I was wondering if there was or ever would be an option to make characters not show up on the searches, or basically anywhere on the site until the user changed it?

Personally, I have a few characters that I have been tweaking and are not ready for public eye yet. If there was an option to unlist them, it would make the "warning" that they are under construction unneeded and I wouldn't need to worry about anyone seeing them yet.

Yes, this type of thing will exist someday, but I don't have an ETA at the moment.

I would rename them something unsearchable, and then work on them at your leisure.

What do you mean unsearchable?

You could also write WIP in the name so people know they are not done.

Not truly unsearchable, but more difficult. My first thought would just be a random string of letters that wouldn't form any actual words.
