Shaien was yet running away from a demon but this one scared her more than anyome would think. She had seen it kill a human and eat away the human's insides; she nearly threw up.
THe demon had long blood claws, dark green skin, crinsom eyes, and worst of all it had it's sights on her being it's next meal. She didn't know why since she was a troll with gray skin, gold whites, black eyes, and the inside of her mouth was a strange aqua color.
She fell to the ground and looked back at the demon. It was still after her, and not far behind. A scream escaped her lips as she turned her body over and backed away from the creature until she backed into a rocky area where she was conered. She closed her eyes, shaking with fear, waiting for the death blow on her. She sent a pray to the high heavens that she makes a safe trip to wherever she might end up after this. The demon was right infornt of her, ready to kill and eat her.

It was the scream that brought him running. His trench coat flared out behind him in his pursuit, his unsheathed sword ready to deal out death to anything that dared attack a human.
He saw the demon easily enough; it was hardly human, color and threatening posture aside. Whatever it was chasing sounded human enough, though he couldn't quite make out the victim--and he leaped into action.
Just as the creature made it's downward swing for a killing blow, he brought his sword up, blocking the creature's heavy strike. Sterling grunted with the effort of keeping it from landing on whoever was behind him in the rocky area. With a quick disengage, he struck hard and fast at the demon; his sword a blur as it struck vital points.
With a cry, the demon fell, bleeding and dying in the spot where it had nearly fed yet again. And Sterling lowered his sword to the demon's neck, ready to behead the creature if necessary. He was breathing hard, drops of sweat on his forehead.
"Are you alright?" He called to the person he'd just saved; though his eyes never once left the demon.

THe woman's black eyes fluttered open when she heard someone speak. She looked at the demon then at whoever just saved her. "Y-Yes." Her voice was weak.
She stared at the demon, still to scared to move at the site of what almost killed her.
Her carefree, childish personity was gone at the moment she saw that beast eat another human infornt of her.

It seemed the demon was dead. Sterling turned to face the poor girl...and stopped short. Her face was grey, which wouldn't be that unnatural given the situation that had just played out. But this grey extended to the rest of her being, except for her black hair and black eyes. She wasn't exactly human--he could see that much.
Still, she didn't seem to be a threat, and using the demon's clothing, wiped his blade clean. "Good." He sheathed his sword and then, after a moment's pause, extended his hand to help her to her feet. "I might suggest avoiding this area for a while. Blood calls all manner of creatures to it."

The woman nodded, and took the guys hand. Her eyes kept flickering back to the demon and her mind stiring with memories that she had always had trouble memorying in the past.
Most people over looked that she had yellow, organe, and gold striped horns on her head because of her skin color. Along with her having fangs as well, making it harder to figure out what she was.

He helped her to her feet and then paused to give her a once over; this time noting her horns. "What are you, anyway? And why was the demon chasing you?" It didn't make too much sense to Sterling--why a demon would readily take on someone who, well, wasn't human.
Shaien sighed. "A troll, it's a rare race."
The troll race was becoming more and more harder to find as demons killed them off for most of them being a weaker race and an easier meal. They all had a strange blood color that each had was different, Shaien's was light blue. The signs on their shirts is their signs.

Sterling nodded. "Can't say that I've met one of your kind before." But he relaxed visibly. A troll wasn't a demon and it wasn't a vampire. This one seemed young anyway, though he wasn't sure how or why.
"How old are you?" he asked. "Do you need an escort home?"
"How old are you?" he asked. "Do you need an escort home?"
"Fifteen, I think and no." Shaien had a hard time remembering anything besides her name, age, race, sing, and how to play a guitar. It was uncommon for trolls to have a memory like hers, it made her act younger than she was, but she still knew when to act older and serious.
Sterling raised an eyebrow. "You're sure?" But he was already brushing off his coat and looking around. "Fifteen already and just been attacked, but you can handle yourself. The youth of today never ceases to amaze me. Do you have a dagger at least? Or a stake?"
Shaien shook her head. "No, I only have my guitar, and whatever powers a troll holds." She had not clue what is special about her race besides their physcial appearnce.
Sterling sighed and bent to draw a dagger from his boot top and held it out to her, hilt first. "At least take this. A girl, even a troll, should not be left completely defenseless. Especially since I might not be around next time to prevent such an accident from occurring. Ah well, at least it was a good bounty this time."
He snagged some sort of necklace from around the demon's throat and then pocketed it into his trench coat. "Well, I'm off."

Shaien took the dagger he'd offered to her and nodded. "Alright, I better get going as well." She turned towards where she was before trying not to remember the dead human body she saw being eaten by the demon, but bile still rised in her throat.
"By the way," Sterling called over his shoulder. "You did good for being front and center to a killing. Another tip? Don't think about it too much."
Shaien nodded. "Alright, kinda hard though." She started to walk the way she had came, hoping something else got the human body or at least covered it up.
It was only after he'd left her behind that he realized he'd never gotten her name. Nor could he remember whether he'd give his own. He grimaced. Well, if he encountered another "silver" problem, he'd know.
But he would linger in the area for a bit longer. With a fresh kill, the other demons and whatever else lurked in the shadows would be coming out to investigate. Or they'd be taking their revenge, and Sterling wanted to be prepared for the latter.

Shaien had already passed the human body from earlier trying not to scream at the sight of yet another creature eating at what was left. She knew she had to be stronger than this so she could surive.
SHe hated that she couldn't remember anything about her family line, along with bearly anything about her race. Beside that she was one of the only one with light blue blood.

Sterling lingered and did some research about trolls. He asked questions and listened to the answers given. From what he discovered, it seemed trolls had it no better than humans. He wondered if the girl he'd let wander off was okay. But there was no way to track her now. She could be anywhere.
He took to his usual wanderings of the dark and shady corners of the town. And that was when he happened across the partially eaten body being devoured by another demonic-looking creature.
"Really? You're feeding off someone else's kill?" Sterling asked, unsheathing his sword once more.

Shaien was two miles away from the human and the creature she saw. She had put the dagger that the man from earlier in her knee high sneakers, with her guitar case on her back as always.
She had a feeling something was following her and she didn't want to know what. SHe was smarter than it seemed and could sense the other creatures arua and power.

He dispatched the creature without breaking a sweat and then toed the corpse on the ground. "Well, that answers the previous demon I caught." He scowled and bent down to look more closely at the dismembered corpse. "It looks like you weren't the only one to come through here though."
He nudged the body over and looked at the rest of the gruesome marks. He frowned and jumped to his feet again. "Looks like there's something else out there. Something far more sinister than just a weakling demon. And one that prefers live prey to dead."
He scowled and began his attempts to track the creature.
