How?
Sounds good to me

TimeBroker: A voice breaking through the wind that was the desert tundra. It startled the group as a whole. The dreaded man responding first, he turned a 180° becoming the head of the group where he just was the rear. Looking upon what appeared to be an elderly asian gentleman. "So these are the life forces drawn chosen by the Cosmo. Well we shall see. They don't appear much." "I am TimeBroker." Holding out his hand a blue aura formed in his hand. It split into 5 smaller fractions. Roemello not afraid of the light he felt it was almost inviting. Holding out his hands he let the aura envelope them....
A few moments a pair of matching dangling earrings. The jewels at the ends reminded of the gems found in his native land. TimeBroker speaking again, "These personalized items draw their design from your all's deepest memories. They shall perform as communication system between yourself and home base. Your first task as a group is to see if you can traverse this desert to find the Crystal Palace. Always keep the sun behind you."
And just as quickly as the man came, he disappeared in the same blue tinted aura blimp....

The dreaded man turning to the the other 3 beings seemingly stranded with him, "Is everyone alright?"
Blinking as she shielded her face against the sun which beat down on them, its glare made worse by the sands of the desert, Brink watched the exchange between the Asian looking man and the dark skinned man, holding her tongue and trying to keep her face impassive. She didn't understand how she had been drawn here, nor for what purpose.
This wasn't the first time she had been spirited away from her home, though, and this time she took it with equanimity, reaching a few fimgers up to stroke Miko's forehead to calm him. The white ferret looking creature seemed very agitated, his small black feathered wings rifling as he stared around them. She murmered softly aloud to him, though it was unecessary to communicate with him in this way. The noise seemed to calm him some though. As one of the blue lights possibly floated her way, she stiffened, holding herself still and not reaching out as Roemello had done. She watched as it disappeared in a quick blaze into her chest, a necklace appearing round her neck, with a gem the samr color as the light had been, they matched the earrings which appeared in the dark skinned mans hands. Pondering this, Brink touched the necklace softly as she listened to the Timekeepers explanation.
After the man had vanished, tellimg them only to cross the desert, she looked at Roemello as the man addressed them. "Yes. It would seem we are indeed fine." She responded, saying nothing else for the moment. She needed to gather her bearings, to assess this situation further. Who were these other beings?

Ryan glanced around. He had no idea where he was or how he got here but there was one thing for sure, this wasn't the first strange thing to happen. "Yeah I'm fine." He almost stepped as the aura came close to him, he had bad experiences with auras from strange people that he didn't know.
Naoru looked around at the seemingly empty desert and nodded his head. "It seems we are all okay. Where are we though?" he asked as he felt a thin band clasp comfortably around his wrist.
Kneeled down to the ground Roemello seemed to be sifting through the sand with a single hand. Looking across the desert expanse he simply observed. Standing he spoke, "The wind here is blowing North, but for about 50 yards East, horizontally the sand is unbothered. We means there is a structure somewhere, a large structure forcing the winds to wrap around it. If I had to guess that would be our destination." Looking at the wanning sun,"We must make tracks quickly, there has never been a desert that wasn't arctic in temperature at night. We can feel each out on the way, but now we must move..."
Brink gave a firm nod, and without a backward glance moved North, her soft leather booted feet making no noise upon the shifting sands. She wore a dark grey short sleeved vest over top a dusky blue undershirt. The cloth of her leggings were a dark grey as well, and she had a wide sash of scarlet hue hanging before and behind. Upon her back strapped with a quivver of arrows, was an intricately carved bow. Miko ran down her arm and leg and out onto the sands, looking very out of place, the snowy creature amidst the burning sands. She silently asked him to circle their surroundings and investigate.
Checking the pockets of his fitted jeans, Naoru wanted to make sure he wasn't carrying any extra weight. He quickly pulled off his shirt tucking part of it into his back pocket and letting it dangle as he didn't want to become overheated from the desert.
Ryan nodded and shifted his cloak. Usually it was wrapped around him, concealing his body. His dark leather armor could now be seen, no weapon were visible on his belt. "Alright then, anyone know what this Crystal Palace is?" He would prefere to have an idea of what they were getting into to before they arrived there. He took out a silver pendant from his pocket and began swinging it in circles as he followed the other person who had begun to leave.
Kind of spear heading the group, Roemello spoke barely turning his head. "I think the man said something about it being a home base or communications relay outpost. I'm not quite sure but we will surely find out sooner or later...." Momentarily halting in his tracks peering down at the ground, he turned a half step, "Did anyone else feel that?
Brink sped her pace to come to a stop beside the man as he peered down at the earth. She glanced at him and gave a nod of agreement, having felt the shifting beneath them. Crouching slightly she touched the sand, pausing to see if the sensation would come again. As she did so she sent her sight into Miko, her own strikingly pale blue eyes closing.
Seeing from her bonded pet's eyes now, the world seemed to both grow, and shrink at the same time all color but red and grey hues fading away. At their level, pressed against the hot sands, the humans nearby seemed to be very large, especially the dark skinned man standing next to Brink-friend. Affection shot through Miko as he looked at her, then Brink reminded him of his task and he skittered around their small group, showing her through his eyes that there seemed to be absolutely nothing nearby. The sand was odd, though. Up close it seemed to be made up of tiny minuscule crystals, too small to appear as such to human eyes, rather looking to them as sand.
Blinking back to her own mind, Brink turned her head to the others. "The sand is not sand." She offered vaguely, hesitant to share her own findings until she knew how much she could trust these beings.

Naoru looked around watching for any changes in the scenery that might lead to what was causing the trembling but was given little success.
(OOC I will try to keep my posts shorter. Forgot you wanted shorter paragraphs!)
(you're perfectly fine, as long as it pushes the story a bit I can't be mad. I'm just trying to give everyone enough time to respond.)
Only able to feel vibrations underfoot, they were a strong enough for Roeme to draw an image yet. Seeing Brink's furred companion go from a circling patterns to a steady hover, he looked back down Brink. "What does thou see??"
Brink focused on Roemello as the man questioned her, Miko moving up her body to now perch upon her shoulder. The creatures dark eyes focused suspiciously on Roemello, but Brink held her own judgements in check. Distrustful to a fault sometimes, she would need keep herself from being unfriendly, allies would be a good thing here.
She offered a hesitant smile, then answered the question, "We cannot see anything directly around us in any direction, but the sand on which we stand seems to be made of very tiny crystals.." she didn't know if this information would be helpful or not.
