I come here looking mostly for romantic roleplay, adventures, and stuff, either through here, through some IM, or through Furcadia! I am okay with having to roll a die as well.
I like to make concept characters based around specific things I find to be quite original or just overall fun. I think my first character here kind of demonstrates a bit of that.
My main language isn't English, but I prefer to roleplay in it. I am also learning Nederlands, and I'd love to learn new phrases and words, if anyone speaks it.
I can be very busy during the day and night, so I usually log on through my cellphone, which means typing is sloooow and I can take a while to reply, but if you're okay with that, and interested in my character, maybe we should plan something!

Oh, is it? I thought it was quite common! English is actually my second language, I only started speaking it when I was a child. The reason why I prefer to roleplay in it is because I've spent most of my teens roleplaying in my mother-tongue, and I want to get better at writing in English now.

What other language do you speak, if you don't mind me asking? I wish I were bilingual, but I put so much effort into the language of art and music that I'm not sure I have more to expend on a second language. But maybe I'm just being stingy, haha.

I feel this. So much. I write on my phone a lot in the evening too! Kind of challenging, but it's worth it to get some RP replies in.

The fastest way I've found to learn new languages, besides reading and listening a lot or using foreign children school books, is by actually pushing myself to use them somehow. Especially when a conversation sparks, I end up learning new things, fixing mistakes, or just getting used to the language.
Overall, if your main language is English, it will still take a little more time to learn Spanish than it would to learn French, for an instance, so it's natural to take your time!
