We're moving into our new 'house' this weekend.
It's crap.
The photos looked good. On paper it sounded great. Mum even said it was perfect.
But it's not.
I've never lived in town. I've never lived in less that an acre of land. I've never been without the birds in the morning, nor unable to canoe in the lake. I've never moved in my entire life.
But now I will.
When we got there this afternoon, the previous tenants were still there. They were meant to be out Tuesday.
Alright alright, whatever, right?
It's dirty. It's wet. It still has coat-hangers everywhere. And get this: There's bed-frames in the garden out front.
The outside is full of rubbish, like empty beer cans and even a damn shoe. There's a chicken pen full of rats. There's grass growing out of the water pipes. The garage door doesn't budge. It looks as if they tried to grow toothpaste.
The only good thing about the inside is the kitchen.
My room is the only one that has aircondition. It is also directly linked to the lounge room. It is the smallest room in the house, and our neighbour can see into my room.
It also contains the fusebox.
At least I can mess with my parents.
Another bad thing? Like I mentioned, I've never lived in town nor in a place less than an acre. We have seven chooks, two cats and a cattle dog.
I overheard talk about getting rid of a cat.
That could only result in my kitty, Fluffy, leaving.
He can't go to another family.
He'd have to be put down.
And our dog will escape the yard. There's no fence. We are going to live near a rather busy street. There's also giant dogs roaming around owned by the mechanic near our place.
At least I can lurk around the dark, abandoned streets at the back of our place. It's pretty cool, with burnt out cars, a disassembled truck, a giant empty cargo box thing, a weird church, 50+ tyres and an off-limits piece of land with literally nothing there, I think I could find at least something to do.
But yeah... I'm pretty spooked. I don't like it whatsoever, but we'll have to make do.

The best advice I can give is to make memories. Start a journal or snap some pics. Look for something more than just the outwards negativity. Also, if you keep yourself busy and productive you should be able to adapt to this situation more easily.
Things always look grim and daunting at first, heck even I would be freaking out if this happened to me. But if we can stay loose enough to change and grow as an individual from our trials and adversities we'll become that much stronger and clever.
Don't give up and don't worry. You can make this work for you, just stay on your toes!
