He shot his gaze to Mousestar.... He wondered if he should tell Mousestar what had happened, but he didn't want to get Lightpaw and Stormpaw in trouble..... He swallowed hard.

Mousestar sat down, waiting for an answer

He sat down. "I-I killed Darkstar so you could get your nine lives...." He said. He looked down with his ears drooping and braced for what was to happen.

"Wait, wat?!?" Mousestar asked, "That's great. What he should've gotten for being a traitor." he growled at the end

He looked up, a shocked looked on his face. "Y-You're not a-angry with me...?" He asked.

"I mean, you didn't ask for permission and all, but you did take care of a traitor, who deserted his clan. Sort of proud, but again, follow the code. Maybe, hmmmm, I'll consult with Squirrelheart and see if we should punish you or not, now, let's continue with the patrol." Mousestar said, rising and walking

He stood and followed. He felt better that he had gotten it off of his chest.....

He wen to the border

He followed in silence still. He kept looking around.

Mousestar marked the border

"dovelight, me and lightpaw and ashpaw went to shadowclan to kill darkclaw, it was all my idea" stormpaw said

Dovelight looked slightly surprised but soon recovered. "Did Starclan tell you anything about it?"

HollyStorm went into the warriors den

"you mean after darkstar was killed? I don't think so but I didn't see him in starclan when mousestar got his nine lives" stormpaw said.

He kept silent and still followed.

"Hmmmmm." Dovelight said thinking


Mousestar finished the patrol and headed back to camp

He followed. He stayed quiet and made sure not to say or do anything that would make Mousestar mad at him.

Mousestar looked back, "Ashpaw, I'm not mad at you."

"I-I know." He said, looking at Mousestar with a slight smile. "I just don't want to say anything that will upset you." He waved his tail, slightly.

"Nah, you're my apprentice. I have to get mad at you. But right now, I'm proud that you had the audacity to do it." Mousestar said
