characters I can use:
* To'raht (a ronay ascendant from a realm called the Age of Aevra) (Myst/Riven for ronay and 'Ages')
* Enki/Akharin (Goa'uld formerly known as Jupiter, now inhabiting an immortal, but human, host) (Stargate for Goa'uld; Assassin's Creed for Jupiter; Star Trek for Akharin/Flint the Immortal)

Star Trek: Rebirth -
Can you guess the setting? XD To be fair, it's TNG-era Trek.
What if episodes of Star Trek: TNG happened differently, or were otherwise completely different? This RP takes on the opportunity to revisit some of our favorite episodes of The Next Generation (and, later, DS9 & VOY) and see how we can shake things up!
At the moment, I'm most interested in starting around the time of Season 3 of TNG, since that's where I left off in a previous RP. There are a few episodes from season 2 I'd like to revisit too. I really have some great ideas for this one, and if you're a fan of this series, I'd love to roleplay your ideas for it too!
Relevant characters I can use:
* Rotas Yorin (Trill science officer who still needs a good backstory)
* Arthur Couer-Reynold (Human intelligence officer shaped by the Orion Syndicate)

Stargate: Forgotten Chronicles -
Setting is centered on SG-1, but may include ATL in the future!
Much like "Star Trek: Rebirth", except from the start, our characters' SG-team will be following up on missions already undertaken by SG-1. For instance, our first mission will be to Abydos to prepare the Abydonians in case Apophis attacks while they're cut off from SGC! Our characters will be part of team SG-8, at least at first.
As you can tell, we start off with season 1 of SG-1 and move along from there. Most of the stories this time, though, follow up on actual canon instead of supplanting it. If anything happens differently, it'll be explicitly caused by our characters!
Alternatively, I have an idea for a Stargate-verse plot that crosses over with Mass Effect...
Relevant characters I can use:
* Caroline Stokes (a fiery and hotheaded soldier who wants revenge)
* Fletcher Hopkins (a soldier who suffers from survivor guilt)

* Some more broad ideas I haven't fleshed out yet -
- Destiny Unbound
A Kingdom Hearts-based RP involving a romp between worlds. Since it was originally written as a story, there may need to be some changes. My character and yours were once close friends before the Heartless tore our world, and each other, apart.
One of our characters goes on to become the Heartless antagonist, manipulating their own Nobody and the other character's Heartless, while the other journeys from world to world to piece together their memories.
- Reap of the Vampire
Another idea I had a long time ago for a story, but never actually wrote beyond a few 'demo' pages. Basically takes place in an alternate history with a powerful vampire coven gaining control over the entire world.
The key to the story, as with Wraith of the Oneiroi, is the mystery and suspense. Our characters are drawn into investigating the mysterious past of the vampires, only to discover some startling truths!

Though I prefer 1x1, I'm willing to try group RP. PM me if interested in any of these!

Anyone else? I'm still open to a few more roleplays!
Draken901

I'm a bit interested in this, though I'm currently re-building a character right now, so I may have to check back later.
Draken901

I'd be willing to play Echoes of Pandora or Promise of the Sun with ye. I think Drake of Sundermill or Myst-Walker would be a good fit for one of the two.

New idea! For Elysium's Void:
Quote:
What would happen if one day you woke up in an unfamiliar place, in an unfamiliar body... and in an unfamiliar time? With no memory of how it happened, no initial clues to go on, how would you adapt? And what if it was all for a greater purpose - one you have yet to learn?

In this RP, you'll play any one of your characters as they wake up each day in a new body, in a new setting, forced to figure out where they are, what's happening around them, and, most importantly, what's happening to them... because there's always another side to every story.

1x1 preferred. PM me if interested!

Can I roleplay with you? The "Promise of the sun" looks interesting

Still haven't given up on any of these ideas yet! PM if interested! :D
